Mr. Nobody was a character on Lost in space back during one episode of their run from 1965 - 1968.I think it was in 1965 or 1966. As I think it was in black and white although a long time since I saw it.

Watching this countdown I just feel like there's probably a screenwriter at DC/Warner Bros Studios also watching this then sees one of these characters in the countdown and acts like Barney Stinson thinking 'Challenge Accepted'.

...You’re kidding right? At least half of these characters could be adapted to the big screen. Snowflame? Have his powers come from a drug called Snowflame, like how Bane relies on venom. If you can make movies about sentient cars and buildings work, you can do the same for a street. Heck, Dial H for Hero sounds like it’d be an awesome film!

The first thing I thought of for Dial H for Hero was the potential for the toy lines. Action figures and Lego minifigs, etc. The street character could be introduced in a sequel to the movie Rubber. "Rubber 2: Where the Rubber Meets the Road, Literally"

danny the Street is on Doom Patrol

Doom Patrol on the DC streaming service already brought Mr. Nobody to life as well as Animal Vegetable Mineral Man (dude really needs to change his name) for good measure. If DC can do characters as absurd as those two, the possibilities are endless. Also Dial H For H.E.R.O. inspired the creation of Ben 10. And cartoon network did two so-so live action movies. But Dial H can be 3rd times the charm especially with the new comic book that's out giving us a new wielder of the dial and possibly a definitive story for the character of Miguel.

Yep, the Doom Patrol show is shooting for full-on Morrison and it's working out great so far.

Mr. Nobody´s introduction in Doom Patrol has been pulled off greatly, why not the Brotherhood of Dada?

With the right team all of them can make it in the big screen it just depends on the script and tone of the movie. 1.Snowflame can be an R rated tragic movie where the main character is imagining he is Snowflame while being addicted to drugs and his enemies being different people in his life thus having either a very tragic ending or a redeeming one, hell the villian could be the very person trying to save him in the real life. 2.Humpty Dumpty , I dont know much about the DC character but from the description here you can either go a comedic super hero route with Humpty Dumpty either being an accidental villian or a movie about super heroes but from the perspective of a regular human who has a lot of bad luck and its thrown into awkward or funny situations in a world filled with heroes . If that doesnt click ,you can also go the tragic story route. 3.Dial H for hero is easy , like someone said in the comments is almost like the series Ben 10 , you can either go a more lighthearted funny tone and leaving the actual dial in or change it into something else that gives you random powers or turns you into a random hero everytime the world needs you. This one isnt too hard. 4.Danny the street can make a cameo in any of the movies like in a Guillermo del Toro style Justice League Dark movie , it would be similar to how a poltergeist looks on screen , the only problem on that movie is that they already have a living house ( or several depending on the source material). But he can appear as a cameo in any movie. 5.Kamandi is similar to Planet of The Apes so its not that hard to come up with something for him. Apocalyptic future or alternate reality or abandoned child on Monster Island.He will just need a good origin to give good reasons as to why he is a Tarzan type character. 6.Onomatopoeia , ok this one may be a little hard for the medium but having a thriller or detective movie where the villian can immitate any noise ( include having him immitate any persons voice too) to misdirect his pursuers could be a really good movie.It needs a really good script something like a Nolan or some other really good one to make the movie a kinda of Memento or Split or even Seven movie something that makes you guess and tricks you all the way to the ending where his character is reveal. Hell imagine something like the movie Phonebooth where it was mostly about sound through out 80% of the film , have him play mind games with the protagonist to the point he almost break only to reveal that everything was fake he had no hostages , nobody was in danger other than the protagonist and anything he did or said was a lie. I have to admit it would take someone way smarter than me to come up with something good for him on the big screen but I know someone out there can do it too. 7.The Brotherhood of Dada actually sounds really fun and with advances in cgi it can be done.The audience this days is more educated on stuff like different types of realities , magic , alternate universes, etc so having them on screen is not that big of a deal just needs the right director and writer.Something like Caroline comes to mind when thinking of a good origin story for them and the tone , doesnt evenhave to be stop motion or animation. 8.Superman red and blue just needs another director and writer with another style that isnt dark like Snyders ( I loved Man of Steel but obviously red and blue dont fit in there at least not like they are originally). 9.Batmite is easy. You have the answer int he video make him an hallucination ( maybe because of Tech eeerm the Mad Hatter Batman villian). 10. Mr. Mxyzptlk in a movie would be kinda hard for the regular movie goer and is more for tv like it has been done but it can still appear just not as a main villian in my opinion. Unless you make something silly like a Suicide Squad kinda thing where they need to save a hero trapped by Mr. Mxyz ( they wouldnt know is him until the end) the character would just be having fun with the Squad by watching them die in the most horrible way possible , obviously make the movie R.

@@jaredgarcia8638 originally ben 10 concept was suppose to be a relauch/reboor for dial h for hero but DC rejected the idea so joe russo band togheter with other people creating the team man of action to further develop the ben 10 concept and made it into a tv serie and the serie became an instant hit We have to thank DC for rejecting the ben 10 concept,they might have regret that decision but not us becaus we got the awsome ben 10 show

Fun Fact: Onomatopoeia was originally going to appear in the "Arrow" television show in the episode "Home Invasion." However, Kevin Smith said how the character can't work out of comics, so they changed the character to the "Mr. Blank" assassin. I personally think he could work, using the comic book sound effects and fighting someone like Green Arrow.

Mr. Mxyzptlk wouldn't work as a primary antagonist in a movie, but I could see him as a minor nuiscance or secondary villain. Certainly as a cameo. But granted, most comic book characters work way better in a serialized medium like TV shows or (obviously) comics.

Kamandi is so ridiculous yet so awesome at the same time. I would love to see Warners try to adapt that comic, but the budget would be insane.

I think Danny the Street could actually work in the Doom Patrol show.

The Spectre is another one. The power of G-d's wrath unleashed. He can do anything except what heaven actively stops. And that level of OP... is hard to make work in any story, because he can just fix/end the problem with just a thought.

"Dial H" seems like one of those things that would only work on a serialized or episodic medium. Perhaps the Arrowverse could provide it a home?

I think it'd be interesting if they use him as a b-plot/secondary arc for the "1st film' and then make him the proper/primary villain of a later one... he's a little too 'off' even by Batman standards to carry his own project without 'priming the pump'... and it'd provide a better sense of continuity than the stock format of "Superhero: The Movie: Part 3: Now with Even more Villains"

Snowflame could totally work. Dial H for Hero is literally Ben 10. Humpty Dumpty can be done, if handled correctly. And Doom Patrol smacked your face with a huge comical pimp slap glove when it comes to Danny. Literally every one on this list can either be done or we're already done in one way or the other.

I can imagine onomatopoeia in a live action adaptation if they portray him as a really insane and scary character.

Doom Patrol has done 2 of these characters already and Peacemaker has confirmed that Batmite is canon in the DCEU so its possible for him to show up, maybe even Mr. Mxyzptlk.

showflame sounds like the easiest character to adapt. he can be a recovering addict and have a emotional crisis of either saving people or being sober. you get flashbacks to his origin story and rise to fame in contrast with his life trying not to use cocaine any more.

I had no idea some these were even a thing. I mean, a sentient street?!

@@bigo8647 Its a live action show revolving around the classic DC comics team Doom Patrol with this version of the team consisting of Robot Man, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman, The Chief, Cyborg and Crazy Jane. I think the most common thing most people would know the Doom Patrol from is in the Teen Titans animated series but they appeared in comics long before that show and I think even before Teen Titans in the comics.

I would love to see dial H in a series format, and i want DC to go crazy just like with DP.

We've already had Cocaine Bear, now give us Snowflame.

Superman the Animated Series had a pretty easy time adapting Mxyzptlk. Batman the Brave and the Bold had an easy time adapting Kamandi and Bat-Mite.

...so great to stumble across this video over 4 years after it was published ...and to know that Danny The Street actually did debut in season 2 of Doom Patrol and, I belive Onomatopoeia is set to appear on Superman & Lois this coming season ..maybe there's hope for others on this list to still make the leap to live-action 🤔😅

You know who’d be great as Mxyzptlk? Warwick Davis. He played Wickett the Ewok in Star Wars, and the Leprechaun in the Leprechaun series. While the material could be tough to come up with, he’d be the perfect actor for the mischievous imp.

Most of the problems with these is that the writing staff will have to choose between pleasing the public, or the fans of comics.

The Brotherhood of Dada is coming to Doom Patrol season 3, it will be awesome as always

Dial H for Hero is basically the same premise as Ben 10. What would make it hard to adapt is that everyone would be comparing it with Ben 10 and saying it was ripping it off. Batmite has already appeared in the animated series. And Mr. "Mixed Pickles" appeared in animated shows years ago. Both are essentially the same characters but for different superheros. I don't see a problem with getting them into a movie, but they would tend to overshadow the hero.

Onomatopoeia could be cool in a movie. Maybe whenever he mimics a sound, the noise that would be there would be cut out. That could make for a cool, stylised scene where he shoots someone and all noise goes quiet except for him saying "Bam"

Mxyzptlk was on Supergirl AND Smallville. Yes, he wasn't an imp from the 5th dimension, but he was still used. And if those shows can use him, then he can certainly be adapted better in a movie.

Snowflame would be good actually. If it had that “The Wrestler” tone with a little “Hancock” and dash of Jon Favreau humor.

Snowflame. Cocaine is his god, his power, and his weakness. He only shows up for one comic, and died soon after.

Some of these would be adaptable if certain liberties were taken with the character, like Onomatopoeia would be a terrific and terrifying villain if he can mimic sound perfectly and with almost nobody being able to distinguish it from the real thing.

Just think that Mr Mxyzptlk and Bat-mite are essentially cartoon characters in the world of DC. Like, Looney Tunes level of cartoon.

I think dial H for hero would make a good tv series if done right. I think it would make a good kids cartoon where each episode the protagonist, whoever it is, become one superhero from the dial each episode. Also instead of an old ass rotary dial, use a modern cellphone for the dial H for hero stuff. Be creative with a backstory though

I could see Dial H for Hero working as a live action show if done similar to the Game of Thrones set-up. Would be interesting
