Praying for continued healing for Leanne and for a good appt for Ralph on Wednesday. Praying the entire Doss Farm Family.

I had the TAVR procedure done 5 days ago and God blessed me abundantly. I am scheduled to go back to work in 3 days and can't praise our Lord enough. My surgery date was also my birthday. What a birthday present. A new heart valve! My prayers are with you and our God can surely work miracles. I also had a heart catheterization, a CT scan and an echocardiagram . They are routine for these procedures. Even though i was nervous and scared my faith didnt waiver and now i am thankful and praising God for His healing hand on my life.

We have in western Massachusetts. You can have some of ours.

The cat had an access and it's drained out. The area always loses hair and then scabs over. A skin puncture causes these abcess. The vet would have done surgery and drained that access. Would have cost you the earth but sometimes surgery is necessary. Painful for Mama. Poor sweetheart. Prayed for her. ❤ Leeann, thank you for taking good care of yourself. That mean old man needs you. Lol I know your worried. God's got this. Hugs!

Cats can get abscesses really easily because there bites are wicked dirty. She probably got a nail or a tooth and got debris in it which caused a response to it and tried pushing it out causing the abscess. If it scans. Make sure u take the scab off to help aid in her healing. Tissue can’t grow over a scab

It looked like the dog were protecting grandma from getting hit by the goats.

Prayers for your health, I found out 2 weeks ago that I have lung cancer, started chemo treatments this week, please keep me in your prayers, appreciate them all

If Miss Kitty will let you, you can try cleaning it with soap and water and hold a warm comptress on it if there is still infection. Put some antibacterial ointment (like neosporin) on the wound too.

Grandpa Doss, you have to be related to my brother in law. My sister has never been able to hang anything on the walls in 32 yrs. I have one thing to say, 3M command strips! They don’t mark your walks and you can put up artwork…

Take off the big leaves of each lettuce plant and let the little leaves grow.

My grandmother used to take lettuce like you have and😊 make wilted lettuce with some green onions sliced (just the bulb) and top with a hot bacon drippings,vinegar and water dressing. I don’t have the exact portions for the dressing.

Lettuce your break off the outside leaves and leave the middle center alone

Grandpa Doss...Miss Kitty had an abcess . They are common in cats who are outdoors. And sometimes indoors. They are usually caused by another cats claw getting caught during a fight ...or cats roughhousing with each other.Which happens when you have more than one cat or a cat that fights a lot... infecting that area.. In your case i would say it's caused by your cats playing, and Baby accidently caught a claw in Miss Kitty the wrong way. Cats claws carry a lot of bacteria. Sometimes the abcess pops on it own,but a lot of times they have to be lanced And then the vet gives them antibiotics. . Most people bring them to their vets.I have experience with cats and do it myself with a sterilized exacto knife.. I have eight cats,including a feral. It is normal for the fur to fall off in the wound area. And there should be a small scab where it popped. That sounds like what you hav e seen.What you need to do since it popped on its own is clean it with peroxide and i would use triple antibiotic cream on it. Keep an eye on it because they sometimes will fill back up. If that happens i would bring the cat to the vet then..

This is why I mentioned in the last video I was surprised they did not take her to the vet, know they said it was on the weekend, but maybe touch base with the vet to see what they recommend. If it was an abscess, have seen many (vet tech for 45 yrs.) on cats/dogs, they are nasty, can make the animal very sick and can be caused by many things; another animal, foreign objects, and some wounds will get infested with maggots. Glad she is feeling good.

Yes, that’s leaf lettuce and it’s ready to harvest but don’t toss the plants just yet. Just pinch off any leaves that are the size that you want and leave the plants to produce more. It should produce lettuce through September, maybe even October. Whenever you have a frost, cover all your plants with bed sheets and blankets to protect them all the way up to the first hard frost. Nothing would protect them from a hard frost unless you moved them into a heated greenhouse. I love leaf lettuce. The bigger leaves can be used as a wrap. The smaller leaves are great in salads or on a sandwich. Update on my legs. The antibiotics are starting to work but not fast enough for me. Both legs are still horribly infected so, please continue to pray for me. I appreciate it so much. I may be living into an assisted living facility soon. I’m not sure if it’s what I want to do yet. But my doctor told me that I more than qualify and she’ll sign off on it for me. I know I should but haven’t made up my mind yet. I have been praying for both of you and praying that your kids have the strength to care for you guys. I know it’s not an easy job. So be patient with them. Love you both and your kids too. 🥰

My mom used leaf lettuce to make wilted lettuce. The way she did it was to wash the lettuce and pat it dry. Put it in a big bowl. You want to use a lot of leaf lettuce for this because it wilts down a little. In a small bowl you want to mix a couple of spoonfuls of sugar with about a half cup of milk then add a couple of spoonfuls of vinegar and mix well. Pour that over the lettuce and toss it so that each leaf gets coated. The fry some crisp bacon, about 3 or 4 slices. Crumble the bacon over the lettuce and toss. Then while the grease is hot spoon it over the lettuce tossing the lettuce after each spoonful. Once all of the lettuce is coated with bacon grease and most of it wilted then you can serve it up. I’ve heard it being made without the milk, sugar and vinegar, made without the vinegar, and made without the milk, and vinegar. It all depends what part of the south that you are from. I loved it made the way my mom did it. I haven’t had it in a very long time. I haven’t had a garden in a couple of years.

Hi Ralph. There are animal doors that only open when a kitty gets near wearing a collar that activates and opens the door. That might work to keep the critters out of the garage. Pick the outer leaves of the lettuce and leave the center. It will keep growing back.

praying grandpa n grandma doss!!! don’t forget to deduct that hair miss lola lost that was probably half an inch! i do have a prayer request about a week ago i had some chest pain seen cardio got abnormal ekg said its a blockage i know Gods got it my request is more for my hip the replacement needs replaced surgeon finally admitted what’s wrong but still refuses to do anything to fix it please pray for him to stop postponing it its been over a year ago n this not being able to do like i used to has caused this with my heart we can’t just sit inside day after day n it not effect our bodies physically, emotionally n mentally i’ve missed out on bdays basketball games my 7 yr old granddaughter played in the spring etc. i’m missing out on living!!! thank u to all who pray for this beautiful couple they keep me going watching them n of course the animals!!! love u both!!!❤❤❤

Can also roll a batch of lettuce in a clean, damp kitchen towel, refrigerate it, and it should last a bit. That worked for me with Romaine, not sure how leaf lettuce would do.

I use store bought head lettuce and the paper towels keep it from adding moisture unlike the bags in the store

Thank you for all the prayers through my heart procedure. I had both clogged arteries cleaned out one stent reinflated, and a new stent placed in the other one. The large zucchini can be stuffed as you would peppers. I cut the end off and scape with a spoon or a potato peeler the inside. I mix it in with the ground beef mix and stuff it inside the zucchini and bake. It makes a wonderful meal.

@@grandpadossfarms It's great, especially with the cheese, if you can have it - my Dad grew Marrows - lke Giant zucchini, and stuffed with ground beef, and maybe some bell pepper and mushroom, or even a chilli, we had them most days for the duration of the season, just chaging up the stuffing

Regarding your kitty if it’s what our cat has had on its neck the vet explained to us that it’s either a botfly or warble and it burrows under the skin grows to an adult and then it’s grown when it opens it leaves a spot but usually heals up and there’s no lasting effect on the cat but you can usually cover the area with Vaseline for 10-15 minutes and it makes it easier to grasp but don’t squeeze because that will lead to infection but you can also google it and get all the information I’ve given you plus a whole lot more just type in “what burrows under the skin on a cats neck” and it will show up….have a blessed day will continue to pray until everyone has a clean bill of health😉🙏🏼💜

It sounds like the kitty had an abscess. They can get one from a scratch, a bite etc. One of my cats would get them from time to time. Usually in her case it was from a cat fight. Once the abscess burst and drains it heals and all is ok. Praying for you both. LeeAnn you are looking so good.

Hello Ralph & LeaAnn Prayer request please Our landlords have decided that my 7 year old grandson (his birthday is today) who is autistic… is too much and “he’s only going to get worse” they won’t be renewing our lease. That was by text. I’ve lived here 8 years. They’ve know my whole family for all that time. They were like family. Anyway, we are looking for a place that will be safe and ours. A place no one can text me and tell me we need to leave. A place for the kids, for our gardens, for our chickens…. Please, say a prayer for us. I always liked to pick the zucchini when they were the size of a small cucumber, 5-8 inches. They come so fast that if you let them get big you will never keep up using it up. But we used to donate a lot of veg to the thrift shoppe and anybody who needed or wanted it could take as much as they want.
