There is sadly not much to do with him since in DC the government is usually against the heroes and all that.

They have consistently written Captain Atom off badly and really don't understand the nature of his powers. For example in the fight with Superman, he was getting tired - but as a being of energy that should never happen. In the Injustice arc, all they would have had CA do is mimic Kryptonite energy and that's all she wrote.

Dolphin was definitely on Young Justice and had a pretty decent arc

What about Owlwoman, Bushmaster, Flamebird, Tasmanian Devil, Nightshade, or Bloodwynd!

And also Cyclone, Liberty Belle, and also Fire, and Ice!

It would be neat to team up both hero Huntress' against the villain Huntress. Three Huntress' together.

And now I'm reminded of how DC screwed Hawk & Dove over in the 90s with the Armageddon 2001 thing.

Captain Carrot and the amazing zoo crew was so damn good.

Hawk and Dove were really cool to see in the live action Titans show

Dolphin is back she was in beast planet Amanda Waller captured her

Didn't know about the female version of Aztek. Silencer in another character that disappeared after her own series.

Nice list… I would love a part 2 with Crimson fox, the Global Guardians, Buletteer etc

If the CW decides to make more shows based on DC properties, Huntress should be one of the properties under consideration.

Strong 💪🏾 list Amazing 🤩 Amanda , not truly being up on current comics , I can’t offer any suggestions for a part 2 , but Please make one …Although I do believe Kyle Rayner has not been around for awhile…Pre Spyrll Helena Bertinelli/ Huntress is my personal favorite Gotham Girl over Babs, Cassandra, Steph, Selina, Harley, Kate, Ivy ect ect definitely over Punchline, & yes even Dinah , but that’s close … Staying Nerdy , Keep Up The Great Work 🖖🏾

Thank YOU for commenting. Hopefully I get to talk about John throughout the rest of this month in a more positive light. He's a great character and deserves all the love and respect. I don't know HOW I'm going to bring myself to take him out in the newest Arkham game. :')

Gavin King’s Orpheus…he had a very short run , never really catching on which as a Black man disappointed me , because he had a cool backstory & Amazing looking custom …being Black History month he’s my choice…Staying Nerdy 🖖🏾

Hawk & Dove did make an appearance in "Titans" as reoccurring characters. But I only watched the first season, so I don't know how if they continued into other seasons.

Dolphin's been around since the 60's. I remember seeing her in stories with The Sea Devils - another blast from the past - along with Rip Hunter, Cave Carson, and The Challengers of the Unknown.

I always liked Helena Bertinelli.

Vibe isn’t really that obscure… he was a full-time member of the Justice League in the early ‘80s. He joined around the same time as Vixen and Steel. Collectively, there were only 19 JLA members before them… (but they only lasted about 16 issues - maybe that’s why Vibe was overlooked.)

Paul Moses From RED Know As Frank Moses In the movie adaptation the sole protagonist In the original RED graphic novel until the 2010 movie but ever since RED 2 the character and IP are collecting dust hopefully DC can bring It back or not

I had never even heard of dolphin until Young Justice and that was only from seeing a review of the episode telling me that the character was dolphin. It's like oh okay

Just a few comments from me - Captain Carrot appeared in the series leading to Dark Crisis - Justice League Incarnate and maybe also in Dark Crisis (still haven't finished reading it). Hawk and Dove appeared in Titans Hunt couple of years back - as a long time fan of Young Justice show I really enjoyed that series. Sideways as concept was good, also his series was pretty solid in my opinion. Too bad none of the heroes was popular enough to stay permanently. Only downside of New age of heroes was that they all felt like ripoffs of Marvel characters - Damage seems too similar to Hulk, Terrifics were DC version of Fantastic 4 with the same powers, Sideways could be considered DC's Spider-man etc Didn't know about other mentioned entries in the list except of Captain Atom who I remember from Brightest Day event and Dolphin who I remember from Young Justice but can't say for sure which version came first - whether it was in Aquaman comics or TV show

Not necessarily a hero but Silencer is another one who has disappeared. DC has a LOT of characters that they've just forgotten about.

1:12 - for context, because Alan Moore wanted to use a lot of characters DC had just acquired the rights to for _Watchmen_ and was refused, so he created paper-thin ripoffs of them.

The original one from _JLA_ was a guy, though he died after learning that he was created to . . . tl;dr, his handlers wanted him to be a villain.

During Blackest night one of the writers at a comic con where asked about Captin Atom. And the writer who started doing comics working on Captain Atom comics said "They don't need him in the DC landscape, because he's essentially a less interesting version of Firestorm".

American Comics just really stink rigt now!
