Welcome back to Build Biology - that show where we dive headfirst underneath every piece of sheet metal, fiberglass, carbon fiber, aluminum and steel on everything from racecars to home-brew specials. But today, we’re maxing out the space in the Donut Garage with our dude Ryan Anderson and his Monster Jam monster truck, Son-uva Digger. Over 11,000lbs, with 1,400hp, 30” of travel, parts from a crane, mega reduced planetary gear ratios, and more. We’ve seen these things shredding since we were all too young to drive, and now we can finally see how it all works.

It's funny I was just thinking this morning about how I miss when Hoonigan was one channel before it split into 30 different channels I used to watch it all the time and it was one of my favorites but since the split I really haven't been watching it, it seems like years now. But this morning this monster truck build popped up and I watched it. I just miss when all the boys would hang out doing dumb stuff together, making mechanics quit from having their handywork destroyed so quickly and without remorse, instead of each hooner being on their own trying to make compelling content. It just took away the magic. Maybe it's better for views and advertising but I guess that's the way she goes.
I really like how he can literally explain every part of his truck perfectly!
I think it needs to go on a shirt... “If you don’t run ratchets it’s because you don’t drive hard enough...”. Hellz yeah much respect Ryan you da man!!

That planetary hub is actually exactly how it is on the automated trains I work on and that truck breaks em. Damn.
