Video was ok instructive but for sure not a good learning environment 2 stroke engine revving in the back ground and terrible lighting don't mix.

You said at the start that the part with snap ring inside goes on a certain way but you didn't say witch way?

After I placed the jack shaft assembly back into place tge bolt is no screwing. It's not even catch the threads.

I picked up a few tips but the video is terrible. That revving in the background and the bad lighting ruined it.

today I changed the starter on my 1989 Harley FLHS . the new starter bolted right in place but the jack shaft bolt would not screw into the shaft . Did they change the starter jack shaft for the newer Evo's ? thanks

Unfortunately that’s the environment at many of these tech schools. The guy in the background was most likely doing that for a reason, testing something? It’s common sense actually if you know anything.

I would have told that mechanic to shut that motor down while making the video. Really annoying and unprofessional.
