Honestly, I do kinda want to read some of his stuff, just to see if I agree with everything I’ve heard

Great list, i love just doing it alphabetical rather than trying to order the top 10, i always struggle with that! The only star wars book ive read is Heir to the Emperor, Ill need to check out Traitor, what books would you consider essential reading leading up to it? The Fisherman makes my top 10 horror for sure, i think it may make my top 10 as well! Such a beautiful book. Great video!

Well, Traitor is book 13 in the 19 book series New Jedi Order, so it’s safe to say you’d have a lot of reading to do to catch up to it! That said, it’s an excellent series, so I’d highly recommend working your way through it once you’ve read some other Legends books

@@caleblikesbooks Well, I am a Warhammer/Horus Heresy reader, so I'm not unaccustomed to reading these huge series's :D. I'll have a look and try to pick up the first few next time I see them! Thanks!

It helps that they’re pretty quick reads. Most of them are relatively short, since there are a lot of duologies within the series that are only around 300 pages or less per book I gotta check out Warhammer books sometime. I don’t know much about that setting but it seems very cool!

The Hobbit is great, and I enjoyed The Giver back when I read it in school. Should read it again someday Need to read Hunger Games and Red Rising someday. I’ve heard great things about both!

@@caleblikesbooks The Giver had a long lasting effect on me as a reader, we read it in 7th grade and it was the first time i've ever had an entire class of students really critically engage in a book and it felt pretty insane and got me deeper into reading at the time. Red Rising had me in an absolute choke hold. Hunger Games is just a good read imo- not written the best but I couldn't put it down for the life of me.

Lorna is one of my favorites! I’ve heard many great things about a few of those books, like Abercrombie and Lonesome Dove. Need to read more Wheel of Time and Malazan, I enjoyed what little of those I’ve gone through so far

Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time (probably Lord of Chaos if I were to pick a single book), Earthsea Words of Radiance (I prefer it over Oathbringer, personally) A Man of His Word The Riftwar Saga Game of Thrones The Winter of the World Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn Faith of the Fallen - more or less in this order. I think :)

16:38 downside is it’s too long, he drags it all out, this book could be 600-800 pages long tops!

I get that, Stormlight does have some hefty books. Personally I like the length though, it really lets him fit in more character development and worldbuilding which I love
