There is an Enclave Checkpoint now next to Dunwich Borer after the new update. They actually fire FIRE NAPALM if they spotted you and that Napalm shooter can shoot so far that you can still get hit when you are almost at the bottom of the pit.

I got their napalm shooters and power armors by bringing them all the way back to the Gunner's Car disposal (the one where you can get a fatman and heavy combat armor) and then hid nearby. Was thinking about joining the fight until I saw one Enclave soldier eat up 2 mini nukes to the face like it was his fucking lunch.

Think what i like best about kremvh's tooth is that the legendary effect is a modification for the machete (sacrificial blade), so you can take it off, and then put it on another legendary machete. ta-da! a legendary machete with 2 legendary prefixes. makes for some VERY wicked combos!

For the Big Boy: once you complete the “Cappy in a Haystack” quest in the Nuka world DLC, you will have access to the Nuka Nuke launcher. You can turn it into a standard Fatman at a weapons workbench and apply the Quantum mod onto the big boy, making it a two shot Nuka Nuke launcher!

For legendary farming, there's a place in Concord Sewers where a Legendary Radroach frequently spawns. If you're very low level, there aren't many types of weapons it can drop, so the odds of getting a Pipe Pistol/Rifle with a legendary affix is quite decent. Using the technique you described, you can farm this legendary radroach for one with Kneecapper, Explosive, or Bleeding depending on your preference. You can do this before you even talk to Preston and face off against the Deathclaw, giving you a good weapon to use against it.

Also upstairs in hubris comics a legendary roach spawns. I got a pipe rifle that adds 15 energy damage and has a chance to turn enemies to goo. I put a full auto receiver and drum mag on it and renamed it "puddle maker"

Yeah I sometimes try and get an explosive double barrel shotgun in those sewers

For early game Legendary farming, I like to use either the Super-Duper Mart, or Plumber's Cache. Plumber's Cache opens into a warehouse with 2 Radroaches, with a pretty decent chance of being legendary. Less than a minute reload at a time. Super-Duper Mart is insane, though, because if you enter through the shipping bay, the Feral Ghoul near the Fusion Core and the Feral Ghoul who comes in through the window of the breakroom both seem to have an increased chance of being legendary. It's not uncommon to have both of them be legendary, which doubles your chance to get the specific item you want. It's where I farmed for the NE Double-Barrel, myself.

My favorite legendary gun I ever got was a 10 mil pistol that happened to drop in the wild that had explosive rounds, I turned that bad boy into a machine pistol and it shreds

Dumbest thing about that is you can get that as a drop as soon as you hit level 10 to start encountering legendary enemies. I seem to find one early every playthrough. You don't even need to perk into pistol damage, the explosive damage alone is enough to just blow things to shreds.

​@davidyoung3543 just got it, its been glued onto my hands ever since. Though I now have to think about when I'm firing since my ammo econs low atm. Makes you tunnel abit since everything just explodes, even gangster hip fire mode.

There's a really good early farm spot down the road a block or so to the left of the Museum of Freedom, behind the blue capsule and bench area. 3 radroaches to the left down the stairs when you walk in, and great for farming something like a 10mm or double-barrel in the level 1-10 range. Legendary drop table depends on player level, and there are 38(?) possible legendary effects for ballistic weapons. GLHF

Never Ending is great on a shotgun but people sleep on explosive. Even without perks a shotgun shell releases 8 pellets. Each one of those pellets becomes explosive. So if your gun has a 40 base damage, it now does 55 damage per pellet, which with lroper perks can easiky get up to 2000 if you hit the enemy with every pellet.

I have a Bleeding Combat Shotgun I got in my most recent playthrough and it's incredibly strong for this exact reason. Thing about bleed damage is nothing resists any part of its damage. I dropped the Mirelurk Queen at The Castle in about 3 shots and then just waited for it to die.

An explosive combat shotgun is insane in terms of damage no matter how far in the game you are. Combine it with Rifleman even before thinking in Demolitionist and enjoy

Explosive is great, but if anything gets up close and personal the splash damage will kill you. Bleeding is much safer.

Kiloton Radium Rifle which can also be gotten early with a bit of running (Far Harbor DLC) and then just sleep 48 hours to get mods from other weapons he sells. It uses the same ammo as the overseers guardian w/o the accuracy loss and with the right perks you can buff all 3 dmg types from the rifle.

Yooo I can’t even begin to describe how odd this is. I went out for a smoke after killing some legendaries over in south Boston, and I gotten a violent radium rifle to drop that has +25% limb damage. Nothing near as awesome as many I’ve seen on KZread or even found myself but it was just the strangest thing. Not 10 minutes after sitting back down and getting only 5 mins in the video after having read your comment. You willed it for me man! Cheers 😅😂 For anyone maybe wanting something similar, I’m lvl 26 and it was from a legendary super mutant in the Boston library event after grabbing the intellect bobble head! 👌 One more addition, I didn’t know I could get those to drop until getting over to Far Harbor? I’m just passed the part in the story where (spoilers for anyone who is new like me and never knew the ending till recently) I killed the guy that took the boy. Taking it mighty slow and I can’t get enough!

The thumbnail for this video made me realize, for the first time ever in a decade of playing, we cant akimbo and I suddenly would really like to.. dual weild would be so fun, even just pistols and melee but omg

You were right about the skeleton next to The Gainer being bloodied in the past. After watching this video, i looked up old videos on how to find it, and all the ones that are from around the time the game originally came out show that it was in fact covered in blood.

One cool fact about the kremvhs tooth is that you can take the blade which does the poison damage and put it onto any other legendary machete to stack the legendary effects. I put it onto an irradiated machete so it did bleeding, poison and radiation damage. Not sure if anyone else has done something similar

If you are playing a melee vats heavy build the Rockville Slugger is fantastic. Paired with Grognak’s outfit and the solar powered perk it’s almost too good. You get it from the baseball guy at Diamond City

There is a little like pathway thing carved into the rock to the side of the Dunwich Borers, I think next to some big digging equipment. There are some radiation barrels and some other stuff down there, that's where the death claw came from. I went down and ran into the thing and was so surprised.

Great video. Big Jim and vendor legendary items are the only examples I can think of that exist at level one. There are also reward legendary items like Righteousness Authority that are available early, but for the majority of legendary items, you must be at level six or higher. You are correct that combat shotguns aren’t available early. Unpatched games had them appear as early as level fourteen by dogs and molerats (“The Cave” where the alien is later found was a common place), but it was assigned to tougher enemies at higher levels after the patches started nurfing everything. Some farming areas can cap out power armor spawn sites in the area. An example is the National Guard training yard. Going there at level six does generate low level ghouls and legendary items, but the full power armor suit gets locked to T-45 instead of its potential T-51 at level 14, T-60 at level 21, and X-01 at level 28. Since there are few X-01 capable sites, I avoid those area until the sites have capped out. It’s why players wonder why they only find T-45 armor everywhere. I hunt legendaries and have never completed fallout 4. So, I have found and tried most of the sites that can be spammed with save-reloads for specific legendary items. It’s not just dungeons, it can be done in the wastelands also, but requires specific timing and locations. Anywhere you change from one load cell to another has the possibility of loot-locking a legendary item., including crossing invisible map boarders. You can detect these borders in save files as it will have name components like “The Fens”, “Back Bay”, “South Boston”, etc. An example would be to use a triggered event to loot-lock a random legendary. Triggered events are when enemies suddenly appear in an area you are walking through. A spot on the road acts like a tripwire to generate the encounter. In some instances it is an abandoned campsite that is triggered by opening a container. Those I avoid triggering either a Raider ambush or Ghoul ambush until level twenty-one when higher level enemies can appear with miniguns, missile launchers, etc.

I got an Explosive .44 Revolver. Absolutely love that damn thing. Gave it the Nuka-World Bladed Bull Barrel, and it’s so bad ass. I call it Punisher. Another favorite is a Freezing Shishkabab.

i benched my spray and pray after getting my hands on a 10mm explosive pistol. it does more damage per hit but of course has less ammo capacity. the tesla cannon i don't like as much. seems pretty weak but it does fire very quickly

As someone who loves the spray and pray, quick bursts to the legs are always good, then you could finish off whatever enemy with a different weapon if your low on 45 ammo

It goes through .45 ammo way to fast . I have the +25 bleed damage on a Combat rifle that is two to three shots that take out the super mutant five or six on the leader.

4:25 with the Captain Cosmos creation, the studio in Hub 360 spawns either 2 or three legendary enemies. I got an explosive 10mm, a never-ending double-barrel, and a kneecapper pipe gun in one run.

That crippled death law got me laughing too loud hahahahhaha

First legendary that dropped on my 2nd playthrough was a kneecapping pipe rifle. Modded to Auto it made every melee enemy in the game trivial, even deathclaws. I was still carrying it at lvl 75 due to low weight and the absurd effect.

You really shouldn't be rolling a combat shotgun for never-ending. Explosive combat shotgun is probably the strongest weapon in the game, followed by wounding. I think it is better overall than the exploding minigun and instigating gauss rifle, and can be farmed at the military base at level 20 ish

7:23 so I did find this and I had a bleeding machete before finding this, bcuz you can take the blade off and put it on another machete I basically had a high bleeding and poisoning machete that basically with one hit took almost 2/3 or 3/4 of an enemies health. This is a highly underrated thing bcuz with multiple other effects for machetes you can make an ugly but effective melee weapon.

Bro I’ve been rocking that 10mm pistol since the start. And with the gunslinger perk it’s a beast. 10 rounds your putting down death claws

I once had a staggering combat shotgun, from a random legendary raider, it could stun lock ANY enemy in the game. As long as I had the ammo for it. Only heavily armoured enemies it struggled with, as it just took so much more ammo for it. But it was really fun seeing big deathclaws reduced to effectively sitting ducks. XD

Lorenzo's Artifact is also a good weapon, just like Kremvhs Tooth the mod can be removed and applied to a legendary version of the weapon. Back on ps4 i was graced with a never ending gamma gun and it was ridiculously fun to blast enemies into orbit, only downside was the ammo type.

Was able to get full set of the new Enclave power armour especially the Hellfire MK IV at only Lvl 9. You can get two of their sets if you do the *Missing Caravan* side quests (where you follow blood spatters on the side of the bridge where the Enclave patrols will ambush you)

Another great farming method for the mid to late game is after bringing Kasumi home, quick save before opening her dad’s treasure chest to get a random legendary weapon every time. I got an explosive combat shotgun after about 10 minutes

My FAVORITE weapon I got early on (around level 20) was a random exploding shotgun off of a legendary feral ghoul. That gun still carries me.

The best pistol in the game is the western revolver from nuka world. Fully perked out and decked parts makes it do 301 damage per shot. With my build that would mean around 700-800 crit damage

The Overeer's Guardian is the best .38 calibre option. You get a ton of the ammo. This is pretty much the best weapon to use it with. For 10 mm the Wastelander's Friend is your best bet. Good list with the Caveat you might want to get a high Cha. Of course you can just wear the right clothes and take Grape Mentats.

There's also an enclave camp in the northwest area you can get a Tesla cannon, I have two, one I modified and a regular I gave to Nick, I have a wounding combat shotgun that's pretty op as well

I’m using a heavily modded Kiloton rifle, has a strong radio active AOE on it.

I found an explosive combat shotgun in far harbor on a random legendary ghoul in the hotel above the vault with robo-brains, it's probably my favorite weapon takes most enimies out with 1 shot all you have to do is hit near them most of the time (since the spread from the shotguns each hit is an explosion) but also have max rifle & explosive perks (since it counts as a rifle) only really legendries take a few shots Another one I like is my two-shot laser rifle (have beam splitter on it, so normally it's 5 beams, but with two shot it's 10 beams) also Railway rifles are just fun to use 1 for nailing parts to walls 2 for the reload sound

I had ni idea that the “Spray and Pray” benefits from the demolition perk! This is gonna be good! 😎

Wild Westerner build, Road Leathers, the .44 you can find around the pond near Sanctuary, a double barrel (Legendary with explosive), while having most of the leather armor... its fairly fun and with a legendary unyeilding chest piece it makes the game pretty fun when you get to low health... Life Giver also is a big boon...

Can I still do the legendary farm (4:18 in the vid) if I already killed everyone there an hour ago? I mean do they respawn or did I fuck this up?

Currently my favourite is the saw blade launcher given us in the new free dlc. Before and for most playthroughs, its the 44 Magnum pimped out and with tge right perks its giving me around 150 damage each shot.

I've seen the case made that the very easy to get at level 1 pipe rifle with knee-capper effect, automatic receiver, and drum magazine can take out any enemy in the game. I've never seen Swan taken out as easy as this weapon did.

I still think the two shot .45 is one of the best execution weapons when paired with any of the three passify perks.

Two shot radium rules I used Maxwell from creation club it suppressed early I used those too guns to tear anything up

Oh the +25 bleed damage Combat rifle is nice too . They take a second to die after you hit them

The most straight-up broken weapon I've found is -- a wounding pipe pistol. The wounding effect causes the target to bleed for 25 damage. This damage stacks. This damage is NOT mitigated by anything in the game (no resistances like energy, ballistics, etc.). I modded it to have the largest ammo capacity for the weapon - 48 - and this thing CHEWED through all enemies. Bonus is that the .38 ammo is cheap and plentiful. :D

The quest reward chest for far harbour DLC always contain a legendary weapon. One could argue if saved right before opening the chest… 😊

10mm kneecapper pistol is OP and can be farmed with the legendary method mentioned. Easy ammo is why i use a 10mm or pipe pistol

I randomly came across a combat shotgun with explosive rounds, the effect was applied to each pellet out of the shot so it hit for massive damage and would make easy work of everything, if you shot at a deathclaws feet it would instantly cripple it making them super easy to deal with. I haven't found it again since but you can use console commands to spawn in one and then apply the mod to it 😜

For me a Deathclaw came running over and attacked the guy with the Tesla Canon. So I started chipping it down more while it killed the Tesla guy and then once he was dead I kited the Deathclaw around the wreck, looted the canon, then usef it finished off the Deathclaw.

Another gun the new update gave us is absolutely crazy: if you do the When Pigs Fly quest, you'll get the Piggy Bank launcher and all that, but if you make sure to keep the vendor alive, he'll reward you with a Penetrating Chinese Grenade Rifle. Thing will annihilate just about any enemy no matter your build. The only downside is the ammo can't be looted, you have to buy each round after you first get it.

i wonder if at high level you can get tesla canons to drop out of enemies, who knows, a legendary tesla canon seems like fun

be careful with the Tesla Cannon, as sometimes you can get jumped by the Enclave. Their groups always have a guy in Hellfire armor, who are always a pain to take down.

Quad Launcher with +25% damage for the lols. Spray N Prey is fun. Anything will exploding bullets is fun.

I found a pipe pistol with the wounding effect from a legendary mob. Customized the pipe pistol with an automatic receiver and now this thing has an insane single target dps since the bleeding effect stacks. It uses .38 caliber, not the highest damaging bullet but plentyful. Love this weapon against high HP mobs.

Better yet, a great technique used by MATN is to shoot a victim with several rounds and then target them in VATS afterwards, they slow down but the wounding doesn’t and they die in a fraction of a second with fewer hits. He made a double-barreled shotgun effective with that technique.

Ya know I played this for like 600 hours when it first came out. Playing the next gen update now and just got an infinite shotgun thanks to your farming method that I had no clue about. I had the gane on normal and got legendary ghoul every time. Took about 6 tries for the weapon to be a shotgun and then about 13 or 15 to be able to pick up the infinite one. Thanks so much.

Currently running around with the Deliverer with max AGI. I have more attacks in VATS than I do rounds in my large magazine. Furthermore, I can START with a critical and manage two more if I use them all... it's obscene and I love it.

What mod are you using to make the Pipboy look like that?

A tip killing suiciders is that use a rifle or sniper if you use shot gun and is close range you will die or get crippled

Explosive combat shotgun. Granted you can cripple yourself if you are too close to the target.

Spray and pray with a lot of 45 ammo that is the strongest weapon you can have when you begin the game I do like having like explosive weapon the lucky legendary pickup

Note: Pistols, fully perked, have significantly better range than sniper rifles. So if you're putting points in guns, keep that in mind. Turn the Old Faithful from 200 some meter range to 350 (id I recall) by adding a comfort grip and making it a pistol. Something everyone should keep in mind as they choose perks. If you use laser/plasma weapons, rifle perks are far less valuable than pistol

Honestly, I had to put all the new quests till after I beat the game because how easy they were and how overpowered the gear that you got it was

Please help. I'm currently LV 31 and am trying to farm double barrels. And still didn't get it, instead got many combat shotgun Does level affect it?

I just got the big boy for just under 7k and I just traded purified water for it and maybe a little ammo. I started with 1 charisma and yeah just grape rentals can take it up to 10 but now I have 3 charisma the clothes can give up to 6 so just the grape mentats take me to 14 charisma I have no perks into making vendors cheaper.

Forgot to mention krehmv’s tooth can be put on another legendary machete if you find one.

Fort strong was a good legendary farm, I had two legendary super mutants spawn on me.

I didnt get the neverending shotgun but I got the wounding shotgun. All you have to do is hit the enemy one time and it bleeds out.

I get the perk where you can fast travel when overencumbered and grab like 200 guns from my base to offset costs at merchants. Get crazy weapons for a bunch of pipe pistols.

Got from a random legendary raider but the Assassins 10mm completely shreds any human you come across.

I just traded in my Big Boy Nuka Launcher for the Tesla Cannon. Love the Nuka Launcher but the ammo is scarce and it’s very inaccurate.

So wait, you can go back to places you previously cleared and get enemies to respawn or what? I just picked up the game about a week ago and havent played since 3.

The reason why you want Never Ending on a Double-Barrel shotgun and not a combat shotgun is because of the hair trigger mod. Giving the Double-Barrel hair trigger allows the firing rate to be uncapped. This goes bonkers, especially when you use Jet.

If you're going to just buy a legendary weapon Justice is in the same price range as Old Faithful and shotgun shells are both easier to find and make than fusion cells. I have done whole runs almost entirely with Justice and a sniper rifle of some sort.

Honestly General Chao’s Revenge is better than Kremvh’s tooth imo. You can find it earlier with about the same damage and it’s much easier to get

To be honest, the Gainer isn't very good for a pistol build. The ammo for it really appears late game. Also .357 ammo is expensive. Unlike some other damage adding effects, the flaming buff takes time to do damage. You can actually do the Railroad faction quests straight out of the vault without engaging the main story line. This will send you to the old Railroad HQ where you will pick up the Deliverer. The Deliverer does ok damage, takes the very available 10mm rounds, doesn't weight much, and has an insanely low VATS cost. If you are aiming for a VATS focused luck build, this is the weapon you want.
