TOO STEEP a PRICE? 🚠 The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Our recent California Road Trip included a stop at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, taking us 8,500 feet above (and 35°F BELOW) Palm Springs to the San Jacinto Mountains overlooking the Coachella Valley.
But is it worth paying over $200 for a family of four?
Will we make it to the top?
And what is there to do once you're up there - for adults or for kids of any age?
We cover it all, and if you want up-to-date pricing and timings, check out their website at pstramway.com/
And because we mention it, here's the link to our extensive coverage of Palm Springs itself, including a HOTEL DISASTER early on in our stay:
• What To Do (and AVOID)...
See you next time!

Great to hear! We try to make the videos we wish we’d seen before we travelled! Thanks for watching and have a wonderful trip!

I know you don't intend for this to happen, but your videos leave me a bit teary-eyed -- I loved traveling with the kids when they were teenagers, and even into their 30s. It all goes so fast. Enjoy it! 🥲

It feels like it’s going so quickly! So glad we’re getting to make these memories, and we hope want to come away with us when they’re older! Thanks for watching!

Had to look up your videos after learning about them on Writing Battle. I was excited to see this Tramway, as I know I will never get to see it in person. Thanks so much!

I can't believe how expensive it is now. 🙄 I've done the tram 4 times. Once was in the early '80s when they were still using the old tram cars. I liked the old cars better. Two of the times I went backpacking in the area and it was very nice.

I went in 1980 with my brother to ski. Is it still allowed? The mother and father are warm people but I cannot wrap my brain around kids that do not appreciate vacations abroad. I love to travel because I grew up not being able to , but now that I can I always see bored teenagers staring at their phones. Yeeechh.

Not sure if skiing is allowed, but we didn’t see anyone doing it when we were there!

I remember it being 8 bucks and free parking in 1980.

I read many comments on other web providers that there is long waiting lines for this tramway, true, or are just sour grapes?

We were there in the holidays, and it was fine; however we were there first thing in the morning. It was a lot busier when we left so we would suggest going up early if you can to avoid lines
