Longer, some like my Sofrin lasts 2 hours at 16,000 lumens (flood) with 4x 21700 batteries that can easily be swapped out as needed.

@@Erin-Thor Yes and when they get hot they step down in brightness. I haven't seen any that will maintain 16k lumens for hours.

@@robertjohnston8531 - It might, don’t know. I know I’ve used mine for about 2 hours camping/hiking (rated 2.5 hours on turbo) and never noticed any step down, the Sofirin Q8 Plus is rated for 2.5 hours. The only thing I’ve noticed is when the batteries drop to about 3 volts (rated 3.9, charge to 4.2v) you start having flakey operation, some modes will not function until you recharge. And again, they make models with fans, and even those like mine, I just bring a baggie of charged 21700 & 18750 batteries when camping to swap out as needed. The Q8 plus will last all week camping, using it during the evenings, and all night in moonlight or candlelight modes as a nightlight. I’m not trying to argue, just saying I’m sure you’re right, I’ve seen comparison tests where many models do ramp down because of heat or battery level, but from my own experience not all do.
