That wealth is beneficial to jump start the company, but success will be determined once it can run on it's own revenue, not dippin' into the owner's family nest egg everytime a check needs to be cut. All this talk of big contracts, medical coverage, fewer shows, lighter schedules... shows pay all that shit. I wish 'em the best, but they have a ways to go... he seems to know it... marks don't.

For the first time in 20 years, WWE is being faced with serious competition, in the likes of *AEW* and unlike NJPW, ROH and TNA...AEW has the financial backing to hire the absolute best of the best. The last time the WWE had serious competition was 20 years ago with *WCW* By the end of this year, the world will see which company will sell out arenas and PPVs and go up in the TV ratings.

We had no real vote other than to leave altogether. And a lot of people , especially the more seasoned veteran fans have been disgruntled and estranged now for far too long. Tony happens to be daring to finally do something about it, and having the kind of background that he has, meaning massive financial backing and available funds really helps and sets his endeavor apart from most of us, who have had similar thoughts saying, " I could do better ".

@@RalfEngelmann It's not ridiculous if you think about it. In WWE you would have guys lose over and over again and then the next week they get a title shot, Wins and losses need to be a priority again. Built a superstar up with wins under his or her belt and then when the time is right, they challenge for a title lol, simple booking!

  • @RalfEngelmann

Just to pretend that there is a rational basis for pushing a career or to hold back somebody No win/loss record will ever prevent a carreer push or burial at the will of the management. Didn't you notice how little Tony Khan himself had to say about the records? This was only some general bla bla instead of well-founded argumentation in favor of the records.

@@RalfEngelmann So if a wrestler losses 24 matches in a row and then one week they're given a title shot for doing nothing but losing means they deserve it? Wins and losses do matter, it determines who's ready to be pushed and who's not. Wins and losses don't bury wrestlers unless the said wrestler beats the same oppenent every week but I doubt Khan will do repeats everytime. W's & L's only builds talent up. On RAW Lacie Evans is getting a Women's title match for doing absolutely nothing but wrestling 1 match. On Smackdown Charlotte is getting a title shot because she's (quoting her) Charlotte Flair and she has backstage pull. It doesn't matter if the matches are predetermined. It's a creative writers job it build the talent they have with screen time, wins, character and great matches

Tony Khan is a TRUE professional and great guy! He was a little flustered in the interview but I think it was more of him being excited about what he wanted to say and getting ahead of himself while talking! I hope he truly can change the business for the better! Good luck to him and AEW!

Really great interview! I really hope months down the line that you're able to interview him again. With the company still in its early days, there was a lot that he could understandably not talk about, but I feel like you're easily the best wrestling interviewer to talk to. So hopefully in the future he's able to go into a little more detail.

I’ve really been looking forward to this interview. Tony is an interesting cat who I could listen to talk about this all day because he’s so passionate about it and I have faith that AEW will provide an awesome alternative. Thanks for this Chris. You’re the man. 💯🤘🏽

When it comes to CM Punk, I think if he doesn't want to step back in the ring full time, they may be able to coax him into getting behind the announcers desk. Having JR as the Play-by-Play and Punk as the Color Commentator. I know he has signed with CFFC in that same/similar position.
