    One of, if not THE best B-rolls of board gaming videos. I absolutely admire all the effort you've put into these, Shaggy (all 50 with your own B-rolls whaaat?!). I've watched a ton of your videos and am impressed by all of them! The little cuts to slow-mo pan across the placement bits..the superb immersive background audio (love the one used in the sleeping gods playthrough especially!) plus your soothing voice. Love the way you phrase your sentences, guess it's an occupational hazard? Hehehe. Please continue to deliver such amazing content it's always such a joy to watch. Hope it's possible to do a Dungeon Petz playthough one day, I'd love to see your take on it :D (hopefully a solo variant ;))

    I really appreciate those compliments, Andrea. I don't feel as if I fully deserve all that praise, but I'm happy you feel that way and enjoy my videos. I definitely put my all into the channel. Is there a fan made solo variant for Dungeon Petz? I've not heard of it. I would love to figure out a way to do the occasional playthrough of a multiplayer game, possibly playing multiple sides, but for now I'm focusing on solo play. Thank you so much for your support, Andrea! Have a great day!

    @TotallyTabled super late to this, but I just finished watching this video and was scrolling thru the comments. I just wanted to add a huge +1 to everything Andrea said. I really enjoy your channel more than any other content creator out there. You make me want to buy every board game you cover😂. The aesthetics of your video, your voice, the way you explain things, it's really amazing work. I'm so happy I found your channel because I'm growing in the hobby and still figuring out my taste and I'm learning that I really align with the games you like. Anyway thanks for being awesome!

It makes it easier to cut through all the noise and discover the games you will enjoy. • @TotallyTabled

    @TotallyTabled

    You are right, Michael. It can be tense. The more ambitious you try to be, the more tense it gets. There is a bit of push your luck -- how many petz can you care for at once? How careful do you want to be, getting potions, holding back workers to deal with potential play and anger needs? I tend to play fairly conservative, so I usually don't have that much stress, but it is reflected in my low scores. :) Thanks for watching, Michael!

    I'm glad you enjoyed them, Giannis! I feel fortunate I took a chance on Doomtown Reloaded when it released, as everyone was saying it was inferior to Netrunner. Netrunner left me a bit cold, but Doomtown excited me right out of the gate. It is the only competitive expandable card game I invest in. • @TotallyTabled

    @TotallyTabled

    Жыл бұрын

    I'm in the minority opinion on Netrunner. Great game, of course, but the theme really didn't come through for me. It felt very abstract and the gameplay felt extremely linear. Then I played Doomtown and it was thematic, cinematic, with ups and downs, swings of fortune and major surprises. I built my Four Horsemen of the Flame-pocalypse deck and never looked back. :) Yeah, I haven't researched the new base set too closely, so I don't know all the changes, but I was part of the crowdfunding and I think it delivers soon. Of Robinson Crusoe? I haven't seen it in person, but it seems like a straight upgrade from the first. Not too different. A collectors edition is coming soon that looks extremely deluxe. It was Kickstarted, so I'm not sure what is coming to retail, if anything, or what might be exclusive. The second edition might get cheaper, or people will be selling their copy, so you might be be able to get a deal - especially with Black Friday coming.

  • @TotallyTabled

    @TotallyTabled

    Yep, you have pointed out my great shame, Naniguitar! :) I'm kidding, but Mage Knight is one of those massive blind spots that I am going to fix soon. Long story short, I've played a few times but not enough to include it on a list. I tend towards simpler solos, especially in the past and I struggled to get into Mage Knight at first despite seeing its brilliance. Needless to say, Mage Knight is hitting the table again soon, but I couldn't make it happen before making this list. Too Many Bones is a similar story. Brass is great, but I also haven't played enough. Same for War of the Ring and TI4. I feel like these games require many plays before they can be judged fairly, so I leave them off the list. But all of these are great games. Thanks for watching!

It's a masterpiece for sure but I'm content with getting beat by the AI on my phone or PC. Oh, and I'm in the love Galaxy Trucker group. I totally get that, Charlie. TTA is the best app I've ever played and Galaxy Trucker might be number two. They did a fantastic job and, while in person is more fun, the app is so quick and easy. So I get it. But I have no memory of past digital games of TTA, but many memories of in person TTA. That said, I have probably played TTA three times for often digitally than in person. I guess it is great to have both as an option. Thanks so much for watching Charlie!

    amazing list! Really got shocked with #1. I'd bet Robinson Crusoe would be at that spot! Anyways, have you voted for the top 200 solo games of all time on BGG?

  • @TotallyTabled

    It is very close. Maybe the collector's edition will push it over the edge. I like to think of it as number one when I want to play solo or co-op, and Through the Ages is number one when I want multiplayer or to play on the app! I have not voted in the top 200 solo games, but I really should if it isn't too late. Thanks for the reminder and thanks for watching, Lucas!

    @@TotallyTabled yeah that's pretty close! It surprised me because Idk if you have already talked about TTA on your channel! I wanted to like TTA more, but learning from an APP isn't my thing. I can't see everything that's going on on the screen. It would work better if I'd play the physical version, but since it doesn't have solo mode, no way then 🤣. At least it's a vlaada game!! Well actually votes are closed, but right now they're listing the voted games on a ranking and soon they'll reveal the top 10. If you haven't you should check that list on BGG, it's supported by 1player guild and it happens once per year around October. This is the 9th year. It's pretty well done and people are very dedicated to making this list! I'm sure you'll find interesting games there

    TTA is also on Board Game Arena with a slightly less flashy presentation, but possibly more user friendly. Of course you have to play against real people, who tend to be very good. And I've definitely checked out the Top 200 solo list before. It is awesome. Such a valuable resource. And it is always interesting to see which games are hot in the community. Thanks Lucas!

    It is fairly rules heavy, Baptiste, so you have to get through the learning curve. But if you watch my playthrough, and Rodney Smith has a nice how to play video, you should be set. Follow my beginners advice that I lay out in my playthrough and be prepared to lose for a while. I'm not doing a great job of selling it, but it is a fantastic co-op! Thanks for watching!

    Hey Shaggy! How about a two player playthrough of Doomtown Reloaded on your channel? This game deserves some more lovin?

  • @TotallyTabled

    @TotallyTabled

    I totally agree Doomtown deserves more attention. The new base box Doomtown Weird West Edition has solo rules that I've read but not tried. Just running through it two handed might be a better way to go, as it really shines as a two-player game. I want to do a comprehensive look at everything associated with the game, the card pool, the online resources, the deck construction, the rules, etc. It is a big video. I have a couple big videos coming out over the next two months, so after that I plan to tackle Doomtown. Eventually I want to do a video for every game in my top 10 and I would love to expose more people to Doomtown. Thanks!

    Robinson Crusoe was the 2nd board game I bought (yea I am not that long into board games). The first one was Fallout, base game, which left me disappointed... Then I got Robinson Crusoe, with its MASSIVE rule book, so it took a while to learn it. But man I love it! I also got the expansions, which give it an extra boost, if you will
