My past relationship was also my first one. I loved deeply, maybe not in a romantic way, but in a caring and brotherly way. Unfortunately, emotional dependency got in a way, and after 10 years of it, we decided to separate, in order to heal, and maybe love each other again, in a sane way this time. This was last year. I healed. But he still needs some time. I'm patient and I manage to rebuild my life without him. I just want him to know that he shouldn't feel guilty, he did the best choice for both of us. I know he's safe, he's with someone he loves, so it's fine by me!

It was the perfect therapy for me. It doesn't erase melancholia, but it really really helps for emotional dependency. I'm with you! You can do it! I thought I was doomed, but here I am now, living my best life!
