this week I build a box that hooks on my miter saw stand to hold tools and give additional support to materials.

i like the idea of having your tools located in one place while you are working on site. I used to have that same stand but I ended up getting the folding style with wheels as I am quite a bit older than you and carry tools everyday wears me out. That being said, one other commenter said something about folding it. that got me to thinking - you could use piano hinges. Make it a trifold. leave the back rail out of the equation or be able to slide the back rail in to keep it from swaying.

Man, that's really cool! Necessity is the mother of invention. One minor suggestion I have would be to drill some holes on the sides so that you can make a removable shelf for the top. This would allow you to place boards to be cut by the miter saw to sit on a flat surface, and remove the risk of it tilting, or more likely bowing, in the void between the sides. You could use those shelf pins because they're small enough to not be an obstruction. If you don't need that top shelf you can always remove it, but it gives you another option.

Yah man good suggestion. This for me was definitely a 1st iteration I’m sure there will definitely be some fine tuning and additions

Thanks man that’s a good idea . To be honest this was definitely a 1st iteration I’m sure I will rip it apart and change stuff after a bit . I agree I think it will get annoyingly big after I move it to a few jobs .
