The fact that he pulls these covers off vocally is incredible…. But then you add in the fact that he plays all his own instruments 🤯!!!!

What Tommy sings changed in GOLD. He can do anything with his voice. This is AMAZING, isn't it?

Not gonna lie. I cried the first time i heard this version of the song. We'll miss you forever, Christian. And we'll remember all the days and night we had as kids, running around doing stupid shit. Vila i frid, Christian.

Man it must be very tough... I can seriously relate since I lost 2 of my best friends one in an earthquake who was 19 years old and the other killed during a manifestation where he went in order to replace me at the age of 24...it's been devastating for me since we grew up together by the docks of the harbor in Dürres, Albania and they were the closest thing to a sister and a brother I had. My condolences

Everything Tommy touches seems to turn in to gold! I just love the things he does and yes, so far he provides us with new “goodie’s” every Friday. Hope he will continue doing so❤️

I can appreciate what Disturbed did for this song, making it sound fresh for new audience, but I never cared much for their version, for me it lacked emotion of the original. But Tommy for me perfectly blended that fresh sound with so much emotion... and the fact that he sang it for his friend who passed away makes it just heartbreaking. He does release new stuff every Friday (for now at least) making it my favourite day of the week. Great reaction

I agree. This song really needs dual harmonies, the Disturbed version was a bit dull for me compared to the original . Tommys version is so much better, passion is great but still lacks a second voice ;)......Floor where are you :).. Great reaction, thanks @Play Again?

@@SirTunkur totally agree where is floor 👍, but all respect to floor she is concentrating on her own solo writing and career, and after hearing fire we are all going to benefit, just seen her sing it live for the first time and it really was fire. And I hear it’s number one in the Netherlands, so so pleased for her

Tommy can sing his ass off. What a voice. The tonality is so smooth and full. Remember this was written by and as a folk song. Folk was the original genre for these types of message and social commentary songs. The days of folk are kind of over as far as popular music is concerned. It is now a niche market. In the 60's & early 70's is was a big deal on mainstream radio.

I have always avoided this song since I wouldn't say I like the ones who made it [Simon and Art]. I only knew one version of this. Until now, I learned that the *Disturbed* one exists. Which I more than love - (in Tommy's cover) *Also appreciate your reaction.*

I know you have reacted to this cover quite a long time ago but you keep referencing the "choir" in the background. It's not a real choir. It's a keyboard called a Majestica. Tommy has a video explaining all about it on his channel. It's very interesting. I just so enjoy your reaction to his gift. I think we all feel what you do. Love it.

Remember, Simon and Garfunkel was a folk duo that was part of the Vietnam era peace movement. I love Tommy but this is too much of a copy of Disturbed. There are other songs he can do, not this one. It's been done so move one. Not good enough on this one Tommy.

I know it´s a year later, but i just saw your comment. I think the reason Tommy did this, song, dedicating it to his late friend who passed, is beacause it was a song and version his friend really liked.
