Unfortunately, the review missed Tomplay 's Auto-Renewal practice. Without notice or permission, Tomplay will use your payment details to take money from you. They will refuse to reverse the payment. Unlawful most countries under consumer protection rights.

Love Tomplay!! Use it for violin and guitar. I was already enrolled, but I learned more about some features from your video.

Be careful of Tomplay. They will debit your card without warning. Best to cancel in the app. It will continue to run for the length of your subsciption but you will not be surprised by them debiting your card without your knowledge in the future. This company is unscrupulous

Great Video! Does this TomPay App offer backing Tracks from groups like SpyroGyra? The song “Catching the Sun” is one piece that I have been in search of a quality backing track! Keep On Rock’n Donna Schwartz!

Do not subscribe to this app. Do not enter payment details. If you have already subscribed, cancel it in the app. It will continue to work until your subscription is finished but there will not be a surprise auto-renewal in a years time with associated payment taken without notice. Also contact Tomplay and request your payment details be removed. You may further block Tomplay on your card. Tomplay are unscrupulous

@@Bushman17 I understand you did not have a good experience, but I don't appreciate you spamming my review and posts. I do not work for TomPlay, so your negative comments will not help you. Many of my students use TomPlay and enjoy it. Always read the terms and conditions before you sign up to anything - they were very clear about their subscription model. Contact them directly if you have a problem.

@@DonnaSchwartz This comment is provided in good faith to assist others who may fall into this trap. Other reviewers of this App have been thorough enough to advise about this trap. Not everyone has sufficient tech knowledge or perhaps abilities to negotiate T&Cs, App subsciptions, etc. Most just want to get on and enjoy music. Companies and reviewers have a responsibility to their consumers to ensure that they are provided sufficient opportunity to manage payments taken from their account. Consumer Protection agencies recognise this and are trying to put protection in place. In the mean time I believe that if it is possible to pass on experience and help to others, especially those that are vulnerable, then do so.

@@Bushman17 I've watched other reviews, and no one else talks about your problem. You have been spamming every single video and blog post of mine, and in 2 languages. I was very clear, and so was Julia Sprossman in my detailed interview with her about the terms. There are more professional ways to get results if you have a bad experience with a company. I don't appreciate being used for your own venting of your bad experience.

Hi Donna, I just watched your KZread video on Tomplay which I am thinking of subscribing to, never-the-less you didn't mention that when you accept the free trial it only applies to the twelve month subscription and if you print a piece of sheet music then you have already agreed to that subscription which, for some, is an issue. I'm really interested in Tomplay as I think it will help focus my Sax playing but I usually play from my computer even at gigs so I'd like to be able to download sheet music in PDF format but I'm not sure you can do that. That feature would save me time as I have to type up my must for a concert instrument: Flute as I play this also, change instruments and save as a pdf. The video,however, was really interesting thank you Steve

Hi Donna, is there a way to make the score larger while it's playing? I'm trying to use Tomplay on a smart phone. But the score is so small while it plaus that it's barely usable. There is way to zoom in when the score isn't playing. But as soon as play is pressed it reverts back to the original small size. Thank you so much!!

Nice job Donna! Great review. You answered most of the questions I had about the APP. Do you know, if you were using it to play with at a gig, can you create a set list and use the APP without being connected to WiFi? You mentioned no Bari Sax yet, but I suppose I could just use the Alto Sax charts.

Tomplay is very nice ! The only thing I do not like is that sometimes songs disappear from the list and I do not know why …

Thanks for sharing , i'm going to give this app it try . Do you think this would be suitable for using at gigs ?

Be careful with the yearly subscription. The do not send a reminder at the end of the year before they hit your card for another year of service. And - they don't give refunds. Deceptive business practice IMHO.

I had the same experience. Devious company!

I used the free trial but all the scores are repeated, does this app offer songs from realbook jazz or mainly pop, film,etc? so far not that impressed

There are jazz tunes in the app- in another review I did with Julia Sprossman from TomPlay for my Everything Saxophone Podcast, we went more into depth on the app

It is never possible to export audio files or sheet music outside the Tomplay app in order to protect the work of our musicians and arrangers, I hope you understand this limitation. However, you can have access any time to your scores and audio accompaniment even if you are offline. For that you just need to download our application. Disappointed that you don’t have the option to choose improv on all sheet music! Also disappointed that there is an option for Christian music but yet basically just Christmas songs on the list! 😢
