I work in the oilfield and the only problem I have with EV is that they think is all green when lithium mining is done in 3rd world countries with horrible working conditions and when they recharge the batteries a lot of it is done by coal plants which produces the power to charge the car. Oil is a dirty business for sure but let’s not act like a EV is “saving” the planet

You mention the tobacco and oil industry doing what they do for money, same could be said for the gun industry. Just like the oil industry campaigns to get public opinion against electric vehicles, the gun industry campaigns in their own way to get people to buy guns. I think you're wrong on the public opinion of Tesla cars, they're pretty incredible. They're not very affordable and there aren't many readily available for purchase, but other than a few production hiccups, are very nice vehicles.
