Good vid I like the picks but I'd also add ASM 123 which is a pretty solid cover and book. My favorite on the lost is mp 47

@@Swagglehaus Sooo. I did not get any of these. 😂 I did snag an Amazing Spider-Man 252 (you know what this is, c’mon) for $96, and a All-Star 58 (First Power Girl) for $136!

Marvel Premier 1 i feel is going to be the go too for Warlock, IMHO. Also Ive been hard pressed to find an Iron 282 near $100 in the wild. Greta list!

Great picks. I got a deal yesterday cause I picked up the first app of Gambit,Mr Sinister,Omega Red,Black Heart and Frog from Thor for $5.00 each and all books where very fine to NM.

Recently got back into collecting after 10 years. Just bought a Fantastic 4 #73 for under $100. Really got the juices flowing again.

As the biggest Defenders fan out there, I’m proud to own the first appearance of Nighthawk who had a HUGE influence on everyone’s favorite Non-Team.

Another book similar to Gamora is 1st Nebula (Avengers #257) - she’s such a popularcharacter. Wonder why her first appearance is so grossly undervalued. You can get a raw high grade for $60-100 bucks

Yeah I love that book! I think its just not quite at that price point because its a copper age one (and maybe collectors don't love the cover)...but over time I could see it going up a lot.

Been looking for Hulk 102 for a while, $100.00 is going to be hard if you want a nice copy. Also, been looking at Ms. Marvel #1, on my short list, Nice summary.

For sure, its starting to heat up. But I've come across a few VG copies at the $100 price point recently. I guess it depends on how much of a stickler you are for the grade, but I don't mind nice presenting lower grades :)

I've been wanting to pick up marvel premiere 47 for a while but I can't find one at this price point in a condition I'm happy with. The search continues 😁

Very good video. I did snag 2 of these books for around or under the $100 price. One question. Why do you only reference the writers? The artists really deserve credit, too. Just my two cents.

Great question...I should also reference the artists...and I used to, but what happens is sometimes the cover art and interior art are different, and I found myself saying like 3-4 names and thought "ehh this is too much extra info" and decided to just go with writer - but maybe I should just put the info in the slides and just not verbally say it out loud?

@@Swagglehaus I honestly think “By John Smith, with interior art by Joe Smith and cover by Fred Smith” isn’t too bad. But yeah, at least on the slide.

@@Swagglehaus Go with the credits page (you can always do a shout out to the cover artist). Example ROM #1 by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema with a covery by (then up and comer) Frank Miller.

Good ideas. Now we need analysis on the best time to flip the books.

I had a Marvel Premier 47 years ago but sold it. Should have held on to that. I have FF 94. Low grade but I got it years ago. It'll stay in the PC. I sold Strange Tales 178 (9.2) and 180 (9.4) this past year. I have a lower grade Strange Tales 178 (raw) that I should take a closer look at.

What do you think about Iron Man #170...Rhodes is right there on the cover putting on the armor for the first time..?

Yeah I think that's a nice book that will get hot during Armor Wars (especially if he puts on the red and gold suit)...I just think most people identify rhody in the War Machine armor - so I prefer that one.

I generally like silver age but it is getting harder and harder to find a decent grade of any silver age books for under 100 bucks

Yeah def getting tricky, but depending on what grade you're open to. I think there is still a lot of nice presenting VG copies you can find great deals on - especially in the wild or ebay auction.

Yeah...I just got a Superman 233 with the Classic Neal Adams cover just barely a VG and it was almost a hundred with shipping. Anything in FN or better was double that.

Look at some of the recently sold auctions on eBay. Lot of this book going around the $100 price point. Sometimes even less. I recently found a copy at my LCS for $80 - good deals are out there 👍

Overall a very nice selection the only thing I question is your completely ignoring DC on the list you are some good DC books that wants to look at what the hundred dollar price point

Yup pretty much…Although I could have added Tale of Teen Titans 44 in this video. A great book at the value range!

Went and bought a Transformers Beast Wars Botcon Exclusive 1st Appearance of Optimus Primal in comics ahead of the new Transformers Movie

I got lucky and snagged the first 3 issues of Transformers for 65 bucks a few days ago. Transformers 1 is one to get ! You really need to familiarize yourself with some of the non-Marvel books that are investment worthy. Not just DC but Image, Dark Horse etc. Terminator # 1, Predator # 1 and on and on..there is more to the hobby than Marvel.

The prices you think these are selling for? You can't find them. I know its a if you see them thing, that's cool but still.

Yeah I realize they may not be "easy" to find at this exact range. But every so often I notice these books at auctions and finishing around that price point. $100 can still be a big number for people so I wanted to recommend books I feel like are "great buys at this price" vs. books that I'm not as confidant about that I think will one day go over $100 - if that makes sense.

I just got avengers 69 all need now is 70 and 71 that’s a good Kang book also!

I'd rather have five of X-Men Adventures #1! With multiple generations of X-Men fans out there, that book will absolutely explode, and they are hard to find in really nice condition.

Ok, but I'd rather speculate on comics literally released in 2022 not from 20+ years ago. Where are the videos on stuff being released tomorrow?

Hulk #102 is pretty expensive on ebay.

Yeah some of these books are tricky. I realize they may not be "easy" to find at this exact range. But every now and again I notice auctions for most of them selling for $100. Part of the idea of the video too is just maybe think of it as "IF you find these books at this price, they'll be really good buys" imho

Really? I did a bunch of research going into this one and found recently sold items on eBay for all of them at this level. A lot of these books have buy it bows on eBay currently around this price. Two books I agree that are pushing are hulk 102 and MP1 (which is why I gave the alternative books next to them)…but I saw both of them at shows recently at the price point and some auction snipes as well. I think the deals are out there 👍.

Some of them are a bit harder than others, but they're out there (depending on how choosy of a grade you are going for). A lot of these books I notice sell at auction for this price range, so good to try the auctions when they come around.

No clue where you find these books for $100 or less. Name of video should be, Books You'll Never Find for $100 or less lol.

Sorry you feel that way. All these books are ones that I have either seen at LCS's/Shows at this price point, available on Ebay right now or recently sold on ebay at auction for around this price. You may have to utilize a bit of patience when going after these books, but that's why I recommend this window as being a great entry point for them.

@@Swagglehaus good hunting, you are correct that there are copies close to $100 of most of these books but, personally they are too torn up for my liking. I also take auction ending prices with a grain of salt, I understand that if I was in said auction bidding, I would have to pay more than the ending price to have won that auction. Instead of the person who won and there's really no way to know how much they would've kept bidding.

no cares about a C or D list character thats all Agatha is marvel going down a dangerous path here ...,,shows have been mediocre at best .,,you cant wait 3\5 years to intro the x;men
