I finished watching "The Silent Voice" today and this movie inspired me to learn sign language in the near future and help others. If one day I am going to be a teacher in a school, I will show this movie in my class. It is perfect movie for depressed teens or to teach others that bulling is bad as for those who create it as for those who becomes prey of it and to teach "special" people that everyone has a disability, some have it outside and some have it "inside" and do not need to think they are defects and to have the idea that non-existence of theirs is the best thing for others. I think sometimes it is better to be deaf for a minute in bad moments in life. I'm sorry I can not write well in English, but I'm sure everyone knows the message in my writing.

Grave of the Fireflies. Man this could be my version of the saddest anime of all time. I had mixed feeling while watching it. Feel sad for the story but when I remember that Japan invaded my country in 1940s they did worst to my people. Made me even sadder. Not to mention that this was made based on real life story.

I haven't watched this one as of yet and I agree. and I probably won't be watching it for the same reason I can't watch "Schindler's Liste" the latter mention would destabilize my emotional balance to the point of needing therapy to return, going by how just a few scenes and music pieces have impacted me. I count those as ample warning.

I cried when I watched the dead of Nagisa it was a heartbroken moment and I understood the depression of Tomoya. Then he had a new opportunity to be happy with his daughter Uchio but suddenly the author decided to increase the pain of Tomoya with Uchio dying in her father's arms. At that point I felt he had no reason to continue living. That emptiness made me cry a lot. To me that moment was the saddest in anime, losing your only child after having lost your wife 💔 😢 😔

Where is anohana? The part where everyone can see menma before she desepears when they got the letter and read it out loud it was so heart breaking

Yuuki had the worst luck possible. But she spent her last moments where she felt most at home, with not only her friends, but literally the entire playerbase paying their respects. Love it or hate it, Sword Art Online has a lot of beautiful moments, and this is one of my favorites.

Man haikkyu does not deserve to be on this list, that scene nearly made me laugh didn’t make me anywhere near cry

the story of Kayo in Erased was something else... it rlly showed me that no matter how bad of a family problem u have u should still be grateful of ur family but i rlly wish Kayo was married to Sutaro in the future

To be fair the fact that kayo had a kid with (forgot the name) was pretty powerful since they both were supposed to be dead in the real timeline. Sutaro achieved his main purpose on why he went back in time and that is saving his mom from her murder. Overall great anime

Yes me too your lie in april. Because I'm so sad and crying this story. Mostly kaori's died he's not telling. To Kousei he's feelings

For me it was when Kamina joked "When did you get so tall?" during the reunion. It was just such a genuine thing it tugged at my heartstrings knowing he wasn't physically there to see his little buddy grow up.

I have no idea how a group of kids crying is sadder than losing all your friends and crush.

I remember, lots and lots of years ago I watched this video while visiting family, I can clearly remember. The angel beats scene really got to me, but I didnt know at the time it was from that anime. Now, 2020, I was bored and decided to watch it because why not, it was on my recommended, and man it was like a revelation, because it didnt matter how many years ago I watched it, I still remembered the scene- not the characters- but the damn scene Scary how powerful ones memory is when it emotionally impacts you 💀

I feel that Yui’s goodbye and the graduation goodbyes were the saddest parts of Angel Beats.

Why is Koro-Sensei's Death never here..? (Assassination Classroom) AHEM. It's literally the only anime that made me cry so damn much.

Your Lie In April had, in my opinion, one of the most stunningly beautiful death scenes and overall portrayals of death I’ve ever seen in my life. Kaori, a sweet girl who’s only a child yet had to live her life knowing she was going to die, and being terrified of dying and being alone, succumbs to her illness. But that’s not even why the scene kills me. Her appearing on the stage back to full color, her violin that she wasn’t able to play once she got sicker in hand, and then the final duet that the two play together. And then the protagonist watches her soul burst from her chest like a dying star, the intense piano keys making it all the more intense as she left. It was a moving and beautiful portrayal of death, one of my all time favorites in anime or really any fiction.

I think because the death was inevitable it has less of a shock value, it's more when he reads her diary and starts crying is when it really hits you.

We can get a better view at the scene by looking at the manga version, where we see kaneki get slayed and killed.
