I know the NU25 is the golden love child of ultra lighters to backpackers but super happy I went with the NU35. Dual power, weight is nothing. AND best of all (to me) USB-C so one less different cord that's possibly needed (depending what else ya use I guess).

@@john_kelley thank you buddy yes we did have a nice one. I just basically relax because I have a injured knee , leg , & foot. I have a cast on my knee & a big huge cut on my foot. Family and friends been really taking care of me. They've been teasing me all day long saying I have to take care of " BIGFOOT " because of my foot being extremely wide & having chubby fat wide toe that are equally straight across. I know I'm going to gained my weight back from all this turkey I've been eating today & cannot work it off.

The “hardest to get the hands on” is the only reason it wasn’t on this list. I don’t want to put gear on here that is difficult to get a hold of. That would be awful to do to people. It is one of my favorite pieces of gear, though.

These are all great ideas and for every budget!! Last year, I suggested to my fam. dehydrated veggies for backpacking meals, dr. Bronners, Lenny & Larry cookies and jerky.

You listed some items I have complete faith in and use. I treat my Clothing , Hammock , Ground cloth , Backpack , Hat , Shoes and even my socks with the Sawyers Permethrin. I have ZERO problems with biting insects and especially Ticks. Here in Florida I use it year round and recommend it to everyone I know. The Optimus Crux Stove , It's the one stove I have that's not alcohol or a wood burner. I also use a E-Bike. Mine is the Himiway Cruiser and here in Florida it's ideal. The tires are 26 by 4 which offers the flotation needed for the sand that we have. It's also the 3 different settings ( normal 7 speed peddle , Peddle assist and full throttle ) and I increased the electric setting from 5 to 9 speeds.

A pair of quality hiking socks is always a good stocking stuffer IMO. 👍

Permetherin is significantly cheaper on Amazon than from Sawyer. You can buy a gallon of this stuff for like $40 or so from Amazon and it will last several years. Well over 100 outfits. Or you can pay $10-$15 for Sawyer and get 4 or 5 complete outfits.

Towel tablets, they are fantastic and usually they are given to us in the airplane before we eat. Been using them for years when I travel.

MeThinks I spied an Alpaca Hoody at the very beginning. Had to return mine - very sloppy fit and poor hood. Hopefully cuts will be better as this new tech evolves.

Give out poop shovels to less experienced hikers who don't have one and always borrow yours, they're like sub- 20 bucks and makes LNT practice easier for them

I’m kind of partial to the picaridin spray. I spray it onto my hand then wipe it on. I find it to be a little less greasy than the lotion. Permethrin FTW!!!

I love my waymark mile. I’m using it for my everyday carry bag or go bag. I’m real interested in the waymark thru or lite just not sure which one I want. It the heavy mesh stretchy like the lecra pocket. I can’t decide if I want the two normal pockets or one large pocket and small pocket. Would you recommend both hip pockets and can you ask for extra customizable options. Cause lite AF has a lecra pocket on the bottom of the pack that would be helpful for trash or eyelet on one of the bottle pockets to stuff trash in.

Hello John how you doing? This was a good video on what Christmas gifts to get. Man that was awesome seeing you on the bike man. I haven't been on my bike since early May & I need to get out and go bike riding with my kids. You are looking good man with the weight loss. Keep it up man. I have lost a lot of weight myself. Am at 286 Ibs fun being at 386 Ibs. I'm so happy to be under the 300 lb man 😎. I like your Christmas gift list that was awesome. What I really want for Christmas is a pair of some closed toe shoes to wear all winter instead of flip flop. I am on my way right now to Massachusetts to see if they can make me some special custom-made shoes. This company reached out to me a couple weeks ago & heard that I had very very extremely wide feet that is 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe with very fat wide toes that are straight across that will not fit into a closed toe shoe & flip flops will barely fit on my feet because your toes are wider than the flip-flop strap. This will be a nice Christmas gift for me. I haven't worn a shoe or sock in 35 years now I hope this works for me. Hope you & your family have a good weekend. take it easy buddy.

I am giving myself the mile for Christmas and ordered the lite this week 😁. Unfortunately the Sawyer products are forbidden here. I think those are great products.
