Um, you are wrong re the Overlord Bot with FC3 planes. Its easy with the inbuilt SRS radio overlay to adjust the radio frequencies. Also, you can create a text document that allows you to preset your radio channels anyway, there is a tutorial for it within the SRS package. Not that I am complaining that you aren't using Overlord :P

Hey Enigma, is autopilot disabled on the A-10A on ECW? It could be a bug but it won't enable...

Great tips. Regarding A-10A as Hind hunter is so true. I was absolutely shredded by A-10s yesterday when I was flying Hind.

Very nice, when I get into air to air situations, I like to jettison my A-G weapons - its difficult not to jettison the aim-9s in the haste tho

Yeah. I often end up greedy and keeping them, but jettisoning bombs really helps. By the way, to dump bombs without being perfectly wings-level, just go A2G mode and release weapon several times. Can do with mavericks too... Which wil really confuse enemies

I'm extremely new to the a10a. Just started flying at a couple days ago I was mainly flown the F-14 A&B model and F- 16 C with a little bit of f-15c sprinkled in there so I just wanted to change of pace. I found that my HUD keeps getting knocked out or at least the electronics or whatever it is I can still kind of make strafing runs just without a gunsight. But yeah I know you are definitely correct I'm not but maybe a minute into the video as far as the survivability it seems fairly easy to take out of the sky. But I think I've only had like maybe two pilot kills out of 15 shoot- Downs. The rest of my was able to eject even from low levels but yeah I look forward to the rest of the video and look forward to learning more and flying the A10 a and more and maybe at some point upgrading to the new A10

It's survivable compared to many other planes of the era. It can fly on a single damaged engine. It can take a fair amount of wing damage. It can take damage to the cockpit without an insta kill. Compare that against a 21 or an F5 which a single hit is pretty much death. But yeah, normally any of the above would take you out of combat. But at least you have more of a shot of getting home. Definitely still best to avoid being hit

@@Dr_Jebus definitely man I know the real life aircraft is just phenomenal. I know in the game though it seems almost like it's about like any other one a few hits and it's down. But it doesn't seem to automatically off you as a pilot when hit. I know it seems like everytime I get hit in the f 16 it's a pilot kill

Hello, useful vid, can you please make a video or tell a tip about how to find ground targets(on this server) I almost always look everywhere and zoom so much that my eyes start bleeding, and often when I eventually find something, it is too late and I get shredded from AA or Im balls deep in red territory. Sure. I'll try to get some good footage to help explain in a video. I mostly use the maverick sight to scan the area ahead, looking for the pattern of the enemy bases.

You can use SRS to contact overlord bot via voice. I typically use the F10 for the bot though. Also gun. Over 1000 rounds of ammo beats the gun capacity of anything else I can think of. Gives you a lot of extra to spray and pray.

if im correct there are no radar missiles to worry about? so you can fill all countermeasuresd with flares ?

There are no fox 3s,but there are fox-1s. Like the Mug-21's R3Rs. On Syria you also face the mirage and its missiles

Can you use Mav against Hinds? I think it was possible with the Viggen

Yes. I've not done it, but others have. You can lock helicopters like any ground vehicle

No, I tend to just trim it out. I use autopilot a lot on campaigns, but ECW the flights tend to be short enough that I don't tend to bother

@@Dr_Jebus Yeah, the A-10 is a bit TOO slow...took about twice as long as a Su-25. The factories will get repaired faster than I can hit em! Thinking of getting the F-5 in the sale and doing a low-level snake-eye run. It can hold 9 or 7 with tanks...

RE: Don't linger ... yeahhhh uhhm .. That's one of the major pros of the A-10. It can stay out there for quite awhile. Long "loiter time." They're not supposed to buzz in, drop all weapons, then buzz out. They're supposed to be "on call" for close air support. Not pick-and-choose targets at whim. I mean, I get this is tips for ECW, but still. It's improper -- and inefficient -- use of Warthogs.

A10s are also only supposed to operate in situations of complete air supremacy so would never be deployed to these sort of environments. And in order to be called in on specific threats they require JTACs or FAO to guide them in. But yeah, by all means critique a game tips video based on real life applications
