Been working on not only reeking my Cars but smoothing out my tomy track as well to avoid scrubbing speed...any suggestions beside dressing the rails at the joint? Appreciate any input .

Just curious, what's your power source. Do you have power drops and do you have a separate source for your buildings. What brand or typo if power? I've run O gauge trains plus Carrera + SCX digital and an AFX 4 lane race track and I run all separate after market power. I was just interested in your race management software as well. hey Troy, love your videos. my wife and I are new in this and are going to purchase an AFX Big Block Battler MegaG+ HO Slot Car Set. My question might be silly to the slot car community but is an honest one. What is "MegaG+?

+Arlon Caples the mega g+ is tomy newest car it has a can motor in it and a circuit board that is to make the motor use less electricity or something still real fast as you can see welcome to the hobby and have fun

ty. I'm new to it all but want to mod it to make it a bit faster. so far I have a NOs shadow body viper razor front axle, red devil arm new tires and new pickup shoes. who makes good arm brushes a pick up shoe springs

You have two opposition if your on Facebook I have a group page call Slotcar crazy you can join and share stuff there or you can go to Slotcarcrazy.com and create an account it dose not cast anything and you can put all your cars there

New blood here! Just bought my first Mega G+ and I'm really disappointed. My stock SRT and Super G plus chassis are significantly faster because they don't fly off the track so easily. I timed 10 laps at full throttle with "intermediate" power and the older SRT and Super G plus cars wiped the floor with the Mega G+. The Mega G+ barely stayed on the track.

The racing car should be in the other packaging, and vice versa.

They've gone too far these things. We should all be racing t-jets again, in their stock form, with only setup being the allowed improvements. Slot car racing should be about the drivers abilities and not the amount of money they can sink into a new car. I bought a couple of Mega G chassis out of curiosity, quality wasn't perfect and the performance is a bit awkward. More annoyingly, both the long and short Mega G chassis didn't work on all of the available Tomy/AFX track pieces (3" Hairpin mostly). I haven't tried a Mega G+, so I don't know how it would behave, but I think T-jets and anything slow and slippery make for great entertainment for a wider audience. Failing that, the old Turbo Chassis was awesome, spent my whole childhood (1990's) racing those around the floor. I think those long/wide traction magnets are more forgiving for amateurs and children than the small pairs they started using afterwards.

I AGREE......THE REQUIRED skill level of racing is gone......The cars have to much magnetic assistance!!!!!!! We will have OLD SCHOOL THUNDERJET RACES only on my New 10 lane H.O. layout periodically......

THE EARLIER MEGA G CHASSIS ARE MUCH BETTER THEN THE MEGA G+ ALL DAY LONG...JUST REALLY HARD TO COME BY..DAMM THINGS ARE UNGODLY EXPENSIVE NEXT TO MEGA G+....THE G+ PLUS VERSION IS OLY 25 DOLLARS OR SO BRAND NEW AND THE OLD MEGA G IS LIKE 60 DOLLARS USED...BUT THE OLD F1 BODY WILL NOT FIT OVER THE CAN MOTOR VERSION..

I have a friendly comment for you to really think about these cars are going way too fast for reality I've been collecting and running slot cars the damage that you bring on these cars going 1,000 mph scale speed is just so unreal we have to bring this models down to normal speed reality instead of running a 22 V car probably needs to be running about 9 volts or less that's what Real Racing is at real scale speed just think about what I'm saying to make slot car look like real racing
