DD Warrior Lady has to be among the best art in terms of lore and story telling. You have the DD world, the inverted shadow, the bionic arm that calls the previous events. And all the details in the posture, the stare that show apprehension yet no fear to battle. And effect stayed great for many years. Truly a card I would love to see get recognized more like with oversized cards, high res artwork and such.

I think that the D/D are the "Different dimension" in the arc v sens in which there are standard, fusion, synchro and xyz "dimensions" whereas D.D. are "Different dimension" in the sens that the banish zone in a different dimension. I remember something mentioned in arc v about the D/D meaning and that the third D in D/D/D is for "Demon".

​@@mohammedhany5640 the cards D/D recruits shows warrior lady and the other D.D being "recruited" by who I assume is the ruler of the different dimension. The D/Ds appear to heavily influence the various worlds around them as the card contract laundering show the king from imperial order seemingly trying to end his pact with the devils, the dark contract with the entities shows older entity Nyalra being recruited as it seems, dark contract with the swamp king shows..well, the swamp king. DD headhunt shows the king of Yamimakai talking to warrior lady and warrior. and by the artwork of pattented dark contract documents, I'm assuming they're pretty much everywhere within the Yugioh world setting.

List idea: top 10 best card pairs that require each other to maximize their usefulness. Example of what i mean: swamp and lava battleguard. Both of them require each other for their effects to make them better. A more modern (and probably a better) example would be the performapals ladyange and gentrude, who shine best when you use both of them together.

@@SystemYTP Many years ago, like before Synchros, I had a friend who made a similar deck. I can only hope the deck improved since then, because it really was amazing.

Shout-out to D.D. Warrior for (context depending) being the lesser but cheaper/lower rarity alternative to D.D. Warrior Lady; definitely a staple in some of the video games.

When I was a kid, I had a Dark Emperor structure deck. Somehow I never thought of buying 1 or 2 more to get additional copies of its best cards, so D.D. Warrior and D.D. Assailant were both just as important as D.D. Warrior Lady. Those three were the holy trinity of "don't ever think that your monsters are safe".

If Return From The Different Dimension wasn't banned it would go ballistic with Red Supernova Dragon and Chaos Ruler

D. D. Survivor is probably one of my favorite cards of all time. Combining not just with Monarchs and such for tribute fodder but also with tuners to pull out staple synchro monsters that aren't hurt by Macro Cosmos/Dimensional Fissure like AoJ Catastor. Made playing the 5D's DS games a whole lot easier.

D.D Crow sometimes situationally better than called by graveyard when going second because you can disrupt your opponent combo, especially now that tearements and spright recently out in TCG which use their graveyards heavily.

Also, Called By The Grave can only banish monsters, not spells and traps. Earlier today in Master Duel, I activated Called forgetting that it can't banish spells from the opponent's grave. D.D. Crow would have saved me there.

D.D Designator seems like the perfect card for thunderdragon deck, even if you are wrong you banish most likely a thunder monster you want banished anyway and if you were right you dont have to fear ash.

I loved banishing cards back in the day during D.A.D. strategies that I used DDR, Escape from a Dark Dimension, Fusture Fusion, Dragon’s Mirror, and Return from a Different Dimension to abuse Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to get high ATK Dragons out ASAP to OTK my opponents. Fun but weak to Mirror Force, lol.

D.D cards are probably the cards which I think have some of the coolest art and lore. Like D.D Designator or Return from a different Dimension have incredibly cool art. And the banished zone as a post-apocalyptic wasteland: Just yes.

This is a very creative Top 10. I like it.

Oh yes I love DD Survivor and macro cosmos, and of course - macro monarch d.d.

D.D. Scout Plane is also a great card, similar to D.D. Survivor, but without it having to be face up on the field. Loved to go into Rank 2 XYZs with it. Works well with Necroface for example.

This literally had me beyond excited. I love the D.D. Archetype to the point I still want to make a actual D.D deck that is meta.

Man, seeing Return from the Different Dimension takes me back. I ran that card at 3 in my VWXYZ deck and was the lynch pin of the whole stratagy.

Let's be honest number 1 was incredibly obvious this time. Good, old, humble D.D. Crow. I generally favor Dimension Shifter over it in the TCG, but goddamn this little bird is powerful when it is aimed at the right card. Also, it's literally the only good handtrap available in Duel Links.

I never see anyone use it in Duel Links, probably because you just don't have as many cards to be able to afford it. One of these birdies would completely crumble the Electromagnets I've been using lately, but it hasn't come up once.

The only reason I feel return is a better card is because it can't come off the banned list while the game is in anywhere near a healthy state. Return is a scary card, and I played when it was legal.

Man, this takes me back. My first ever YGO deck was the Dark Emperor structure deck, and the D.D. cards were its bread and butter.

IMO Different Dimension Derby deserves to be on this list. Being able to banish anything at any time with the right deck is so useful!

I link Survivor and scout plane to code talkers, sometimes up to three times. Thanx for doing a video on my favourite archetype!

I love D.D. and have the lovely memory of playing in my locals for the first time, using a just opened Caius structure deck and getting first place somehow. I did leave D.D. when the banlist made Macro/Fissure less consistent, but for some years after changing decks, there was one D.D. card I consistently kept in my side deck for great use, Crevice Into The Different Dimension.

D.D. Survivor is bloody cool. It looks like a cybernetic warrior saint, and it has a perennially good effect, useful all the way back in a DS game I used to play, World Championship '07. I can't find the video anymore, but when I first became aware of a sequel in the 5D's era, the footage featured a DD Survivor deck vs. some bloke or other with a haunting track setting the tone for a lategame antagonist. Badass.

Me as soon as I clicked on the video. “God I hope D.D. Crow is #1. Love that card”

I loved back in the day using D.D. cards, and saw it hit its peak back in the day with Monarchs. I'm sure it's better now, I don't really know. Loved my friends burn D.D. deck and I just always found quick removal fun.

D.d.designator vs gadgets. Also there were things like confiscation where you looked at their hand and had discard effects. I made a deck where I knew everything my opponent had and turned off most of their cards and left anything usless against me. It was really fun but needed alot of memory concentration

When it comes to return from a D.D. Kaiba literally explains it best.

Note about Infernoids: the level 1-4 (Pirmais, Antra, Harmadik, and Patrulea) can only be summoned from the hand; the higher level ones can be summoned from the graveyard, though.

Nice list. Use to have a friend that made a deck that just non stop banish cards from anywhere. Btw can you please make a list of worst and best warrior type monsters

D.D. have been always one of my favourite cards, many of those cards have solid effects, by example D.D.R. used to be importante part of that Dark Synchron deck wich could make your oponent's entre hand get banished. I was expecting Dimension Fusion for a sec to be the #1, but then I recall isnt an actual D.D. (even tho we know it is at the same time) Hopefully one day D.D. will get a solid strategy to make many of these cards able to be played together :D

I’ve always wanted D.D. To become their own proper archetype. All centered around being banished lol, I was also thinking how monsters banish themselves in the GY to active an effect and what if D.D. Did the reverse and paid cost while in the banish zone by “returning” themselves to the GY

Back in the day I would combine Return from the different dimension with inferno tempest in order to swamp my board with beat sticks to overwhelm my opponent. The tricky part was getting inferno tempest to work considering the limited card pool I was working with at the time

Would love a specific D.D or D.D. Warrior Lady archetype rework would be really cool.

D.D crow is also really good in Lyrilusc decks cuz it's searchable.

D.D Survivor was the key part of the best prog deck me and a bunch of other people were doing for a while "Macro Monarch" like to the point where people wanted to ban it along with Di-fi and Marco

Burial was brutal in the md days paired with any dragon archetype decks as rulers were staples in all dragon decks. My favorite was ruler hieratic with a sacred sword and upstart engine and reckless greed

Top 10 best Trap cards to copy with Junk Collector

I really liked D.D cards back in the day cuz they had a really cool theme

The cool thing about Burial is that since it returns monsters to the GY you can use it on monsters that have "... except the turn this card was sent to the GY" effects, which most of the time are very powerful, and use those effects in the same turn.

Burial from a Different Dimension also is able to return your opponent's banished monsters to the Graveyard, so if they have something that they _want_ banished or that has been banished temporarily, you can ruin that for them. Not worth running the card just for that purpose, but it's an option that's there if you happen to need it. "Infernoble Knight Renaud" Hey, my boy Rinaldo! Not my favourite Paladin, but I sure didn't expect Infernoble Knights to get mentioned at all.

List of ideas : Top 10 Fusion monsters that states specific Fusion materials (Examples : ABC Dragon Buster, Rainbow Neos,...) Failed cards and mechanics : the synchro Fusion series (Example Dracoequiste, Ultimate Axxon Kicker, Arcanite magician the supreme wizard,...)

list idea: 10 best cards that are part of an archetype only because they are specifically listed in card text/effect i.e. summoned skull being an archfiend

I absolutely love burial from a different dimension no card has made my opponent saltier than it triple mizuki again usually at least one extra time for 80% of your duels. I can't wait to see what else there is higher than this cuz that last spell I definitely want it for my sheeranuis just as like tech bare minimum

Fortunately, Dimension Fusion is not considered a D.D. card (although it shows Warrior Lady and Warrior), othewise it would've beaten out the entire list, because it's basically a Soul Charge from the banish pile without the battle phase restriction.

I like to use burial from the different dimension in magnet warriors in duel links. Allows for 3 more destructions from beserkion or for recursion if beserkions re-summon effect doesn't trigger. Also allows for block dragon shenanigans

I have some list suggestions of you don't mind: Best Story cards part 2 Top 10 cards that show actual cards Top 10 cards that aren't in Master Duel Top 10 stall cards. Top 10 generic pendulum cards. Top 10 parody cards. (Like how Weed Out parodies Return from the Different Dimension.) Top 10 special conditions in the games. More Rescue Rabbit, please.

An additional caveat to DD Crow: It was usually a popular side deck option, but during the Tier 0 era of DAD, you could also main deck a crow or 2, simply to win the eventual race for who gets DAD out first. All because it's a +dark monster on demand for you in the grave, while also -dark for your opponent. Or simply additional fuel to pop more cards with DAD when need be.

D.D. Crow is used quiet often against my dinos to banish Miscellaneousaurs. I hate it, but its kinda cool that it was one of the original hand traps, like Kuriboh, but still sees play in the modern game

My favorite part of Macro Cosmos and similar omni-banishing effects is that when paired with Gravekeeper's Servant your opponent can't attack at all.

Burial from a Different Dimension is a free King Of The Skull Servants with at least 3000 ATK points. Love that card.

With a little more support, direction and maybe a few retrains, D. D. would make a good Archetype, but I think they make an interesting concept for a storyline of warriors who are battling across the multiverse

I know it's not good, but an honorable mention I would like to add is Different Dimension Dragon, simple because it's awesome (also, sans non-destruction revival, if you equip it with Heart of Clear Water, it becomes very hard to get rid of).

When I was introduced to Yu-Gi-Oh! however long ago that was, I was introduced through a D.D. deck.

Whether it's for protection against cards that discard cards from your hand (Duo, Don Zaloog, etc), cards that discard as cost (Raigeki Break, Abyss Soldier, Tribe Infecting Virus, Graceful Charity, etc), and more (Metamorphosis + TER, Creature Swap, flip monster removal decoy) I bring this up since I'm surprised Exiled Force was mentioned instead of Serpent.

D.D. Dynamite was why I switched to playing Domain Monarchs. Can't banish what I don't have.

I have no idea if this is a good card or not but I like to use drop off it's effect is that when my opponent draws for their normal draw phase I can make them discard the card they drew with much less of a hand to work with they will have a harder time removing my timelord cards from the field via banish or negate also I'm looking for a trap or spell good for negating other than lost wind

It's also worthwhile to note that Burial from a Different Dimension can return 1 or more of your opponent's banished monsters to the graveyard combined with your own. This has use in both making spot banishes you've made with things like Zeke and the Psy-Framelords more permanent removals, or for interrupting the recursion of banished monsters in decks like Flooandereeze, Weather Painters and Orcust. Though there's actually a Quick Play Pot card that does that better by both returning the three targeted monsters to the deck and giving you a card, Pot of Acquisitiveness, essentially powercreeping that card for the most part, which also would have been worth a mention for having such a similar effect. In fact, both of them being Quick Plays mean you can actually use one to disrupt the other.

Designator can be used in Floowandereeze decks to great success turn one though slow if a Floowandereeze monster gets popped if you miss the designation and gets banished summoning a single Floowandereeze monster gets that monster back and ready for plays only downside is if you have other cards in hand they get targeted for Designator's effect.

I'm kind of surprised you didn't mention appointer of the red lotus on the part about D.D. Designator

Fun fact: the undead person in the artwork D.D.R, Premature Burial and Overdone Burial is Seto Kaiba. Different Dimension Ground sure is quite versatile. It can counter decks like Lightsworn, Sylvan and Shaddoll Request: Top 10 monsters that both good on the field and when it leaves the field

@@ashblossomandjoyoussprung.9917 This is actually only theory but it's quite accurate because judging from hairstyle and the face, it resembles Seto a lot and the creepy expression probably is taken from where he was defeated by Yugi using exodia or since he is depicted as zombie in this artwork, so it's not really strange to have that kind of face. I knew this from one of yugitubers. But he is Asian yugituber so if you were native English speaker, probably you won't understand what he explained and all of his contents, none of them are English also I, myself is the same nationality as him.

Isnt Dimension Fusion also qualified for the list? As I know that card has also some connection to the D.D story line or has something in common with them.

In some older video games, DD Burial was extremely OP because the game didn't make a difference between "return" and "send", allowing you to double up on a lot of great effects. Especially hilarious if you have a card like Macrocosmos on the field, which normally won't trigger against Burial. But if the game isn't coded properly, cards like Necroface just dip in and out, while triggering their effect on removal.

I am quite interested on how the D.D. dimension connected to the Macro Cosmos realm...both are statused as "banish zone", but, are they different from each other?

have you done a top 10 cards to use trap trick for?

I feel like I've asked this question before so sorry if I have, but this video makes me wonder about how good or bad Soul Release is. I never really hear mention of the card so I'm assuming its not meta, but it seems like such a good option for how important the graveyard is. I get that its a normal spell card so it only works your own turn, but is that really detrimental enough to keep it from competitive play, or other cards just make it irrelevant, like D.D. Crow?

The issue isn't just that you can only use it on your turn (and thus it isn't usable as interruption), but also the fact that it is a complete brick if you open with the card turn 1, since your opponent won't have cards in their GY that you want to banish. It's a card that could maybe work if there's ever a strategy that has an easy time getting cards into the GY, and then generates advantage by having those cards banished (though usually such a deck would have an inherent way of banishing cards), so you could use it as a combo piece that occasionally ruins your opponent's GY, but in the current game, there is not really anything useful about being only able to banish cards on your turn.

I remember using it in the old videogames to go with Gren Maju, and D.D. Dynamite. If it took me a few turns to draw Macro Cosmos or Banisher of the Light/Radiance, Soul Release would clear up the cards than managed to hit the grave before I got the floodgate up.

I had a friend with a LP boost strategy. He’d usually have like 20000 points. But I used to run Burial From A Different Dimension in my deck. Once actually managed to pull of summoning Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon with Dragons Mirror, tributing it for Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. Entered battle phase, used Burial to return the Blue-Eyes x 3 to my graveyard for a 900 attack increase. Flipped Spiritual Light Art Hijiri, to sacrifice Shining Dragon for my banished Ultimate Dragon, attacked again, then used de-fusion to summon Blue-Eyes White x 3 in battle phase. That card was the difference maker

I prefer scout over survivor, only because survivor has to be face up in order to activate, whereas scout can activate from literally anywhere. Its a pretty decent resource loop I use in mutants, either to summon out beast or to pay for the level 8 effects without losing board presence. As for list ideas, what about cards that actively work against the archetype they are supposed to help. For example vampire hunter.

How about "top 10 cards that were originally released as promos" (so stuff that you originally could only get from buying a particular video game or was a Shonen Jump promo)

Is Crossout designator a combination of Nobleman of Crossout and D.D. Designator? I felt such Crossout designator vibes when logs was explaining dd designators use Edit: lol nevermind, it surely is. The art is pretty much the same thing between crossout and dd designator
