I'm reminded by the Body Shop's White Musk because despite being an 80s perfume, every young girl in the 90s in England was wearing it so I have the scent memory.

Opium for men EDP is extremely hard to get!!! You are the bomb!!!

I love Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant, it smells like Christmas ❤🎄

I remember spending a weeks wages buying Chanel Allure back in the 90's. I don't think I've ever worn a perfume that has gotten so many compliments from random strangers. I still wear it now, but don't think it has the same longevity as it had back then, but I still love it.

Allure is still my fav too - definitely not as long lasting as it was. Wore it on my wedding day in 2000

I remember the 90s well, and it seemed that for us kids on a budget the “designer imposters” of the 80s gave way to affordable “department store” options. Here in the Midwestern US it was all Liz Claiborne, Sunflowers, Elizabeth Taylor and Calvin Klein for women-Drakkar Noir and Calvin Klein for men 😎 This was also the era of the first VS perfumes

Love the " juicy stories" attached to these icons. This was a fun watch 😂❤

I was in my 20's during the 90's era. I can't believe l wore those beast mode perfumes ! I am buying them one at the time. If only l knew... Some prices are just ridiculous. Thank you for your magnificent reviews. ❤❤❤ from Belgium

What an enjoyable re-encounter with masterpieces of the 90s parfumery! Thank you for another great video, Dacob! Full of love and passion for those little treasures. The big love of mine was L'Eau d'Issey back then. Also the giggling Dolce Vita and Nuits Indiennes by Jean-Louis Scherrer.

I loved champagne by YSL which had to be renamed Yvresse, they updated the fragrance for the better and have it as a Madison perfume only available at their stores

So true what you said at the end about 90s and the vanilla theme threaded throughout so many of them. I liked Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace, The Body Shop Vanilla (different now), and the original Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean (pre Vanilla Bean Noel, or Vanilla Sugar), too.

Dune.. cherry vanilla.. perhaps by bob mackie... joop for women .. Davidoff cool water.. pleasure Estée Lauder.. some of the ones I wore.. oh and my fave Paloma Picasso EDP WAS divine!

Hi there! I am a huge huge huge HUGE fan of the 90's!!!! Egoiste is a legend, I love it. My favourite fragrance from that decade was and still is Parfum d'ete by Kenzo. It's summer in a bottle!!! Maybe you could make a review on the older formulation and the current one. It's definitely been reformulated but not a ghost of it's older personality. I would love to know what you think about it. Great list by the way! I love the advertisements too!!!!😉

I remember my first fragrances being Paris, Escape, Poison, Lou Lou and I loved Karl Largerfield and Jazz for men....so early 90's

I grow up in the 90’s 😀 I love the fragrances back then amazing

Opium pour homme eau de parfum was my absolute favourite. Sadly it has been discontinued here in France years ago, I can't find it anymore 😢 It was the sexiest perfume I ever wore, and I cherish my empty refillable bottle sniffing the cap sometimes... The eau de toilette is really different i never liked it.

I LOOOOOVE Egoiste. Used to wear it religiously. (Not the Platinum). I purchased 3 bottles lately because I heard it was about to be pulled from the US stores. ( It did not. At least yet...) I love both JPG and Opium - OMG yaaaaaaaaaaaaaas! I need to get the Opium.

90'brings so many memories....I was very aware of them,as I was in my teens,at the beginning.I owned the original D&G back then,but i don't remember liking it so much,I will definitely have to revisit the current formulation, although it's not the same,I know.Some of the 90'releases I bought in beginning of 2000'Mugler Amen, Declaration,and Egoiste...and some in 2010'(Guerlain Heritage)... although the 90'made some great releases,the magic decade was definitely the 80'.Nothing will beat that decade.Not only in perfumes.

Have they changed D&G pour Homme? I'd like a bottle to take me back to my early 20's! (I love Guerlain Jicky too and that has totally changed since buying it mid 90's - I bought it for my mum but landed up keeping it) It was strong. Less is more with those vintage ones! I had Egoiste also and remember the ad!- I remember the gay bars reeking of L'eau D'Issey! lol not one for me but it was everywhere in London later 90's - especially amongst retail staff hahaha!

My favorites that I currently wear now are Eau du Soir , Cabotine (edp) , kenzo parfum d'ete , and the ones I wore as a teen and scream 90s in my memory are Halloween by Jesus del Pozo, Lolita Lempicka, laguna by Dali L'eau par Kenzo and CK one.

My 90’s signature was Chanel Platinum Egoiste. I used it clubbing too. Imagine a kinda goth looking guy smelling of Egoiste. Nightlife was…fun!

The current edition of Egoist is not impressive. Do you have a recommendation where to get an old one.

Dont mind me being here after 9 months but i'm just casually binging your videos. I LOVE THIS ONE!! i wish i have appreciated some of the ones u mentioned more at that time: i absolutely HATED Eden at that time, it made me gag! it smelled so weird! But i'm actually thinking about trying it again because of you. So sad Allure, Organza and Dolce Vita didnt make the list❤ But very happy Angel didnt😂

Oh so regret not getting a stack of Vivien Westwood Boudoir, it was fantsastic , can’t get it anywhere now. First bought it in 1999 and then it disappeared quickly…. Follow your heart always! The lesson learnt then! ❤️😎

Tendre Poison was made after Cabotine by Gres and indeed it tries to mimic and capitalize off of Cabotine’s success story. Try Cabotine out (the green one) and see how you like it. Its a cheapie these days.

Classique by Gaultier : what a masterpiece it is. Bought another bottle of Eden two weeks ago. This thing is majestic ( very true ) I like it a lot too: t is so 90s. Opium Pour Homme ( I do remember the advert as well). Hyptonic Poison: Oh la la the bitter almond, the vanilla, such a seductif perfume :) I have been following you for a couple of years now Dacob: you are getting better and better. Your confidence is growing. I cannot get enough of your expertise in each of your video :) Do you recommend me to buy Cabotine as it is a cheapy these days and I had my eyes on them for long.

OMG youtube is so random, i love this pretty bearded person, could watch for hours...lol. Came across this video cause I've been trying to remember a scent that is meaningful to me in that it encapsulates one of the first things I smelled on my girlfriend when i moved to San Francisco in 96/97.....i want to get it just to smell and remember that summer again. The problem is I would have to smell it to know.....I can't remember the name but i feel like Flowers or Sunflower sounds familiar...it was light breezy fruity yum to the max. One day i'm gonna make my own perfume, I'm obsessed with scent.

It was amazing and almost made it into the top 10 but there was no more space and since classique is even more groundbreaking, I decided to keep that Gaultier perfume instead and gave the slot to Amen by Mugler instead.

What is the problem with the perfumes made in Spain? I don't get it, 'cause that country has a very good ingredients and essences.

Only thing I have to disagree about fashion going out in the late 90s, as fashion is subjective! Great video otherwise tho 👌🏼 also not all Y2K fashion is bad 😭😭 as someone who is living through this resurgence while also growing up in the 00s. Bell bottoms are a classic!

Bell bottoms are from the 60’s and 70’s. They were not invented in the 00’s so I would never define bell bottoms as Y2k per se and bell bottoms is not what I dislike about the early 00’s.

dolce & gabbana pour homme was my favorite. my favorite favorite favorite. then one day i bought a bottle and it was different. so very different. so very very different that they should have just renamed it instead of tricking everyone. it's not even close. it's like lemon javex now. it's like dollar store "our version of" now. it still makes me sad. i read intenso was supposed to closer, but that was a lie. at least i still have some gucci envy for men left.
