For all the morons saying modern card-men are way better than Bill, you know absolutely NOTHING. Today's performers take so much influence from his handling, his lines (which are hilarious) and his delivery, he's one of a kind and nobody is even close to his brilliance with a deck of cards and his whole presentation.

I think it’s different magic today. With Mr Malone the magic is just a frame for the jokes and the jokes are just a an excuse to interact with the people. Some of the young fellas like Garret Thomas and many young Spanish fellas focus on the Spector but many just focus on the spectacle. Either way, I love that shit. Eric Chien, Shin Lim , Jeki Yoo or Tobias Dostal. Phenomenal artists even if they don’t really go back and forth with the Audience

I’ve always hated the all backs routine…until I saw Bill Malone do it. This guy’s speed and fluidity are second to none. Imagine him deciding to present it like David Blaine instead of comically? One of a kind

@@miamimagicians I’m not surprised since our community is so small. His entire “On the Loose” series is one of the funnest VHS tapes I ever learned from (I now own them on DVD - but yes I’m that old 😂). Both him and Blaine are geniuses - just very different stylistic approaches. Thx for the response! Happy practicing ♣️❤️♠️♦️

im not really a fan of him chanting his own name and getting everyone to do it after every routine, but he was a student of marlo's and all his performances are 100% sleight of hand with an ordinary deck and no gimmicks, so mad respect for that.

I dont know man , i dont think there is anything he couldnt learn that he cant do and you gotta remember he studied under marlo but i can also see your point because their are alot of guys now that are so good , like Aaron fisher and others but i still think malone is one of the best to ever handle a deck of cards.

Jason Edward he is from the ancient generation thats what make him a little less good than new era with all this fancy bullshit, yet studying under marlo s instructions is such a great advantage and as far as performing goes he is one of the best i have ever seen

SHUUYA Gouenji you are right , he is from the old school and he is probably getting old too but in his younger days if these newer techniques would have been available to him , i think he could have done them but no matter what hes one hell of a performer. Im really into coin magic anyway but who do you think is the most skilled in cards or coins today.

The reason bill is able to make jokes like that is because he’s aware of what he looks like. Anyone with sense knows he’s harmless. So the hitting on beautiful women flamboyantly thing etc. wouldn’t work if it were Joshua Jay say. I know you aren’t like criticizing him or anything. I just know a friend who tried to make some of these jokes in a show & he just looked like a creep. So not great matter in and of itself to copy. But his pacing is excellent. Plus he’s genuinely a master with sleight of hand card magic
