Thanks for what you are doing for music 🙏🏻🎶
Very informational talk, really enjoyed it 🔥
I recently sent a track demo to toolroom, and the response was 'Amazing work here, but the hook isnt quite strong enough for us' ...... Based on what Mark Knight said in this video, would have been nice to have had some more in depth feedback, why wasnt the hook strong enough? wrong type of sound? wrong melody design? wrong instrument? And if it was 'amazing work' but not quite there, in terms of strength of hook, why not work with me to get it there?
Lol love the jab at tech house. It really is true even when I’m making tech house and referencing after like an hour I’m like is this even good? Lol
14:50 Shit. I am already 38. :(

Don't give too much power to opinions... They're speaking from they're perspective and the depth of their knowledge and experience but that shouldn't demotivate you... Just do you irrespective of the noise because everyone has a different path and season

Age is just a number dude. They don't care if you're 38 as long you release nice music, that's what it matters to the labels. I've seen 60 year old record producer make songs for famous artists....Age is just a number in music industry. Buf if you're45- 60 and you want to get a desk job or whatever they won't hire you of course, they're looking for young people. In music it doesn't matter at all. Age doesn't mean a shit bro in music industry, even if you're a dj 😄My brother is 33 ghost producer supported by big labels Spinning, tomorrowland and stuff, like I said age don't mean a shit. PS: good luck and have a nice day.
