Too Innocent Too Remote to Understand

I get called a lot of things but these last two were real winners.

I am still a Covid virgin at 73…and I intend to keep it that way…When I flew back to my mainland home after being at my “almost local” home on the BI…I didn’t care about the looks on the plane…I wear designer K95 masks to match my colorful outfits…I have fun with it. Right there with you on the microbiome care…been doing that for years after studying aging…Bill, you live in one of the most incredible Blue Zones and it is perfect for us retired musician elders…thanks for sharing your beautiful self

I have not resisted vaccination but neither have I been very timely about them. Back during the peak of covid, I wore a mask despite hating the thing. I tend to stick to the farm so social contact is mostly with friends and family. I got the first case by sharing a beer with my son when we were both well. The next day he fell ill. I have friends that have children in school. The latest version of covid was circulating in the schools and friends brought it to me some how. After 3 or 4 shots and two infections I hope to be pretty resistant because I have grown tired of all the precautions.

For humans, there is no other reality. The mind interprets our world and 80% of the data it uses is from memory. Memory is stored and created by the way we think.

You can only take in so much horror, greed and hate before you realize it is a terrible diet. You can feed on compassion and love with the same spoon on the same planet at the same time. What your eyes see changes with what you feed your mind.

Happy Birthday Bill! You might get a call where you're forced to listen to the traditional happy birthday song and cringe. Hehe. Maybe we'll throw some bagpipes in there or something to spice it up. Ive gone off track a few times in my life but default nature is Aloha and Ohana. It can be tough to maintain, one forgets when surrounded by negativity and rage, but being in the present and keeping to a standard works. Discipline. And good gut bugs. 😊

Their thoughts are not your thoughts. The more negatively others interpret the world around themselves the more urgent it becomes get a grip on your own thoughts. Thoughts are your reality, there is no other for humans. Most of us have no clue. The tail of the sheep in front of us is the primary view of reality. In other words, our leaders are assholes! Yuck-yuck.

@@GreenGardenGuy1 I tend to draw community to me. A great source of motivation to do good. A great responsibility to set a good example. I think you may do the same. There aren't enough leaders with good hearts, and power corrupts easily. Must stay in balance. Prioritize reality as it is in front of us.

@@mountain-man0 It is possible, if I had set up a church, I would be a very wealthy man. Trouble is, church leaders get followers. Don't spread this around but I do not like followers. I don't like people who want to lead and I have no inclination to do so myself. I talk, that's what I do. If you like it and can use it, feel free to pick it up. This approach seems to work for getting information out there with out have a bunch maggot brains following me around like Trump.

@@GreenGardenGuy1 That makes good sense. Also less likely to get your ear blown off. I don't want to lead, but people follow and listen regardless.

It's been good. I feel much younger than I did a couple years ago. No kidding. I suspect it was addressing the covid damage with a pre & probiotic diet. The results have been amazing.

Bill, your thoughts may be your reality, but your reality has to survive within the world, and its reality. I watched my mother live in a fantasy when I was growing up, and for a lifetime thereafter. As a teenager I swore that I’d make it a point to be as grounded in reality as much as I could and still stay positive. Going through a divorce, and in the political reality of 2024, I’m wondering if I should escape the mainland and flee to the big island, because of the likely reality of civil unrest and violence after the next election. The U.S. may change in not such good ways depending on who gets elected, and it might get really difficult and ugly. In addition there is the reality that California has deteriorated into a certain level of ugliness, as many places across the U.S. have, in my opinion. Perhaps I’m dreaming that there is still some semblance of the way life used to be, somewhere in this country, like back in the day when people used to, as you say Bill, talk story, or behave in a civil, friendly manner. Does it still exist? Does the Hawaiian aloha and kohana set it apart from the mainland and make it a happier, healthier place? IDK. 🤷‍♂️ 🤙🏽

Perhaps if I say, your thoughts color everything that happens. If your thoughts are dark, your world is dark. If your consciousness is elevated then solutions become possible. The world looks like what you think it looks like. This doesn't mean I am unaware of the stupidity and ugliness all around me. It just happens to be some one else's problem. I don't have that sort of mental illness that wakes up to see an ugly world. I wake up, bless the sunrise and make a plan for the day. The insanity of the world is outside the gate. Because I am a crack shot, it had better stay that way.
