I'm not really sure but something to do with going into the menu with the 'Esc' button rather than using 'action' helps it work. The Seraph (or any other key item) then inherits the properties of the last used item

Hello, just curious, why when you run do you take out your weapons and put them back?

This is because of two main reasons, guns prevent the camera from changing when it wants to show you something and they also allows Lara to turn on the spot quicker (normally called a pistol turn)

There are different versions of the game and step bugs work differently between them, I am playing on the UK Box and you can switch versions by using the tool - www.speedrun.com/tr2/resources/4jvgr
