I remember hearing him on infmercials in the 90s. I wrote to him regarding a very difficult situation i was having in my own personal life and received a letter from him with saying that I needed to continue to live positively for being positive is the key to success. He's really great

Amazing, Tony is all time. He doesn't even think twice about giving to those in the audience. I'm sure he had no plans to do those kind gestures what so ever and it was just so natural for him do them and so instant. What an amazing role model. I would die to have the opportunity to go to his business mastery event like he gave to that woman. Just fantastic!

Love Tony !!! If only he can write a simplified Unshakeable for young children. Their parents or teachers can help in educating them to learn about smart investing. We all got to learn it very young. The educators are not teaching such practical and useful tools of life because I believe that majority of these educators do not know about smart investing themselves. The world will be a better place if Tony can help to introduce such teachings that include givings in school.

Agree../ and furthermore, many teachers and professors have never actually DONE what they teach so they’re teaching theory. Often times that theory is completely worthless in real life.

I agree for most people index funds like Vanguard are the way to go and avoid mutual funds with hidden fees. Warren Buffett emphasizes this, but don’t think for a minute that he is in index funds. Most of these folks have hedges in place using options for protection in market declines. I use a married put strategy on dividend stocks that hedges risk between 4 to 7%, while my winners are sold between 15 to 20%. This makes up 94% of my portfolio, while the other 6% is in momentum stocks about to make a big move, according to my methodology. The point is I control risk and position sizing, but it takes financial literacy that no one teaches. This is the kind of subject that should be taught in schools...

Read Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham - a mentor to Warrant Buffett. Tony makes it sound like an altogether new theory / concept, when in fact this is as old as 1949. I wonder if he could let us know how much he himself has invested in index funds.....

  • @bighands69

+Cyril Pinto They are not really the same approach. Graham was really proposing a method of securities analysis so as to pick the best potential stocks on price and then long term performance. Tony Robinson is proposing a much more simplistic concept that is new because it is aimed at savers, workers and home owners who would require little to no training. Grahams approach is really aimed at those that want to buy stocks directly and flip them in 5 to 10 years. Now some of what Tony talks of would have some basis in the Graham approach. Tony did not really create any of the concepts he is covering. He is just telling people the formula of the most successful people including the likes of Buffett.

Tony is preaching something that hasn't made him wealthy. Compound interest has one big negative: TIME. It takes time, and a lot of it. In order to get wealthy with compound interest you needs oceans of time, 20,30, maybe even 40 years. Which means that if you're lucky you will have some wealth by that time. Thing is, what happens to the economy? Will you be alive in 20 or 30 years time? Will you be healthy? You simply don't know. Tony uses compound interest now, because he has a lot of money. It's a great tool to make money if you have a lot of it and to preserve your wealth. It's not a way to get wealth. If you want that you will have to start your own business or come up with a very unique idea that people want to use. Be careful people, all these financial gurus are telling you things that they haven't used themselves in order to become wealthy, yet they advise you do to it. Don't take the slowlane, take the fastlane. Good luck

Explain how secure your investment is when your house is flooded, burnt down, destroyed by hurricanes or tornadoes or tsunamis, eaten by insects or consumed by a neighbouring travesty - if you live in a non detached home? Also, how secure is your investment when the housing market crashes by over inflated prices and valuations? I'm not saying your wrong, I partially agree with you but there’s an entire industry of agents, banks, politicians and retailers that feed off a strong property market.
