Also Longboat key between Anna Maria and Sarasota. Clean white beaches. Been going there since I was a kid. Anna Maria is beautiful!

Great list! It has a good balance of what locals like to do at a beach and a perfect way for visitors to see what Florida is really like. I would add The Nature Conservancy Blowing Rocks Preserve near Jupiter. Best to visit during high tide and with high swells. Most Floridians don't even know about it. Catch it during a King Tide and you'll never forget it!

Long Boat Key near Sarasota! We got married there in 2007, so beautiful!

I agree about Anna Maria Island but Clearwater has to make the top 10. Also some of the beaches in Sarasota and Naples would have to be up there. The waters are more calmer than Cocoa Beach.
