Sundown been using neo with aluminum coil tube for years in the Nightshade line iirc. They slap insanely hard for their light weight.

These are what the Harley stereo competitors are using. I wish you could hear some bikes that Carlos does with NVS audio in New Jersey. It’s nothing for some of those bikes to have 50k stereos on them. Sound output is incredible

Cone area is KING. Has THIS product changed your conviction on that? Is this going to be the new Godzilla, King Kong by which others are compared to? Build a box, work YOUR magic, and see what you can do with it. Thanks. P.S. Love YOUR channel. A lot of us value your knowledge and mastery craftsmanship in regards to these boxes.

@mbe.... Been following you for years. Question I have is I know I probably can't go wrong with any king but I just got a new 5th Gen RAM and regardless of a seat lift what sounds better as far as tonal quality when you want it to get loud. The DD2508 SC or these new pups in a 5th gen RAM as car as SQL is concerned? Any elaboration would be greatly appreciat3ed. Thanks in advance.

Supercharged is a Neo ring on the pole used in DD woofers with ferrite motors. A Neo motor is entirely made of Neo

Neo is great especially for motor strength and weight savings. However, being a rare earth metal it remains expensive and has questionable thermal capability. Ferrite is alot heavier but cheaper and has thermal resistance maintaining its overall motor force.

Yes, the cost factor is why ferrite is still going to be the first choice for most people.

@@speedpros There are 4-cylinders making 400+ hp from the factory today. Mercedes Benz A45, Lotus Evora and Emira (which uses a Toyota Engine), The GTR is at 565Hp from the factory with a V6. 20+ years ago V8 were barely making in that same range from the factory. Today 700+hp from the factory is common. My Dually makes 600-ish HP in a diesel engine with no upgrades, just deletes. 20+ yrs ago that was rare. Same goes with Car Audio, what is available today and the Price point makes what we had 20-30 yrs ago look like a joke and waste of money.
