Considering Sonic 2011, Alan is being forced to sing as in the game, not holding the right key makes him run away upon seeing X.

You know there is a detail I just noticed in this viewing. From the song's beginning until about 1:16 the timer counts up as if counting the song's time. Then after Tails/Alan starts running the timer changes to 48 seconds and starts counting down. Really neat detail.

The reason why this mod uses Alan is because that's the soul trapped inside the Tails vessel in both Sonic 2011 and PC Port.
