Tomato Leaf Blonde Ale Brew Day

This is probably the most experimental beer I’ve ever made. I’ve never cooked or done anything with tomato leaves so this was a total crap shoot.

This is a brave brew I would never have thought to use tomato leaves, I know when I'm cutting ours back to compost they have quite an overpowering funky smell.

I love the way you make beer, don't let the small thigs get to you, Pound looks to much ? make it 1/4, forget to turn pump off, start again and clean up mess later. And experiment... I made a Banana Passion Fruit Sour a week or so back, did it on the fly with know real recipe and it turned out amazing, If you weren't on the other side of the globe I'd let you try it.

I over did Campden tablets for some months and my knees and elbow joints hurt. I was using 1 Campden tablet per 5gallon or corny keg. But 1/4 does it where I live in the UK. If I drink store bought wine: same thing! (they rely HEAVILY on Campden tablets.) Let's just say I'm still in recovery and fear I will never be able to run again. Also if you go to bed after drinking home made charcoal filtered beer (though amazing) you might have no minerals in your body. So watch out for anyone limping. It so fuking hurts. BOIL ALL YOUR WATER TO REMOVE THE CHLORINE THAT THE YEAST REACTS WITH OR USE LIKE ONLY 1/4 of a tablet.

Boiling is ineffective at removing chloramine, which is more common than chlorine in some places. Water is tricky.
