If we got her aged up in a future movie to be Iron Heart and somehow dodge all this woke bullshit to just be a "batgirl" type honoring her dads legacy, Id be happy with that.

Few people other than Robert Downey, jr. could pull off Tony Stark. Then he goes off and plays an amazing Sherlock Holmes. He is truly an amazing and versatile actor. In this scene he believingly captures both brilliant creativity and then both fatherly tenderness and warmth. I'm not sure many actors could pull that off.

I think its because he realized that there WAS someone that he was missing too. He missed Peter. That's what compelled him to figure out time travel. If there was a way for him to keep his happy new life with Pepper and Morgan AND get Peter back too, he had to try.

Thanos's statement to Tony during the Battle on Titan really hits me when seeing this scene, "You're not only one cursed with knowledge". And indeed he was cursed with knowledge. His knowledge to time travel had given him a monumental responsibility to save the universe, and eventually led him to his demise

Almost every major MCU film came out early May during my Birthday week. I usually got together a good group of 5-12 people, family/friends, each time to go to IMAX, and we'd celebrate with dinner afterward and discuss. Did that for nearly 10 years. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

The fact that it was Peter the one who eventually pushed him to come out of retirement and invent time travel shows not only how much of a hero Tony was, but also how much he grew to love this kid. I mean, anybody would believe Peter keeping a picture of him and freaking Ironman in his house but Tony keeping a picture of Peter long after he died... Like the Russo Bros confirmed, Peter was his other kid 🥲

Giving Peter back to Marvel and pairing him up with Tony was one of the best decisions for both characters.

Never forget one look at Peter Parker 0:25 saved the universe, it was literally Tony’s love for Peter that saved the universe that’s so heart warming

Tony didn't have a kid and Peter didn't have a father figure. Putting them together was a great decision. Spidey's introduction into MCU could have been done in so many ways but bless Kevin and Russos for turning Peter into his protege. Some might complain that it made him less of his own person, but Far/No way Home show his growth beyond Tony's shadow while keeping his legacy intact.

@@ItDaBiz People like to crap all over Whedon now, and I do think there are some very valid reasons to criticize his writing. It could be a lot worse though. I watched both Snyder's version of Justice League, and the Whedon cut. Whedon's version was more coherent, and just all around better. If Martian Manhunter had gotten his way in the Snyder cut, there's a fair chance that Darkseid would have won due to Superman killing the other heroes since Lois wouldn't have been there to snap him out of it when they brought him back to life.

In my opinion this small snippet is some of RDJs best acting. So real and so genuine. One of the heaviest scenes in the film

The way he already have the prototype and know really well about how dangerous time travel concept is, i think he's been thinking about the time machine before capt, nat, and scott came to him.

Yes, after the avengers left his house he opened the project right after that. I think It was like 90% completed but he was afraid to finish It because he has to deal with the consequences. Maybe Strange saw a future where Stark made the time travel machine couple days after the bip but Stark probably concluded that and postponed as much he could to spent time with his family.

3:50 Here it is, the exact same loving smile he gives Pepper after making the snap. He's so sorry that he couldn't put it away, but also loves her for understanding that about him.

Tony became more valuable than the time stone at that point. Strange traded a time stone, for a man who could help create a time machine. Tony is the only one that could do it.

When your code runs perfectly

There's an aspect of Tony that doesn't get talked about enough, that I always identified with, and it's on display here. Tony is smart, but he isn't driven. It's much more visceral than that. He is haunted by the constant churning of his brain. His mind is constantly moving, and it's always trying to solve every problem that ever existed. It's like a drug addiction. He physically cannot stop his brain. I'm the same way with writing music. I hear it in my head incessantly. It keeps me awake, it pulls away my ability to enjoy other things because it's never willing to take a back seat. Its not inspiration. It's an eldritch abomination twisting the brain until productivity comes out. Tony isn't a happy inventor. He's a slave to his creative mind.

That's an interesting way of looking at it. He's probably infuriating on vacation as any problem he sees starts his mind working on a solution, so he never relaxes. Probably one of those people that sleeps only because he is so exhausted he can't keep his eyes open. Probably gets disappointed when if finally does figure something out he has been working on as now he is unoccupied until he finds something else to latch onto.

The way music spins in your head, stories spin in my mind. I started writing novels back in October 2011 and I haven't stopped to this day. Thankfully, I've been blessed to see a few of them published and received exceptionally well. Some of the tales of how my stories have affected people's lives humble me. It's a wonderful thing.

I love how even after discovering the knowledge of time travel, he still takes time out to be a father. It's not much, but it says a lot about who Tony turned into.

RDJ was just so important to the MCU. I miss him terribly in every new movie they create.

I love how this scene doesn't focus on the amazing invention (figuring out time travel is huge) but on the motivation and implication of the man who invents it and his family.

Peters picture was the one thing that convinced Tony to do it 🥺

This scene hits like a ton of bricks after knowing the outcome. Especially after that line, "we got lucky, a lot of people didn't."

Tony intellect was leading him to be a literal God in a man's body. Best hero and arcs in MCU

This entire scene and Tony's motivation echoes one of the first things Peter said to to Tony when they first met: "When you can do the things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you." He knows he can fix it. And now he knows he can, if he doesn't, it might as well have happened because of him.

This scene with them on the couch probably has more meaning than we realised Tony is in perhaps the exact same position his father once found himself in when it came to the Manhattan Project or project rebirth, to have obtained this scientific secret of the universe and to question 'should we?' ultimately both the architects of their own demise.

His scenes with his daughter are so good. Makes the ending of this film so much harder 😭

RDJ problaby was an uncredited Executive Producer for the MCU. Helping them behind the scene. When an actor, actress or director had reservations about continuing, Marvel problably sent RDJ or Evans to persuade them.

3:28 why do i feel like Thanos did it on purpose. It's like he knew he cannot stop Tony Stark so he spare everything for Tony, it's like, Thanos knew that Tony is the biggest problem, but if he could make Tony settle down, then Tony is as good as nothing. Tbf Strange bought Tony’s life in exchange for the Time Stone.

Cinematography is such a beautiful thing man. I dunno if I'm reading too much into it, but look at 3:05, Tony stares at the blue holographic projection of the time travel blueprint. A color used throughout the movies to signify Jarvis and his technologies. The camera then moves towards him, shifting from the cold technological blue that encompassed all of his past work, into a warm and comforting orange, showing the life he's made now with Pepper and Morgan. Even without the conversation afterwards, it subtly conveys that even though he is dwelling in this safe and comfortable environment, he still yearns to innovate and create a better future for mankind with his genius. Tony and Pepper's conversation afterwards is absolutely wonderful as well, but man idk why that camera shot just made that so much better. I could be reading too much into it but I just thought I would post this somewhere LOL

This is why - "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" is amazing quote. Because power can mean many things. In case of Tony it was his genius

This scene perfectly displayes Thano's remark in Inifinity war: 'You're not the only one cursed with knowledge'.

I need everybody to remember that NONE OF THIS would be possible without Yinsen.

This scene is so perfectly crafted. It shows the whole internal battle Tony is facing. When he is alone, he thinks about Peter, he thinks about the family he lost, about the kid who he saw as a son who died in his arms. On the other hand, he has a new life here that he has built since then that he fears he might lose. Tony is literally living in that train hurtling down the track, you have a lever, what do you do situation!!! Also worth noting is that he weighed all the variables and chose the greater good... Very selfless of him.

​@@moududrohan6583mobius strip is a 3d object that technically only has 1 surface. If you start drawing a line on it, and keep drawing it through its length youll eventually end on the other side of the surface.

He even ask pepper what she is reading before telling her that he discovers time travel Miss you Tony Stark 🫶🏻

For those who may not noticed Tony got that 'mild inspiration' for using mobius strip from seeing Peter holding the Stark Internship up side down.

One does not just discover time travel and leave it be. Power like that is not something to be left to chance.

The design of this lake house is one of my favourite set designs in all of the MCU. I tells us that Tony has reached a different, more serene part of his life but still, on that rustic table he has all the same tech like back then in the garage, he just couldn´t stop being himself. It´s great.

Such a badass movie. Tony and Iron Man will go down in history as one of the best superheros ever.

What i love about this movie (among many other things) is that the Russo brothers gave enough time for these scenes and the characters in it. This movie is long and sometimes slow but for a good reason. Just love it!

You can replace any other avengers and the plan might work out but not Tony. He's the one who made it possible

Robert Downey Jr. made Marvel work by tying together so many things. As an actor, he really did a phenomenal job. The crazy part is the fact that it sometimes doesn't even seem like he's acting -- he's literally Tony Stark in real life because of Marvel. In a way, Robert Downey Jr. helped a comic book become a real life Marvel universe. And that Marvel universe helped to make Robert Downey Jr. into Tony Stark.

I just noticed the sign him and Peter are holding is upside down 😂

Do some dishes, figure out time travel, eat a popsicle, brush teeth and bed time

This scene was so incredibly cute. It stays with me forever.

loved how Peter was always a bit clumsy and he picture had him holding the plate upside down... nice touch

"I Love You 3000" still melts my heart and even breaks it.............😞😞

There’s a missed detail in this scene that not everyone catches. Tony looks at the picture of him and Peter and assumes he starts to fiddle with the model for time travel out of guilt that he feels responsible for what happened to Peter. Peter was definitely on his mind, but what really sparked him to make the model was the fact that in the picture, Peter is holding the award upside down. This gives Tony the “mild inspiration” to make the model inverted which solves the problem!

I miss this guy.

Tony's dialogue with Friday tells me that he's been working on this even before Cap and the others went to his woodin cabin

I love how this scene genuinely parallels the one from Iton Man 2

RDJ's acting here is quietly spectacular. His facial expressions convey the character's mix of emotions almost perfectly in each frame.

He went from being curious to see if Ant-Man’s model would actually work, to successfully inventing a working time travel device, Iron Man being a champion like he always is, he’s this way in both the comics and the movies by the way Legit you think he’s smart in the movies, you’ve not seen nothing

I know in one of the storylines he rewrote his own genetic code on the fly.

I think if thanos had just not killed anyone close to the avengers and left them with happy lives that they wouldn’t have attempted to change anything. Most of them had lost so much so they were looking for any may to fix things but just look at tony trying to find a reason not to do it because he doesn’t want to lose what he has. If every avenger was in the same situation as Tony the. Never would have attempted time travel and thanos would have won

If you think that. Truly think that. Then you don't know the Avengers. Tony lost Peter and that was reason enough for him to take it seriously. Steve lost Bucky. But Natasha didn't lose anyone. And she gave her life away for the universe to be made right. Rhodey didn't lose anyone and still went on a suicide mission. It's not about what they lost for them. It was about what they could bring back. They're the Avengers. They do their best work after the fact.

I mean the number of people who died in the snap is likely trillions if not hundreds of billions. You don't just say eh, we'll just let thanos get away with it and move on despite being able to change it.

Using black holes which warp space and times themselves, we can travel into the future if we hover close to it speeding up or even slowing time where you are but not for the rest of the universe, the last may not be possible but the future is if we ever find a way to harness black hole energy which may happen but probably not

@@Anupamprime The only way I see it being possible is if people have created laws regarding to time travel in the future, (in example: no one from the future can have any sort of contact with someone from the past) so they would use this kind of technology to hide themselves. Maybe aliens are just humans from the future.

Tony being a dad is so heartwarming

This scene has a lot of good and memorable moments, but what stands out to me right now is that this isn’t the first simulation that Tony has run in trying to figure out time travel. The fact that he says “one last simulation” and already knows the Möbius strip needs to be inverted.
