Bobby Bare. Lots of hits and distinctive voice. Back when we had real country music.

A great funny little story at the end! And I can believe it really happened, just that way! 😂

Bobby bare is one of the couple artists who actually convinced me to start listening to more country music. I have never been a big country music fan, especially todays country, but in the 50s and 60s, im in. Thank you, Bobby, for so many great songs..

Love, love this song and Bobby Bare!! Been listening since I was a baby (my lullabies). I'm 54 and thank my beautiful, long gone mommie (born 1928), for my love of music. She made me understand it heals the heart, mind and soul! God Bless All that are here for the same reasons!

Tom T wrote it as he wrote many of his songs by observing the human condition.. and of course Bobby B has a knack for making the listener feel the song. Both such great artists.

My dad had that Bobby Bare album on 8-track tape back in the early 70s. One of my favorite albums.

Bobby seems to have the least aged voice as time went/goes along. A lot of the guys I like really got rough towards the end. Bare’s still kicking somehow. Still think the The Streets of Baltimore is the best country song ever wrote.
