The majority of them were singing, including the coach. Those not singing weren’t doing so out of protest, not everyone sings, not just these players but many at different events, and even those in the stands. It doesn’t mean your against the USA. Chill out.

We have a team of several players, one in particular, who kneel for anthem and can’t bother to place their hand over their heart when said anthem is played. Politics aside, that is showing disrespect toward one’s country. She chose to do it primarily because of one man (Trump). How can I root for a team wearing my country’s colors and flag but yet won’t display respect the same? It has nothing to do with politics. Republican, independent, democratic, etc….all should display respect to the flag and anthem, which in turn displays respect to one’s country. I would never disrespect my country because of what the POTUS does. How on earth does disrespecting your country “get back at” the person you are angry with?

I've coached at every level including the national level. The more I've watched that PK the more I'm wondering if she didn't miss that on purpose. Her reaction is particularly odd and she hasn't talked about the miss at all that I've seen on TV...if Ronaldo missed a PK that cost a win especially to advance when you've got it won. He would have taken that on his shoulders and owned it 100%...but not her...Be careful out there as well, I was silenced for 2 days because I what I've said about MR was considered hate speech and bullying by you tube standards...even more ridiculous

I dislike Rapinoe, but I hate an argument that anyone could have scored that penalty. Even people who never kicked a soccer ball before. You are going against a professional keeper who will easily save it, if you go for precision. If you go for power and you never kicked said ball you will most likely miss the goal entirely, sure you could get lucky, but I bet 9/10 of those penalties by complete amateurs would have been missed or saved in those circumstances [40.000 people watching]

I had followed the UWSNT since 1991 ( I played in college so soccer was a big part of my life) Rapinoe Has always been hard to root for. The problem is she rubbed off on the younger players and it made this team extremely unlikable. Maybe they were/are intimidated by her but they’ve got some work to do if they want their fan base back.

all media have deleted the penalty shootout, show only 2-3 penalties. The shot of Rapinoe is not shown at all. what sense is behind it? the first penalty shootout which was not shown completely.

The American Women's Team showed the world what not to do if you want to be a winning team. Respect was definitely not there, for their country, fans, and sponsors.

I don't think they are necessarily an evil people I just feel they should stay in their lane. I have nothing against any of them, most are just regular people on the way to trying to cope...like the rest of us. But it was great to hear about an activist go down in flames, especially one who thumbs her nose at "normal/heterosexual's" ! Defund them, NO tax money for activist! Actually, on the 4th of April in 2017 it was the FC Dallas UNDER - 15 Boys Academy Team that beat the reigning World Cup-winning U.S. Woman's National Soccer Team 5 - 2...

I dont even like soccer but i played as a kid and that was the one thing i could do well and that was penalty kicks. The key is just to get it on goal because odds are the keeper wont get it. Blows my mind the missed pks in pro soccer.

Thank Gawd they lost! So tired of hearing her whine about how bad she has it in our country but demands more money for her mediocre talent. From said named country. That she hates. 🤔

I don't follow the sport, but I believe that she was benched for a earlier game? If so, between a possible payback for that along with her radical activism, sabotaging the game wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities.

Going for a 3-peat is hard...what made it more difficult was that this team was clearly playing distracted for the wrong individual self-centered reasons on how they see their "platform"...their game clearly showed it compared to their old very centered ones that got them to the win...they were not mentally prepared compared to the hunger of the teams they went up against...sadly (>.>).

Thought an anvil fell on her face as a child.

This is almost as satisfying as hoping to see JB in handcuffs 😂😂

The US team should have gotten rid of Rapinoe eight years ago. There are plenty of younger girls out there that can run circles around an old woman like Rapinoe. The US team upper management needs to be replaced because they should have seen this train wreck coming.
