Tool Rolls. Are they any good and worth the money?

I got sick of carrying my tools jumbled up in a tool bag and I broke my inspection mirror. You need to be able to carry some basic tools when travelling in the outback or even if you're just off the main roads. So I looked for a better solution and came up with a really good tool roll. Find out which one I bought and how I use it.

I like it.Keep your bag for the other stuff. As you continue your journneys you will find more stuff that you will need.I am going to start to carry a bit more electrical stuff. Fusible link and maybe some short lengths of heavy duty cable. On our last trip a fella blew his fusible link cos of a short in some of his accessory wiring. He didnt have a spare ,so we had to rejig his battery cables to eliminate the fusible link. I need to carry a decent pair of sidecutters and a fusible link .Of course most modern vehicles are even more dpendent on electricals

Thanks Paul, Great idea to make it an electrical kit bag and especially the fusible link, hadn't thought of that one. Also might throw in a small butane soldering iron and a multimeter.

Hi Ivor, Sounds nice but no thanks. I started doing this because I felt I couldn't necessarily trust many of the reviews out there. It will always be just my honest opinion, good or bad! Thanks for watching and I think you will be happy with the tool roll. John

Great Review! Really like Crashpad gear. Will the Crashpad tool roll fit under the seat of the Grenadier in lieu of the factory tool kit?

Yes and no. Mine has a lot of tools in it (probably too many)and won't fit but following your suggestion I am thinking of taking a few things out that I really don't need and fitting it under the drivers seat. Hope that answers your question, Cheers John

Thanks Craig I appreciate your comment, Yes I know it looks bad. The speed limit on Fraser Island is 80kph and there is a fair bit of traffic believe it or not. Most travelling around that speed (or higher). Occasionally you a encounter a rut or water channel which is deeper than the last ten you have been through as was the case here on an overcast day travelling at about 50kph. We were shocked when we saw the video . However probably the first time I have been called a hoon .
