Great review, James! Very interesting to see the performance of the impact driver head.

I have one of these, it's been given an absolute pounding and is still working just fine. AEG seems to cop a bit of stick, I have no idea why, they're great tools in my opinion. I also have an 18v drill and an 18v impact driver, they too have had a hard life and are both are still working fine. My two original batteries are getting on for 5 years old now, one is getting a tiny bit tired but the other is still going strong. That's as much as you could ask for I reckon.

Awesome video. Not much people do reviews on AEG. I have a hammer drill and a impact and they are both very good. Do you think you will be making other vids on AEG?

Hey James, I could not work out what you were actually making the whole in the floor for. What is a trap door?

roman , Hi Roman, Its for a trap door to get access to an area of the floor that can not be accessed from below the house. Pest spraying mainly and termite inspections.

Thanks for the demo, However i was looking to see where that black "spacer fits on the blades. Initially you dont use it! then it looks like you put it on top of the blade. And to complicate things the instruction manual shows it going under the blade!! Clarification would be awesome!

+Mike Heywood , Hi Mike, sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this (been on a camping holiday), I put it on top of the blade and it works fine for me.

actually, it's pretty good. I have a 14.4V Fein multitool (15+ yr old) still working great, but tired bearings. The AEG is a good replacement. I'll get back on the AEG in 13yrs about this one though, lol. btw, wouldn't hex screw be easier on your wrist, elbow, shoulder, lower back, hip, knee? Keeping that bit in must've been fun.. Nevertheless, enjoyed the video: I never knew the head could turn!

They are identical, Ridigid is sold in North America while the same tools are sold as AEG in the rest fo the world. They are made by TTI, which is the owner of Milwaukee.
