This has been my favorite of your videos. It was so long by end I forgot all the ones I had but off top my head let me see...ASM 101 & 124(WHICHEVER issue is man wolf 1st app) Tales to astonish 79, she hulk 1, marvel spotlight 6, TOD #1 & 10, AND BetaRayBill first app... Which I ve been thinking we would see BRB soon in MCU but would make oot sense to see him in a Guardians movie since he's like cruising round space when he finds mjolnir and thor chilling with guardians now. Anyway good video. I do have werewolf by night (jack russell)#1 but not his first app....o yeah I have first app the wrecker too.

I have 1 copy of a graded savage she hulk 1. I'm not sure if I should keep it or sell it while it's hot. Do you think if I keep it, and show finishes, will book continue to climb afterwards or will this book hit its peak now only? What do u think?

Thanks! Nice company to be in :). I def think Daredevil #2 is a great book to own. I like that it is a double 2nd appearance - and on top of us getting Daredevil in the MCU there is now talk of doing more with Jamie Foxx Electro. So a great book to have. I 100% believe that RDJ will make an iron man return to the MCU in the future...they'll all be back ;)

I'm glad I have a few of these... Do you think the What If Vol. 1 #10 where Jane Foster had found the Hammer of Thor would be another one to look at?

Great vids. Do you check for restoration with a black light on your high $ raws. Do you really feel Dick Ryder aka Richard Ryder is good spec where do u see him in MCU?

@@Swagglehaus I dont know about a 'werewolf universe ' lol But I am betting both will show up. One in a lead role and the other ( most likely Jack Russel ) in a supporting role. Similar to what they did in Ghost Rider with Nic Cage and Sam Elliot.

I'm a big Wrecking Crew fan and have most of their appearances including the three Defenders books. I hope they get a nice bump but I won't be selling them unless I score some doubles.

Its really hard to say...in most cases I would say to wait after the show...but with certain "A-tier" characters there are very few dips. I would honestly only buy it if I was able to find a great deal..so make sure you really study those FMV's

Hey Swag, any difference between the Direct version and Newsstand version of Moon Knight #1 (1980)? meaning, is the newsstand close to Direct in availibility or is NS very rare?

In that year the direct edition would have been "more rare"...but a lot of collectors still favor newsstands because the thought is people handled them more poorly. I personally think in that year it doesn't matter and you can go for either. But thats just my opinion.

Have you seen the spec regarding Shuma-Gorath vs. Gargantos? While there have been rumors that Shuma-Gorath will appear, Lego has released a set with a similar character as Shuma-Gorath but referring to it as Gigantos, a character that first appeared in Sub-Mariner 13. I'm wondering if that's just a misdirect. I'm just glad I got a copy of Marvel Premiere 10 before it went nuts.

Yeah I mention Gargantos while talking about Shuma...I think there might be a legal reason that they can't use ShumaGorath, but I think we could still see him. Maybe they just refer to him as "the old one" or something liek that.

@@Swagglehaus Sorry, I forgot you mentioned that in the video. Good point about possible legal issues with Shuma-Gorath. The concept came from a Robert E. Howard story, "Dig Me No Grave."

Tomb of Dracula # 1 has gotten so expensive. I managed to get a copy for a few hundred but it's only a mid grade. Should have scored it a long time ago.

Just curious…when someone buys a spec book about a certain character being in a film- will the price drop from it’s hype driven value or continue to increase after the show/movie is over? Does this depend solely on how well the show or movie is received, or are there other factors? 🤔

Personally in my experience collecting comics, the value will always go up. It may take years but they hold their value. As time goes on, comics get destroyed and lost, and when a new character comes out let’s say MCU, a spike will increase the value. The only time I think the value will go down is if they do a reprint of an issue but it won’t drop much and in fact could cause the value to increase because people will want an original issue rather than a reprint

I agree with Ethan. There’s a peak in value right after the trailer, a plateau or even minor slump around when the movie is released, and then values begin ticking up again 6-12 months later.

Moon Knight often gets thought of as a pound land Bat Man but he was designed with one purpose in mind. To be a werewolf killer. Nothing would make me happier in the show than to see him go up against the werewolf. Also just think of the insanity of WWBN #32 becoming a double key? May well be worth hoovering up those true believers copys as the real thing rises even further.

Surprised you didn't include Morbius #1. Clea just became the Sorceress Supreme in the Marvel Comics after killing Dr Strange. Also like Hercules first solo: Hercules: Prince of Power #1. Bout to send my Astonishing X-Men #6 off to get graded. Man, that Annihilation Conquest #6 is already around $100 book raw. I do like it as a good spec. Man, I want to get my hands on some Warlock keys, but can't afford it right now. Life of a broke speculator.

Which Morbius comics does he say "It's Morbin' time"?

I had not heard that potential Clan Destine connection for Ms. Marvel. Knowing the origin for those characters, I can’t see how it would work to shoehorn in Ms. Marvel, but anything is possible. Regardless, I absolutely LOVED Allan Davis’s Clan Destine, and if this would help reboot more issues featuring those characters it would be a win for sure.

Yeah its a rumor that has been circulating around - apparently Feige didn't want Khan to be an inhuman (maybe too much information to put on the mcu audience) and the clan destine has some role to play instead.

Star Lord was actually Marvel Preview 4.

Are they really an investment the movies are changing and the audience is starting to lose interest? Not counting Deadpool 3

shuma-gorath at now is a mess, what we see in the post credit scene is shuma-gorath, also what we see in LEGO Marvel 76205 is shuma-gorath but they call the set gargantos showdown.

if the lego set is called gargantos, then whey would you think it's shuma-gorath, and not gargantos. I am sure marvel would not put them in the same movie because they are to similar for the average movie goer. and gargantos being a sub mariner villain and that the end credit scene shows the place flooded I would think it is gargantos, could be a way to hint towards sub mariner.

both character's are green one eyed monsters with tentacles. I would lean towards the lego set being correct. but who knows until it's released. might as well pick up the first apperance of gargantos to have your bases covered.

@@loumonoph my meaning is that seems that for the MCU we will have shuma-gorath called gargantos, for the spec market is not good, if you look at the first appearance of gargantos and the first appearance of shuma-gorath it will be more clear, what we see in the lego and spiderman endcredit is what in the comic is called shuma-gorath

Werewolf by night #32 was already way to expensive

What is with everybody getting into all-things-collector now and trying to monetize everything? It doesn't feel genuine. Plus looking at your KZread channel, these vids haven't been a thing for that long; only since the pandemic. That's always a sign of the thirst. It's the same thing with sneakers and all these resellers popping up out the blue and "speculating" on general release shoes.

Most of those covers were ugly in my opinion, I thought cover art was important, as well as first appearance, as well as story and art, as well as historic significance, rarity and that.

Swag!...you act like marvel spotlight 5 is a easy book to get!...the average collector like myself can't afford that

Just funny to think I bought the first 10 moon knight books for a dollar each a few years ago… She Hulk I got for $20 in high grade…I wish I was thinking beyond just my collection and bought doubles. The lesson to learn is always buy doubles.

I just started doing that about a year and a half ago - buying doubles. 35 years of collecting and I never doubled up until now. But I only started selling comics about 10 years ago.
