I never saw him perform either. I went to World Finals in SoFi hoping he would do a “surprise” run. He was in attendance rooting everyone on though and they played this exact same vid in his honor. Cool seeing him salute the crowd. I was still bummed.

Tom made so many memories for me growing up. I’m 24 and I remember watching him early on in MJ with the Goldberg and Team Meents years being blown away by his performances. Tom, thanks for everything and we will always remember what you brought to Monster Jam!

My childhood wouldn't have been so awesome without Tom! Can't thank my grandpa enough for turning on the TV when I was real little to Monster Jam because without him, I wouldn't have had my childhood hero. Farewell Tom and LONG LIVE MAXIMUM DESTRUCTION!

My favorite driver ever since i was a little boy and i went to my first monster jam at the age of 3. Love you Tom! Thank you for 20 years of carnage in my life.

I met Tom at a show in Pittsburgh just across the street from where he rolled Shake Me in 1998. I will admit it was akward, I was young, in awe of all the highlights I'd grown up with. Seeing him from Goldberg to Team Meents to Max-D. Im so glad I got to see him perform. Thank you Tom you made my childhood so much more awesome.

Got the chance to see Tom live one time and he’s an absolutely amazing driver. Love the way he hypes the crowd up from inside the truck when he’s doing a moonwalk. He’s the kinda guy you just don’t take your eyes off when he’s on the dirt. Thank you for giving me and my kids something to bond over. We love monster jam!

Meeting you for the first time several years ago in the first ever pit party I went to was awesome. I still have the picture of us standing in front of the truck. That was over 15 years ago! there will not be anyone as legendary at the same level as Dennis Anderson whom Tom meets he is one of the most well-known and very crazy drivers who would do crazy stunts there won’t be any other monster jam drivers like him

I have a vintage Team Meents Rev toy in my collection. Never parting with it. Tom's the GOAT. (So is Dennis, FYI)...

When I was little, I was the biggest Dennis fan and my father was the biggest Tom fan. We experienced our own minuscule bit of that rivalry watching Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam every TV episode that those two legends had. I came to respect both evenly as I grew up, and as their retirement years from trucks were announced it was sad to see them go. Tom, as fans we were all ecstatic to see you win one more time in 2024 as you always have, giving it everything and not holding back. There’s a reason why the name Maximum Destruction went to you, and without you it will be hard to fill those shoes. Thank you Tom for everything, and best wishes in this new chapter of your career. I do hope to see you start up a big engine somewhere else in the future. ;)

Thank you Tom, you’ve been my favorite MJ driver since i started watching in 2006, seeing Max-D tear it up on tv before going to school is a core memory of my childhood. I have pictures somewhere of going to my first show at Stafford Springs CT in 2009, got a few pictures with Tom at the meet and greet, i’ll cherish them alot more now.

As a Grave Digger and Anderson fan, I tip my hat to him. He was an incredible driver. We will miss you Tom.

First ever monster jam vhs I watched was World Finals 2. Since then, Tom, Dennis and all those drivers from the 2000’s 2010’s were my childhood. Got to meet Tom and watch him perform a few times live, and wanted to see him in East Rutherford this year one last time, but his retirement is well deserved. Gonna miss you tearing it up Tom❤️

The rivalry of Tom Meents and Dennis Anderson made Monster Jam for me as a kid. Our family would tune in every weekend to see them do battle. I first got to meet Tom in Red Bluff when Northern California was still a stop for the top drivers. He was driving Goldberg at the time. Never did get to meet Dennis. Sad to see icons of the sport retire. Huge thanks to Tom for all the thrills and memories over the last 30 years.

Growing up I watched Monster Jam for the big trucks, and stayed for Tom Meents crazy stunts.

Out of everyone, i jever thought he wouldn of retired, enjoy tom, you earned it

Seen Tom in monster patrol, bulldozer, Goldberg, team meents and in maximum destruction. Been watching since i was 3 and now almost 28. Tom will be missed and there will never be another driver like him.

He was very inducted to the Hall of Fame for Monster Jam 2024.

Mam, I've been watching monster truck shows since I was like 8 years old, I'm now going to be 40 here soon. I finally got to meet this man few years back at the monster jam show in Glendale arizona, my wife got to meet him as well. I did get to let him know how big of a fan I am of him and his style that I told him I've been watching him since he started driving the Bill Goldberg truck. He just laughed and his response was "man you really aged yourself". I took it 100% as a joke cause it's true. That was so many lightyears ago. I've enjoyed watching every run he has made even if it was only 15 seconds long. Thank you Tom for all the memories from when I was a kid to being able to watch you live with my wife and daughter.
