When this song came out I remember hearing somewhere that she woke up at like 1am to go to the studio to lay down these vocals making her voice even lower. I looked for proof to verify this but haven’t found any credible sources. And no Shanice didn’t sing the background vocals. The background vocals are sung by Braxton, Nora Payne, Sharlotte Gibson, and Rodney “Dark Child” Jerkins.

@@wadner8119 Shanice sang background mostly on the SECRETS album and while Toni would go on tour back in the 97' as well, Chante Moore did background on the SECRETS album. The Heat Album background vocals were mostly done by Nora Payne, Sharlotte Gibson and Toni. As well some of the Braxton sisters. Tamar took over doing most of Toni's background afterwards starting on The "More Than A Woman" album and then on.
