This comment isn't for Tony Robbin's but for this channel. I was reading the book The Power of Habit and there's a chapter about "The Importance of Belief and Communities of Support" and then i understood the importance of this channel. Surrounding ourselves with peolpe who believe they can achieve somethings (or they've already achieved it) makes us believe that we can do the same thing and then actually doing it. And by the way Tony Robbin's is awesome :P

Belief and communities of support makes perfect sense. And can influence each other. If you have strong belief, you can find a community (or person) of support. People will buy into you, and cheer you on. It works the other way around too. If there is even just one person, who is truly supportive and empowering, you will start believing in yourself, and you can make the change you want. I know I always play the best football, when there is someone rooting for me, and investing time and energy in helping me progress. Because belief is catching. If this one person believes in me, then there must be something worth believing in, even if I don't see it. And in turn, I don't have to see what it is to believe it. And the belief reinforces itself as you realize it doesn't have to tie into _known_ facts.

I love "1. Raise Your Standards". It's helped turned the last 12 months into my best year ever.

Loved Tony's bit about failure, built up from many poor decisions. - Not making the call. - Not pushing yourself physically. - Not saying 'sorry' when you're wrong. The same is true for success, built up from many good decisions. - Going to the gym when you're tired. - Having that difficult talk with a spouse. - Taking responsibility for mistakes at work.

"Raise Your Standards!" This is a simple but profound statement, because when you expect more from yourself, you'll usually do more to achieve your goals. The simple things in life are usually the most effective and powerful ones. I always tell my daughter to "Raise Her Standards" in order to help motivate her. Like they say, "Keep It Simple!"

#1 Raising your Standards is what struck me the most. We truly cannot make changes until we raise our standards. Second was adding value. I am in the middle of doing exactly that for my existing customers and to share with potential new ones. Making a difference in their lives will make a difference in mine.

Rule#1 resonates most with me. Based on my own personal experience, it took a deep emotional jolt to raise my standards. Intellectual motivation without the emotional attachment never worked for me. Thanks for sharing the video. Tony is one of my all time favourites.

Hi Evan, I need very practical advice from you, please. I want to illustrate books written by other people. What a book says in 10 or 20 pages, can be condensed into a single illustration. Hi Evan, as far as Tony's rules are concerned the one that has had the most influence on me is RAISE YOUR STANDARDS. Also, I want to thank you for putting this one together. I watched many of Tony's videos but your '10 Top Rules ..' nicely sums it all up. I also watched Oprah's Top 10 Rules For Success and found it as useful and inspiring as this one. I really like your format, especially the way you keep the track of the rules on the left-hand side of the screen with the little paper airplane pointing to the rule in focus :-), useful as well as cute and playful. I was listening to Mike Robbins in an audio book on being Authentic. I love listening to him. He is a great story teller but also very insightful. I listen to him on my way to work everyday and I also feel more grounded with the day to day. I would love to listen to him via on this site.

Hi, i liked the video, thanks. I was wondering something. If i really want to make my dreams come true. Should i go away from everyone around me? I mean girlfriend, friends, family? It´s just that, they wont make my dreams come true, they wont work for them, because those dreams are mine not theirs. Do you think i should focus on my dreams or make plans between people around me and dreams?

+Cristian Quecan That is very contextual and depends on whether those people support or take away from your dreams. Are they supportive or are they holding you back? Unless your dream is to travel the world, which would require that you go away from everyone, I would ask yourself that question first.
