yeah I think you can sense some restraint and wanting to stay professional, but there's still a lot of more subtle touches and how she laughs and listens to Tom that show how comfortable she is being with him. Tom also handles it well.

She is not exactly dating publicly. They had to do these videos for the Press Tour and that is the only reason why we are seeing anything. They are really restrained in their interactions. They do not even arrive in the same car.

They arrive in different cars cuz Zendaya has a entire team she gets ready with and arrives to events later than Tom most of the time as she takes longer to get ready !

@@Pyrochik2 that’s literally not comparable cuz they were in a different country for that premiere, and they were staying in like the same exact hotel or whatever. They also had videos of Timothee and the rest of the cast singing happy birthday to Z, etc.

She calls him “sweetheart” in the Buzz Feed interview….I found that adorable. Her next statement was “you’re an idiot” that’s was hilarious! They are enchanting to watch.

You literally have to be a Zendaya fan to see that they're dating because to Zendaya fans there is a HUGE difference in her body language around Tom but to anyone else they might think they're just friends.

True, but I think t was smitten from day one. I just saw a young boy who was trying to impress her, and she wasn't impressed, and wasn't biting. He finally grew up and she noticed. When he touches zendayas hair, i knew. If you're aware of how the majority women, black or biracial really don't like having their hair touched, that was a major tell. Plus, if you saw the show where the guy tried to shoot his shot and grabbed her by her chin... Ooh, the look she gave him! If looks could kill he would have been ended, dug up and ended another three times! And the way the guys stepped up and defended her. Like that. But I'm glad they finally got together. I genuinely hope it lasts.

As a response in an interview article about Tom and zendayas kissing picture in the car, the interviewer asked if he felt violated and if his privacy felt invaded and he said something along the lines of “well when you’re having a private moment with someone you love you don’t expect cameras and people there watching you”

I so agree with you about people using the things about them that aren't conventionally attractive make it into something that is unique and attractive. People always say they don't see what women see in Pete Davidson but he just owns himself and doesn't let it stop him. They're all questioning it while he just keeps dating beautiful women. There's obviously something about him that women like and people can't handle it.

One interesting thing I’ve noticed between them is their power dynamic has changed since they started dating. Zendaya seems a lot less concerned with acting chilled out, almost in a less domineering way. Tom seems much more confident and calm now, almost like he’s not pining for attention anymore? Anyways, the power dynamic switched similarly like that when me and my bf went from being friends to dating

This is a very good observation that I have noticed as well! He looks a lot more relaxed and she is succumbing to her feelings since she doesn’t have to hide anymore.

Tom spoke about how he sometimes worries that his confidence can come across like him be cocky.

I appreciate that they realize that the press tours are part of their professional responsibilities and try to keep their rapport from becoming too "intimate." It makes those moments when they inadvertently let their guards down, more endearing. It's the old adage of "how do you keep your private life private? By not talking about it." It also demonstrates the respect they have for Jacob Batalon (and other actors). Yes, there is a genuine affection there, but they are careful to contain their reactions, as to not make other people uncomfortable. (If there's any going on, it's clear that Jacob has known about it, but they all behave professionally and keep the PDA on the DL, as you mentioned). I believe they are best friends, who became boyfriend/girlfriend over time. And now that their contractual obligations have come to an end, they can let their guard down some. But, even with all the speculation, they both seem like VERY private people, who have surrounded themselves with people they can trust to also maintain their privacy. All, in all, it's just so lovely to see and I wish them a long, happy life together. Their kids will be gorgeous!

I agree though that its probably Zendaya who set the rules on this whole privacy thing. Tom talks in several interviews about how Z taught him so much about navigating his new found fame, interacting with fans etc. If he wasn't with her, I bet he would be openly dating someone else. They are so great together though and it's sweet. Imagine them dating other people and being this friendly with one another....their partners wouldn't be very comfortable with it I imagine

@@TheNdila I think they both have those rules. Tom did not talk about his other relationships either. I think they are 100% on the same page about that. The only time he hinted at it was a confirmation he thinks he had found his LIz but didn't say who or turn up at film premiers with her.

I love that they're not really actively hiding it either though because that feels like it would be so stressful if they were and the whole point is less stress on the relationship. Like in one interview they talk about having watched a movie together at home recently etc not censoring themselves or bending themselves out of shape to keep up the pretense that they're not dating but also keeping it private. They have a good balance I think.

@@rhonal4198 yes. They are not pretending they do not associate and do things together. They avoid being seen holding hands in public though they have been caught doing so a few times.

This press tour is the easiest thing to react to. Anyone would see it. Zendaya lost it though & we were not prepared but so glad we got it.

The tall thing is so true! My sister is 5’10” and she always dated guys at least 6’1” or taller. When I wanted to introduce her to a good friend of mine who is 5’8 (because I thought they’d hit it off and get along) she was hesitant at first but she was immediately smitten when they met! And now, 10 years later, they’re still together with 5 kids and more in love than any other couple I know (besides my relationship of course lol!) I’m only 5’5” so most guys I have dated were taller but I did date someone who was probably half an inch shorter and it was due to his overall personality. I worried at first but didn’t care once I got to know him. My sister and I both had “lists” we went by but the older we got, the less and less those “lists” mattered. While my current 9 year relationship technically “checks” almost all of the boxes on that list, I do know that those lists don’t matter if you really love someone.

I am 6 ft tall and height NEVER really mattered. Most my gfs around my ht or taller, never cared about ht either. Zendaya's mom is 6'4" and her dad somewhere 5'10 to 6' so that's all she's been around. Most of the people I know that have a ht thing are gfs who are average ht. I guess tall women, especially those who would be considered tall even if they were a male, know most males are going to be shorter than them so that ht becomes a non-issue.

Don’t get me wrong they clearly have great chemistry but Zendaya has always known she’s on the taller spectrum when it comes to a girls average height so she probably told herself YEARS ago that she would be fine not having a man taller than her, as it really makes your option pool smaller by being picky about something so minuscule and out of a human beings control naturally. She’s always seemed like she didn’t care about height which is common for tall girls like you said

As a tall girl I truly never cared about the height of a man simply because I wasn’t focused on that but on the way guys made me feel. I’ve crushed on boys shorter than me. I feel like shorter guys are more confident and tall guys aren’t for some reason. Shorter guys have better personalities than taller dudes and that’s because tall guys don’t need to put the effort into dating women generally but short men do.

I love how he’s not just looking at all these clips and explaining stuff, but also taking the time to teach us all this from it.

I don’t think we will ever get a “confirmation” from them - unless they get married in the future and they’re like “surprise!” lol.. They both value their privacy and are both extremely famous, I am sure they want to keep this part of their lives away from the camera as much as possible. Which is also probably why it is hard to get a read on them since most of the stuff they do is subtle. I consider what they have done already confirmation enough. If you look at everything that has happened in the past year, it seems like pretty solid evidence lol. They both follow update accounts of each other (even Toms mom started following a Zendaya update account), the My Mj/My Spider-man posts, the way they have talked about each other: Tom saying his life would be a mess without her (and golf), that he loves her to bits, Zendaya saying the best thing about being part of Spider-man was getting to meet Tom, etc. You can even look back to October/November of last year, when Toms ex was unfollowing everything related to Zendaya and liking tweets about trying to be happy for an ex getting in a relationship soooo

I love that they keep it private as it allows the relationship to have its own space, as much as possible in that whirlwind lifestyle of being young and famous, and it can have better opportunity to grow and develop naturally. I feel like those celeb couples who vlog/post of every outing with selfies and posts flaunting it all end up being short-lived due to having to present this idealized image to the fans as well, that's the bad way to approach it

I'm with you, I can never tell. Sometimes he's flirty and sometimes she is (lots and lots of giggling). They have a long road of media and scrutiny ahead of them so it's not surprising that they seem almost afraid to come out and openly admit it; maybe it's privacy, maybe they're testing the waters themselves... regardless, I'm rooting for them and I hope they make it.

Tom and Zendaya are a real power couple, I truly wish them the best.

There are other videos of interviews of just Tom and Zendaya where they call each other beautfiul pretty etc and joke around a lot with each other, they also seem to touch each other a lot as well

Watch literally any of their French press interviews (shes in the blue top). He kept calling her pretty and she gets super shy. I think they tome it down when jacob is there because on their own theyre more flirty. I think you're right, it depends on the day for her. But also the time. Theres a few interviews were they mentioned how tired they were and you could tell they were a bit delirious. They let their guard down a bit more in those. Id also really recommend the imdb interview and the buzzfeed one. she comforts him and calls him sweetheart because he kept reading things wrong (hes dyslexic). Because they're still toning it down its hard to find moments because there might be just 1 cute thing/slip up in a whole interview rather than the whole interview itself being cute. There's one where they're asked each others super powers and tom says zendayas super power is she can "calm him down when he's too far gone" which is quite telling.

I love how Z is all giggly and acting like a teenage girl talking to her first crush infront of Tom when she's known for her sassiness 😍❤

I 100% agree with making your "flaw" your strength. I did this with my accent and I've made it my superpower. I used to be so scared of people not understanding me and now I see is as "seasoning" to my voice

The sad thing about their relationship is that you can tell how much their privacy means to them. But as celebrities they always have to watch their back, because there is so many paparatzies without shame, blinded by the reward for an exclusive picture of them☹ it truly makes me sad to see paparatzies willing to do anything for a picture.

The thing you said about attraction is so spot on! It’s like this thing I heard- are you attractive to ur partner symbolically or phenomenologically. Basically are you with them because they have qualities that you want to show ppl you also have, or because being with them feels good. With the height thing, it’s totally about perception. Dating a tall man equates to dating someone attractive and that can be social capital.

Look, the only reason I know about their interviews is because I kept watching them hoping Tom would spill spoilers like he used to lol. Instead, we got a boatload of cute moments with Zendaya. From him fixing her hair, calling her beautiful, etc. They are dating, I’m guessing seriously. I mean Tom’s mom, his brother & two best friends were at the Dune premiere to support Zendaya. I also think they did date early on if Tom’s mom’s likes about “how they don’t have to hide anymore” meant anything. So if you get the vibe that they are acting like they did the first go round, it’s likely accurate since that’s when they were rumored to date initially years ago. I say check out the more recent interviews of them. They are more tired & more relaxed in their interactions. Or the French interviews where he said he “stole her heart”. I haven’t even watched them all but their is a lot to shift through. Also Amy Pascal, the woman you see with Kevin Feige confirmed that they are together in NYT. I didn’t expect PDA & was shocked at how much we got. I mean, this is the same girl that tweeted that she would NEVER publicly date anyone & now look at her. IDK if they will last but I doubt distance is an issue since Tom works in America most of the time anyway.

If we believe they dated before, I think distance/jealousy/not being public probably caused the initial breakup. I remember there were rumours of someone close to them, Tuwaines girlfriend maybe?, who gave out information about T/Z and everyone later unfollowed her. They’re both older, more mature and have experience dating other people now, I think they probably know more of what they want / know how to better handle everything now. Long distance definitely takes a lot of work, especially in Covid when theres travel restrictions but I am sure they’re trying their best! If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out but at least they tried 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’ve watched a lot of the press tour interviews and they are the cutest, Zendaya especially is always touching him and laughing at whatever he says! She also has called him baby and sweetheart before, it’s really obvious they’re together and confirmed it in the GQ interview! Jimmy Kimmel also referred to Zendaya as Tom’s girlfriend and they leave heart eye emojis to each other on Instagram!

He needed to watch more of their duo interviews, their chemistry was insane.

it’s not just women, some men have to be taller than the girl they’re dating too. tbh it’s just a personal preference; i personally don’t care abt height and it’s dumb that it’s so ingrained in us that the man has to be “bigger”, but whatever

"tyranny of women" lol, then there's a "tyranny of men" who only want modelesque women. It's not tyranny it's a preference and it can go both ways. I am 5'7 and I went to meet a guy I was casually dating (who was my exact height) and his childhood best friend. The first night his childhood friend said something like "you're tall, thank god you didn't wear heels.".........Fast forward to the very next night when we all went out again and guess what? I wore heels. I like wearing heels and I'm not going to stop just b/c it makes some guys insecure or they plain just don't like that I'm taller. Also in high school there were plenty of boys that would say I wouldn't date so and so because "she's too tall". This def has an effect on girls when they're growing up, they start thinking we need to be at least the same height or he needs to be taller. Anyways, men will choose what women they want to be with and the same goes for women.

Great video! there are some other great interviews that are left out, but I get it though, its a lot to sift through. @@gracilicious7679 that one was great, jimmy managed to do something alot of interviewers usually tend to avoid. he called tom holland, zendayas boyfriend and she didnt flinch nor deny it, she just continued talking about the subject. its strange, most interviewers avoid any relationship related things, one of the things that made that interview so great

The tom and zendaya IMDB is pretty good for their content. i mean, they have a great friendship and its so nice to see.

But even someone who is not an expert in body language can spot when two people don't have any chemistry at all. One of the best examples for non-exisent chemistry: Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman. You cannot truly fake chemistry. Only the best actors can make it plausible. With anyone else, when you look at two actors that don't have chemistry acting out a romantic scene, you routinely see that slight hesitation or micro expression on their faces.

@C · One great example of an actor getting a role because the chemistry test was Dean Cain. When they developed the "Lois&Clark: The new adventures of Superman" show, they had actually planned to get Kevin Sorbo to play Superman. They had cast Teri Hatcher and when they brought in Dean Cain for the read with her, the producers could see their chemistry right away.

Exactly. I feel like there is a big difference between chemistry and tension. Actors can make tension but can’t create chemistry. Tension can make it seem like they have chemistry but it wouldn’t last

Tom and Zendaya are transcendent together. They have so much in common. Both were child stars who transitioned well as grownups. They are both so multi-talented and funny. It's refreshing seeing them together in real life and onscreen. Sure hope Zendaya's in future Spider Man films. It would be nice to see Jacob, too. Come on MCU, you can come up with a great plot that includes each of them retrieving her/his memory!

Definitely do a part 3!! You missed all the videos of the interviews where Tom and Zendaya can't seem to keep their hands to themselves. That one of her constantly bumping his arm was mild, they've definitely gotten waaayyy more touchy in recent interviews compared to the ones from previous press tours. And that's especially coming more from Zendaya's side, the one that's known to be the more private and composed one of the two. He touches her delicately very often too but it's mostly her. She really just can't help but get close to him, put her hands on his shoulders, chest, arms/hands or thighs and either pat, grab or rub them whereas before she'd stick more to just being within her 1x1 square in her chair very well composed and more "professional". That drastic change alone beyond just the noticeable giggle, is a huge surprise and dead giveaway that she's now even more comfortable with him in a way that's different and deeper than before.

oh there's so much more moments of them during this press tour! I know you don't like watching fancams where people try to create what isn't there, but I wish you'd ask someone to point you to a good compilation, like Zendaya overall was so touchy with tome, just little moments where her guarded usual behavior is down

Also us longtime fans know they’re a legit couple, Tom’s mom follows Z and has expressed how much she likes Zendaya. Z’s mom and dad have expressed the same about Tom, and Tom recently refollowed or finally followed Z’s dad on Instagram cuz they spent Christmas together

anthony, theres a clip in an interview (forgot which one, but i remember Tom was wearing a white jacket and Zendaya was wearing a brown button-up tshirt) and Zendaya was trying to answer a question that the interviewer gave her and Tom kept interrupting. He noticed that he interrupted her and put his arm on her shoulder, which looked very romantic to me, and said for her to continue what she was saying. ngl that moment was really cute to me and if u ever make a new part, u should react to it

I think they had something around the time they did 'Lip Sync battle'. The looks that were exchanged were pretty telling. They have been great at keeping it under wraps. Tom has said he has visited the cast of 'Euphoria' more than 30 times & Zendaya has been on set (Spiderman 3)watching him when she didn't need to be there. Jimmy Kimmel stated it in an interview( "you are here with your girlfriend") with the cast also. (I'm a huge fan).
