I rewatch this all the time & wonder if people still did so I could leave this for people to see. I just seen a vid that had an article by Tom's dad saying he didn't want Tom doing the show, especially Rihanna's "Umbrella" & dressing this way cuz it would make her fall in love w/him & could be disastrous. But his feels lucky it all worked out. Also, was another article w/Lip Sync Choreograher at time who was assigned to Tom's dance seen. She said she was worried about his dance part in the water/rain & was scared he was going to fall real bad & get hurt. And I bet she was. She COULD NOT let Spiderman get hurt..Holy Crap. I bet she was scared. Then she went on to say on his last flip in the rain she was really scared about cuz the 1st time he did it, he did fall or flip wrong cuz he slipped in the water but he said he was not going to remove it & wanted to finish w/it. So there was no more falling which I'm sure the coreographer let her breath out at the very end of everything. I mean...can u even imagaine what she was going throught & feeling. Sorry for my book writing. But I end up doing this all the time. I don't proof-read so u might have to make up parts I say & don't understand. LOL

Tom played Billy Elliot on the West End when he was a kid. He's a trained ballet and tap dancer and he also does a whole load of gymnastics so when he got cast he was all "standing backflip? Sure!".

Tom is from the UK, and he got his big break playing Billy Elliot in the West End (hence the dancing chops.) And the UK has a looonnng tradition of men performing in drag, from pantomimes to olde-time variety shows. Tom did us proud!

This episode was a gift to the world. By far the two best performances ever on that show. Tom had me 💀

One of my favorite parts is rewatching (several times), just to watch L.L. Cool J's brain get stuck in blue screen.exe for Tom's entire performance, reconsidering EVERYTHING he knew in life! Zendaya definitely doesn't get enough credit for being amazing, too, though. She was *IN* a Bruno Mars music video, so she really nailed his mannerisms. Amazing that she transformed into him so seamlessly, despite being quite literally an entire FOOT taller than him. (The perspective shots they kept using to try to erase the height difference in the music video had me rolling.)

Tom Holland's performance on this show is a freaking gift, my friend! We all reacted the same way you did, for real.

In almost all of the reactions I have seen to this particular battle, there have been comments about Tom Holland dressing as a girl but nothing about Zendaya dressing as a guy. This concern is always from the men watching and I wonder if they are finding themselves slightly attracted to Tom and are freaked out about it?

Fun fact: as a kid Tom Holland was a ballet dancer and would do a lot of gymnastics. He kept it up throughout his life and said it also helped a lot with his role as Spider-Man

Tom was in Billy Elliot. Thousands are spent to train kids with potential in dance and gymnastics for this show, and only a few of those, after the extensive training, actually make the cut. These kids are taught some seriously advanced stuff that most dancers don't even learn until adulthood. Holland was already involved in dance, then spent 2 years in intensive training to prepare for the role of Billy Elliot.

I give them both props for genderbending their performances and going all out. I don’t care for the show but I don’t mind watching the performances themselves with all the other bullshit cut out. This was definitely the best episode that I’ve seen. Forget the outrageous outfits and all that, they’re both just incredibly talented at basically anything they do. They’re super cute together too, though I don’t think they dated but I could be wrong since I don’t follow any of that stuff. They both killed it but Tom stole the show for sure.

Tom is a trained dancer he was in Billy Elliott which is about a young boy who does ballet. Hes been trained since a child.

It is so funny watching male reactors be OK with Zendaya portraying a male but totally freak when they see Tom; it’s like “no way” cause they can’t/won’t admit he looks good. Great reaction Billy, total appreciation for both of their hard work

you have to watch the one were the Rock himself sings "shake it off" by tailor swift

It's even more impressive when you consider that he's English, English men are known for having very stiff hips and Tom's were like BUTTER 😍
