Hi everyone, and welcome to the channel. I focus on flight sims here, with a mix of single and multiplayer content. I also sprinkle in some non-flight games to keep me from going insane. Current schedule is:
Monday: Random whatever I feel like
Tuesday: DCS Multiplayer
Wednesday: No upload
Thursday: KSP Ironman
Friday: Non-DCS Flight Sim
Saturday: Short
Sunday DCS Singleplayer Campaign (Currently Operation Pontus)

Shrikes on the A4 aren't broken as in don't work. They just don't work as they should.
Same with them on the F-4.
No, at the time they were genuinely broken. They work again now. For a couple of months they would never track. We tested it over and over and out of like 30 launched over this time not a single one tracked. They all immediately nose dived. Now they are working again
@@Dr_Jebus Ah yes. They still are very iffy though. But not sure if it is as intended to mimmich IRL or not. They will very often just drop short or long.
@@XCougar85X I think it's now mimicking real life poor performance. Think it was something like a 25% hit rate. That seems to match what I've been getting in testing

I like to think of myself as a modern Don Quixote in this video, charging an airfield SAM over and over again while being told "you're gonna fail" and "your missiles are broken"

Yeah, this was recorded a while back and has just been sitting half-edited for a bit. So was actually recorded before you commented on the previous video. I have since learned how to turn on the radar XD As seen in last week's A-4 video.
@@Dr_Jebus still amazed how acurate your drops are even without A/G radar on in that mode. Maybe a hidden feature/bug :D

This mod is very important not just to the community but also to DCS world. It is the go to suggestion and well deserved, while filling a the need for this aircraft in sim.
Now with mig 21 and phantom both present in the game we desperately need Vietnam map.
Vietnam would be so cool. I know they need to do a lot of optimisation though. Trees currently kill frames in dcs and vietnam is... Trees

FC3 WWII , no thanks, we can do IL2 instead which already has plenty of planes. The fidelity of DCS planes is what makes it stand out.
Enigma needs to allow 2x S530EM not just 1... giving blue F4E with 4x Sparrow 4x AIM9 and all the rest is too much.

What CPU and GPU are you using??? I built my first rig recently with an i9 14900 and an rtx 4080 and anytime I get my graphics CLOSE to the quality of yours I start dropping framerate like crazy.... I was so happy to get this PC together and play dcs just to find out I can barely run it on medium graphics settings 🫤. Either I'm doing something wrong settings wise or sadly I'll just have to live with a $3k low to medium settings computer
Added to the video description, went missing at some point. PC Specs: Gigabyte GTX4090 64Gb DDR5 RAM Intel i7 13000K M.2 SSD Played at 4k Your CPU and GPU sound fine. It may well be a RAM issue if you have anything less than 64 as DCS routinely goes beyond 32 on unit-heavy maps. An M.2 SSD is useful for loading times but shouldn't limit frames

F-4E a fighter-bomber emphasis on bomber? Only War Thunder jet RB n00bs think that.
I suppose the Viggen's disadvantage with its low payload of only 2 anti-ship missiles is however compensated by the fact it is very fast, and therefore much less vulnerable, compared tot the slower ground pounders. also, thanks to the standoff, it probably doesn't need to fly all the way to the ships, rather fly until release point and then head back, meaning it can spend very little time feet wet

The Mirage F1 radar seems a bit too good to be true.

I doubt if a Phantom can last a fight with a Christen Eagle or a Rata! It is objectively awfully after wheels up
It's a pitty, that you can't use radar on ECW in F-4 or your FPS melt into single digits. Hotfix incomming with next patch
it's not a hotfix if it's part of a scheduled update. hotfixes by definition are unscheduled, urgent
F-4 "not a fighter"....so true...great fighter-Bomber and Interceptor for high flying bombers...also, I have no idea how experienced the blue force F-4 pilots are, but they are not fighting the F-4 properly. Down low they should be using aim-9's, sparrows are pretty useless in the ground clutter, and they aren't using their power to climb out and drain the energy of the F-1's and then re-engage. Getting into a one circle with the F-1 is a recipe for a nice flight in a parachute.
I heard there is a big issue with that thinking in War Thunder. F-4 players have a habit of bombing bases rather than helping their team win air superiority and team fights only to then get surrounded because they did not help their team.
@@NuclearFalcon146 The F-4 can be an effective in air-air when dealing with aircraft like the F1, Mig-21, and F-5...if the F-4 is working as a flight with proper teamwork. In a flight of two, I would have called a tactical spread and direct attack and cover. Even with modern BVR capable aircraft like the 16, we employ team tactics in engagement. Sole attempts generally lead to sight seeing from the silk ride.

Yeah, pretty much. The odd F5 or A10 but it was pretty much F4s Vs those few reds
F-4E can technically be a "red" jet because of Iran (Same applies to Mirage F1 but because of Iraq) but then you run into IFF issues if it is on both sides. Wait, that could potentially make for a decent plane set for an Iran-Iraq war map.
Looks like phantom can hold it's own versus F1. Especially in slow fight. Good video.

As one of the largest servers around I think Enigma should add the appropriate modules if nothing else but for the sake of the game it self. ED will be looking at the sales numbers and I think Enigma could help pump them up a bit. With that maybe ED will see that there is sense in releasing more lower fidelity modules.
Have they updated the taxiing physics in any way? i remember like last eyar flying it and taxiing was more difficult than dogfighting a mig21 with a full bombload on.
The laser rockets will hit quite easily from 5 miles range. You don't need to get so close. The range rings on the hud are designed for dumb rockets.
