When Elvis died, I could not understand why so many people were sad and crying. When Tom passed, I fully understood. God Bless Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, thank you for the music of our lives.
So, in Jan. 1997 my ex and I moved to Marin County (just north of SF) to live as we both got jobs in the area. I have been a massive TPHB fan going back to late 70s..and yet, for some moronic reason, I didnt get us tix to see them at the Fillmore then. I have no idea why..but I do know I will never-ever-forgive myself for not going. Although I saw them a few times over the ensuing years, it was an unforgivable error...these days, like so many others, I deeply miss him & all the great music we will never be given in his later years. The void he's left behind is, to paraphrase, "so big, it could crush this town." That said...Thanks to the HB & Petty family for keeping his treasured memory--and music--alive with these kinds of releases...
God bless us all who had the opportunity to see TP &The HB's through the years! I love you all. Rock on!🤘😎🤘
I was there the night the surprise guest artist was Carl Perkins. Still have my T-shirt. Obviously grateful for this documentary.
These nights must have been pure magic. I can remember listening to some of these shows on the radio. At the beginning of at least one of the shows Tom said, “Good evening, we are Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and nobody here is wearing any pants.” Hilarious! Tom was obviously having a ball doing these shows. Great stuff!!

Since Tom's passing, each day I listen to The great 🎩TP & the 💔ers. I even dream of him. He young , healthy and beautiful. "Although I never met you, I will never forget you." See you on the best side of eternal life. Thank you Lord for their gifts that can still make us all, feel the music, the words, and the intense way they can take you away from it all. Thank you to Tom Petty, the Heartbreakers and all the families.💖 & ✌
This film was so well done. I loved the guys talking about the Fillmore's history and the vibes it emits. And when Benmont said, "I love these cats," I thought, "Me too, man. Me too."
Rest In Peace Tom what an awesome catalog of music you left for all of us fans to listen to and remember you by!
how much time passes since TP has left the material world is completely inconsequential. time will never dilute how special he will always be and how special a band the ❤️breakers are. one of the finest rock n roll bands of all time. period. the Fillmore run was lightning captured in a bottle for so many of us. blessings.
Thanx for tha Mojo boys
" I love these cats" a simple phrase that says it all. And I absolutely agree with it because I love them too!! Tom you are so deeply missed, but you left so much music and part of your heart remains here because of that. I know someday I will finally get to meet you and tell you how much your music means to me.
Every Tom Petty performance I've been lucky enough to attended felt like a very intense personal experience with everyone .
I love you Tom and I miss the hell out of you. Your music was so soothing and your heart and soul and love in all your songs you wrote. I miss you and I know we will meet one day, God bless your family especially your daughters. I know it must be hard to lose a loving caring father.

America's best ever rock and roll band. Prove me wrong! I was fortunate enough to see the Heartbreaks seven times, including opening night at The Beacon Theater in 2013, 8th row. Also saw Mudcrutch right up front at the 930 Club in DC.
Please don’t stop making docs like this. This is so good.
God I miss those days and these guys
Oh my! I love every minute of this!!! I’m so jealous of everyone who got to see the amazing Fillmore shows! Miss Tom and will never tire of listening to him and the Heartbreakers play! ❤❤❤
The world's greatest rock and roll band... Prove me wrong.

Prove you wrong ? Don’t believe I can. T P & The Heartbreakers, best band ever.
I love hearing his bandmates talk about what it was like for them to play The Fillmore I tried like hell to get tickets to at least one of the show's in 97 I actually wanted tickets for all 20 shows but couldn't come up with the money for even one. I guess I'll have to save for wildflowers and Fillmore set
Love this! I would purchase a full length movie at any time. Miss you, Tom!
God I love these men. The amount of joy they've given is immeasurable. Thank you TP+HB.
How awesome is this? 👍😎🇨🇦💘💘💘💘💘⭐
I am so glad this was filmed and recorded! Just another gift we have! Thank you! Tom had on his juju beads.

Cool,I never knew. Seems like he wrote a line in a song about a girl wearing juju beads (honey bee)maybe? I would have to look through my collection of his cd,s to know for sure.

@@ricknelson4793 it’s actually just a short studio outtake called Them juju beads. Funny as heck! It’s on KZread. And there is a line in Honey Bee, I think it goes, she liked my juju beads so much she kissed my 3rd cousin twice. Or close to that. Lol.

My one and only TP concert was his last. It was a truly amazing ride back to my high school years. Alot of deep cuts and the hits as well. He looked to be having the time of his life and then a week later he was gone. A beautiful night in Hollywood Bowl that I will never forget. Rest in peace Tom. The world not the same.
Love it! Such a great box set... We still miss you _incredibly,_ Tom! 💙❤
What a wonderful treat this is! What a once in a lifetime experience these concerts were. (Can't wait for a box set of the concerts with Dylan.)
Love Tom Petty. Whenever I’m feeling down his music brings me back up. Very nice movie. LOVE YOU TOM PETTY!!!!!
What a great documentary! Was lucky to see them in small venues and large venues. They were amazing wherever they played.
Share thank you so much for sharing these clips and the untold story. This live album is great. I hope one day they’ll release a Blu-ray because clearly they film some stuff. I love watching him cover all the things that influenced him. They look like they’re having a great time and on the CD that I bought it sounds like they’re having a great time. It’s one of my favorite Tom Petty albums of all time. I can’t wait to see Mike in Brown county Indiana in June 2024 in a week and half. I think Steve is going out with him on drums should be super exciting.
By the grace of God... I am gifted with vocals that are exactly Mr Awesome Petty and Orbison...😎👍I live near Gainesville FL to boot...🌴🌴🌴🌴👣

Hmm, Mr Kenny, say what?
Legend!!! Te extraño mucho, Tom!!! Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷!!! 🙌🏽💜🎸💘
I have to admit being a kid of the 80s & teen of the 90s I kind of took TP+HB for granted because they were ALWAYS there every time you turned on the radio or MTV. It wasn’t until a few months ago when I heard Tom’s Traveling Wibury’s song Cool Dry Place for first time, I loved hearing that side of him…playful & clever. Which if I think about his music videos and the 40 yrs of music he created, that side of Tom shouldn’t have been such a surprise to me. Around this same time I had just subscribed to Sirius XM so I wandered over to the Tom Petty station one night. I had no idea a show like Buried Treasure existed and loved how similar our music tastes were (again shouldn’t have been a surprise, his influences are all over his music). I no longer take TP+HB for granted and have spent the last month diving into all the albums, documentaries, books, & KZread content. The Live at Fillmore is one my favorite discoveries so far.
Miss this band so much ❤️
Beautiful! He deserves this respect
I loved Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. They were the best!

Simply...the best.
Amazed and grateful.
Will always listen to his music Miss him so much ❤
Oh my gosh, this was so good!!!❤🥲
Was there for the night Roger McGuinn opened. It was the most memorable night of music I've ever experienced after hundreds of live shows by numerous artists. The energy was unforgettable!!
I like the way Mike slipped in a nod to a McCartney "Helter Skelter" riff at the end of that first song.
Excellent stuff!! 🎩💘 ✌️❤️ 🇦🇺
There has to be more than 12 minutes, no? I mean, come on...this was so good.

Epic.
Show antológico num lugar antológico. Banda espetacular. Rock na veia. Músicos fantásticos. Saudades de Tom Petty.
Tom Petty was southern rock before I knew southern rock like ,,,38 Special, Molly hatchet ,,, know the best like freebird etc.
When I see this I think of 2 things: I can't believe he's gone and why didn't they do this every year all over the country? Just killer sets. I realize the money is bigger in the ampitheaters, but do Fall/Winter/Spring residencies. Damn.
Please,more 🙏
Whoever has those guitars had literal gold….don’t EVER sell them
When will the entire concert video be released on DVD or streaming?

EXCELLENT piece here. And all done without Adria😊
😉Whatcha Doin? Thank you ALL!
Damn I miss the 90’s. Cell phones and the internet ruined our society.
Even the losers can enjoy listening to Tom Petty. I should know 😉 I even prefer him singing (I can't get no) Satisfaction over Mick Jagger because he just sounds more sincere! Lot's of huge egos out there in the music world, but Tom Petty never seemed that way at all (even during his rougher times). ♥
how did these band members avoid the draft ?? no college deferments .....
Hmmm Its seems to be just a good idea. No more no less. Tom and band deserve to be free to do what they liked.
Campbell and his DISGUSTING fretboards….how awesome
