To clear any confusion - I ranked RimWorld as number one for a few reasons, which I should have explained in the video. I would have left Dwarf Fortress as number one if it weren't for the fact that I wanted to inform people who are not familiar with RimWorld about what this game actually is. So I left it as it is, primarily for people who are simply looking for colony sims, not necessarily games like Rim.

I'm very torn between Rimwold and Dwarf Fortress. DF was my real intro to the genre and I don't even know how many hours I've played, it but it's been about 15 years now, so it holds a special place in my heart. Though, I do think Rimworld is the better game, it has more action, the mod community is amazing and it's not as cheeseable as DF. There is no hiding from the threats on the rim. DF always devolves into building a few indestructible drawbridges to keep the world out and then making crazy projects. I still play both of course. Will check out some of the other titles from the video though, there are some interesting stuff there for sure.

Honurable mention from me is Amazing Cultivation Simulator, which on the surface is so similar to Rimworld is looks like a knockoff, but is actually so deeply infused with ancient Chinese spirituality is quickly becomes entirely its own thing.

Guys chill.. what is your problem? ^^ There are still 14 games in this list to check out so what to complain about? :) Is putting Rimworld as best game like rimworld a bit odd.. yes. Still: You got what you came for: A lot of games that might be interesting if you like(d) rimworld. For me: I am checking out norland after watching the video. Thanks for the video!

I wanted to see actual gameplay, got edited cinematics, what a letdown did you even play these? If so then why didn't you use REAL game footage? The only good thing I can say about this is, It's not AI.
