    His early passing was the reason that Luis de Matos - a good friend of him - started a series of high value DVDs of famous magicians to show their beauty and strength, even if they will be gone someday. A very good example was Rene Lavand.

    I have just watch a ton of different wild card routines, including my own :D, I have have to say, even not consider the time he created the routine, it still my favorite to this day... :) I just love this routine. :)

    Not only card magic, but also human interaction magic... i was always amazed how good are magicians talking capabilities with crowd. One would think you have to practice thousands of hours alone in room ..

    2:36 haha epic face from the guy right next to Tommy. I gotta say, the audience is great, they are into it, they participate, they have a lot of energy yes, however all of this is 99% because of the great and oustanding Magician that Tommy used to be, what a great performer. Amazing.

    No they are like that. About ten years ago I met the black haired lady at a convention and performed a trick for her. I wish I would have filmed it as her reaction was strong as the ones at L&L.

    I'm not sure but it is from the Tommy Wonder Visions of Wonder DVD set where he puts on a performance then shows how each trick is performed. Such a great set of DVDs.

If you are a magiciain and you are not familiar with Tommy's work, I HIGHLY recommend getting his Books of Wonder or Visions of Wonder. It will teach you a lot more and also this routine.

    You will be surprised. His thinking was very profound, and his Videos of Wonder (but better: his Books of Wonder) are pure classics and should be a basic part in every collection of a magician. You will learn soooooo much from him.

    A nice touch is where he has the woman to his right examine the first 4 cards. Also the double count of the first set of 4's makes it appear he has shown all the cards. Smooth. But this crowd is a group of fake, professional "over-reactors" which is totally unnecessary for his powerful magic and presentation. No need to amp up the energy for Tommy . . .

    Regarding the overreacting I thought the same. Until I performed for the lady in black without a camera nearby and her reaction was identical. What you see is really herself without exaggeration.
