    It is so interesting to see actually a very player who played it on CD or Live on this channel ( but for me it is not " seeing is believing" (not can play it). Thank you Mr Tony for every time giving me a new material to practice. Next time , please give us a secret Mr Tony's " fat crawling on the groud but tight sound" on my cheap bass. Thank you.

    Ah. Thank you for that. Yes, seeing is believing right? 😊👍🏻 I always say the sound comes from the hands. No matter which instrument we play, it’s how we use our hands. It’s not easy to describe. 🤷‍♂️🙃

    As I mentioned on another platform, this is so inspiring to a new bass player. The fretless looks too intimidating to me as a new player. You make it look so easy!

  • @FretlessMonster

    @FretlessMonster

    Thanks for that. I love hearing that. Fretless can feel intimidating initially. But like anything you want to get good at, if you put in the time, it becomes second nature. One of the big keys is the side dot markers which I discuss in this video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4hs27mifM2oo7A.htmlsi=3HHKgOW9RcCxMgZM

    I adore the first Blue Murder album so much, classic and catchy hard rock with some seriously innovative bass playing. Having said that, the lyrics to the song 'Sex Ch1ld' have never sat well with me. Hopefully Mr Sykes meant it to be tongue in cheek!

    Thank you. I love that album. We were shocked when we had an adult advisory warning on the cover. It has nothing to do with nasty things. We’re not like that. It was simply a sexy rock and roll song about a beautiful woman. It was the 80’s - a whole different time. But I agree, and it hasn’t held up well. But it was never intended that way.
