    I have mild, mostly hormonal acne and stared using differen about 2 weeks ago. I use a pea sized amount every other day sandwiched between two layers of lotion. Obviously it hasn't affected my acne yet, but my skin texture looks so nice lately! I was almost late to work this morning because I was so distracted by my face in the mirror 😂

Sometimes when I watch other creators I feel stressed and insecure because I’m almost 30 and should be getting Botox and fillers soon but as soon as I watch your videos I chill out because sometimes that’s just not realistic or needed. Differin gel was ROUGH for me but I stuck it out. The first six months my face was falling off. I couldnt smile without skin cells falling everywhere. It was so itchy and painful and red. My derm kept telling me it was normal and to keep it up. I ended up at a cosmetic surgeon for a different reason and she told me to reduce it to 2 times a week and my skin finally improved. Definitely do not recommend daily use if this is youe first retinoid!

    I've started using differin again as I'm realizing I've never really used it properly. So far my skin texture is looking better and I use it with cerave hydrating cleanser and cerave moisturizing cream and it takes care of that dryness. My skin hasn't peeled or flaked once so far in the few weeks I've been using it. In fact I'd say my skin dryness is better than ever.

    I've been using Differin for 3 months now and love it. It's so helpful for my acne. I have pretty much clear skin on a good day. I will say I only use it in the morning because when I used it at night and went to sleep, the gel spread around my neck and my eyelids and they was so irritated. So daytime only for me! It does make the skin red sometimes so I do it every other day when I feel like my skin is too dry or too red.

  • @gokcebeyza

    @gokcebeyza

    Make sure your skin is dry before using differin. If you use moistureizer before differin wait for your skin to completeley absorb it then afterwards put differin that way it wont spread. And redness might be from the sun because differin can be irritating with sun. Thats why it is mostly used at night time.

    I've been using differin for 5 months now. After hearing multiple KZread dermatologists warn against using too much product and advise only applying thin layers to the skin, I've been careful to apply the thinnest layer possible almost every night. Over the past 5 months of nearly nightly use I've only managed to use about 2/3 of one tube and my acne has gradually gotten worse and worse. At first I thought I was just purging for a crazy long time but now I'm thinking I'm probably not applying enough! Thank you for showing what you mean by "pea size".
