I've been working on tongue blocking as a majority so I can get better. I can bend more accurately with a pucker, well at least for now. But the 3d 1/2 step bend is hard for me to avoid while TB. Thanks for another great video!

I tonque block, but this is great for people learning pucker for years and maybe its hard to became a full tonqe b to mix it up like you or ronnie shellist!puckering is maybe better for overblows and jazz i think....cheers liam!!!

Hey, I am a c o m p l e t e beginner, just learned C major scale (barely), and this confused me. Like with tongue blocking (saw your video on single notes, started from there) I get it almost immediately and am much more certain on where the tone is. Needed a lot more practice with puckering to achieve single notes and know where I am on the harmonica and how the note is going to turn out. I guess I am an exception haha. I kind of want to learn both but not bite into too much at once. I like the struggle, so I guess puckering it is :D

I was struggling for over a month trying to get a C scale with puckering, until I saw Liam's tongue blocking video last week, and I found it much easier than puckering. My current problem is keeping it all relaxed, but I can now get single notes more consistently.

More a question if I may. Having just bought and gained your five lessons on Tongue blocking and learning one of your many recordings "Love me Tender." Would you ever consider or twist the playing of "Love me Tender" with a flutter, octaves, slapping or switches or is that carrying something too far . Is there just a place for two distinct pop / rock and blues / jazz. I guess I am trying to understand if there is just distinct pucker songs and blues songs? Thanks. I guess that piece of string and birth is getting longer haha

Hi Craig, that's a great question. I'd consider putting in some octaves but Love Me Tender (as the name suggests) is a tender song and the thing about those added textures is they're quite abrupt. If you can manage a gentle flutter that could maybe work, but certainly be careful of overdoing things :) Hope you enjoyed the course! Cheers. Liam

Hi Henk, I think maybe you mean U-blocking, where you curl your tongue to get a clean note, is that what you mean? I have a video on it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kZeVt5eydq28ndI.html
